The wheelchair assistance through the airports is excellent! So thankful for this service Inflight attendants are helpful and food is good. Our pre-ordered meals somehow failed to register, but the options available were good! read more

I would give this co less than 0. Last night , waiting two hours without any word , flight cancelled. 9 pm. Just like that.. we get in line to explore options.. nothing for next day. We are rescheduled for same flight tomorrow.. got a voucher for one night at airport hotel. Had to pay the second. Alaska would not.. They rob off our time, they inconvenience a plane full of travelers, all they say is sorry. I said to a woman who called I would never fly Alaska if it's free. She said" I don't care" is this expected from a company rep.? I am beyond disappointed and angry. We could be home. Instead we are still in limbo and have two days to go,, an explanation would be acceptable!!!!' read more

I absolutely love Alaska Airlines. They are unecuivically the best airline - and I fly internationally often. I've flown with Alaska my entire life as I am originally from Seattle, which is where it's based. While it's not as fluffy as some international airlines, it's the best quality I've seen here in the states. The staff is EASILY the BEST and most kind and considerate. While I won't doc it a star for this, I do have to say, with the hundreds of flights I've flown with Alaska, Baltimore is the only destination where the time reliability is seems to be inconsistent. I think I would be generous in saying from my experience it's delayed about 50% of the time. read more

Top-two Airlines; Easy experience I've recently adopted Alaska and Delta as my top airlines after so many cancellations on competitors. Have really enjoyed the difference-- seats are more comfortable, the order-ahead food is quite tasty, and the staff is super friendly. The space and experience at the airport were very comfortable and the staffs were friendly. We had a snowstorm coming in when we were to depart. Alaska gave updates and we left a little early, boarding quickly to avoid any delays. Folks were friendly and efficient. read more

Always late, always delayed... My last flight kept us on the tarmac for 3.5 hours... Who is running this business? Definitely will be my last choice in an airline. Pathetic. read more

Southwestern Egg Scramble with Chicken Chorizo breakfast on Alaska Airlines - First Class from Seattle, WA to Dulles International Airport, VA Breakfast on the final leg of our trip home from Hawaii. It was a nice hot meal of scrambled eggs with chicken chorizo, hash brown potatoes, a blueberry crumb cake, Ellenos greek style yogurt with Marionberry, and a fruit salad. Everything was well prepred, though the hash browns were not so crispy (hard to do for pre-made meals), but still good. The eggs were nicely cooked and not rubbery. They had some diced tomato, sweet peppers and chive to add some excitement. The chicken chorizo was nicely seasonsed with a snappy texture and coarse grind. The Marionberry greek style yogurt is a flavor I don't see often. Marionberry is a type of blackberry cultivated in Marion Conty Washington. It was like a cross between cranberry and blueberry to me. The blueberry crumb cake was a little overly sweet to me. I wish I had the foretought to request a cup of coffee or tea before the meal service. Actually, considering most of the Alaska Air Meals we've had include some kind of sweet cake, it's not a bad idea to order coffee or tea before each meal. Everyone was so polite and in good spirits. The plane was clean and smelled fine. I think this my third flight with Alaska and i have not had a bad crew. Everyone was professional and the flight was on time. My only issue is width of seatsI'm halfway teasing bc I gained weight but there are others that may have a difficult time being comfort in the seats. The flight attendants definitely cannot gain bc the aisle feels like "if you're a over a size 12" you may have to turn side ways a bit I will fast a bit before next flight read more

I love Alaska Airlines !! .. BUT the website and app are absolutely terrible for the last couple months. Always getting locked up, errors when purchasing and major delays leading to increased purchase prices. it took me 3weeks to resolve an international flight issue and I had to end paying $1600 more because the website wasn't working. Agents were unable to get issues resolved as well. read more

I have been flying with Alaska Airlines for quite some time now. In all honesty, I don't know why their reviews are so low. I've noticed several upgrades to their planes after they acquired Virgin America a few years ago. They maintained the neon lighting feature from Virgin America's airbuses as well as the monitors in the back of each seat with the ability to watch movies or text other passengers. Alaska Airlines has been around for a long time. They fly coast to coast with travel to Mexico as well. They have their frequent flyer program in which if you sign up for their credit card, you'll receive several perks. Of course, you'll accumulate miles as you fly with them. They also offer a buddy pass once a year for you and a guest to fly together for the price of 1 ticket. Finally, you get to check in one bag for free if you book your flight using your Alaska Airlines credit card. Anyway, I'm so glad that they've added more comfortable seats. Legroom is always going to be an issue in coach but if you book the exit row, you'll have ample room to stretch out your legs. You can also prepay for meals prior to boarding the plane or order once you are inflight. The restrooms are smaller than they've ever been, quite possibly the smallest restrooms that I've seen on an airplane. The staff at Alaska Airlines are very friendly and accommodating. They're always willing to help you out as needed. When you scan your boarding pass, they always greet you by name. Their goal is to make this a comfortable journey as they show their appreciation for your patronage. I've flown on different airlines and I always find myself coming back to Alaska Airlines when flying domestic. They're punctual and they take care of their passengers! read more

I have given this airline 1 star bc I have to select something to leave a review. This airlines is absolutely the worst I have ever flown with. It was the first and the last. They have a habitual occurrence of losing your bags and waiting over 24hrs to get it back. They left my bags on the other-side of the coast after I repeatedly told them I had insulated medication that needed to remain cold. They told me that they would help me in replacing it once it arrived. My medication cost $349.00 for 1month to purchase. Once my bags finally came in my medicine was ruined and they took zero liability for it. They offered a $50 discount code on the next flight. They lose ppls bags a lot!!!! the day I arrived to my destination there was a 45min wait in the line to claim baggage I was not the only passenger. There were ppl with kids that needed baggage. My biggest suggestion is never to fly with this Airlines if you don't want to risk your baggage being lost and you half around the world practically naked because they lost your bags. read more

For Flight # 5 DCA-LAX on Sunday, 11/17/19...HORRIBLE In-Flight Service. Every last crew member aside from the Pilots on this flight needed to be grounded, or perhaps take a nap due to the curt, snappy & somewhat being bothered demeanor displayed. As a collective, we passengers were perplexed with the snarky service that none of us wanted to endure amongst the 4.5 hours cramped flight. Only as a business necessity will I travel on Alaska again. read more

#AlaskaAirlines If I could give no stars I would. It's one thing to make a mistake--we all do--but fix it as best you can. And more importantly don't lie about it. I fly to LA a fair amount on business. I usually fly other carriers and have never had a really bad experience. This week I tried Alaska. What was I thinking. I paid to upgrade to premium seating--my call and I was happy to. You get what you pay for...or so I thought. I did it by phone to make sure it was right. Ugh. I get to the airport and they screwed it up. I paid for a premium seat and they put me in economy. No big deal, they could just fix it... honor the contract and put me in premium. I spoke to the agents. Nope. They told me there are no seats. I called the help line and they said no seats. Ok sucks but it happens. Except they just plain lied. Turns out there are open seats in premium....No joke. After all that. See photo. They could have easily fixed all this and given me what I paid for. It would have been nothing. So they finally refunded the cost of the upgrade I didn't get and they sounded like I should be grateful they did that. (Insult to injury, I just paid more for internet access.) Remind me why I didn't fly #Americanairlines or #JetBlue or pretty much any other airline. Honestly Spirit is better. read more

When you compare Alaska to the other carriers they are unparalleled. The only other airline that provides a service that even comes close is southwest. My only complaint about them is that they have no real first class and no assigned seating. Alaska's flights are rarely if ever over booked, their customers service is always amazing from the phone service to their flight attendants and crew members the whole team is actually competent. Their aircrafts are clean, new, and well maintained. When you get on the flight everything actually works. The only thing lack luster on their flights is the inflight food it's kinda bleh other than that its the best read more

Upgraded to first class for ZERO reason. The seats were bigger but uncomfortable and dirty. I asked for a blanket because of course it was freezing and the stewardess looked at me like I was crazy. No tv or entertainment set. I basically upgraded for a small bottle of water. The service was just as bad. I should have just stuck to my normal boarding pass. read more

Friendly staff. Clean airplane. Good safety presentation. Had to wait for 6 other planes to take off. But that was not Alaska Airlines fault. I've been flying for 40 years. I've flown American during the bankruptcy, I've flown miserable flights on United, I flew Northworst before they cratered, I've flown the overpriced Delta. Here's how much I hate Alaska Airlines. I would rather use Spirit or Frontier Airlines. That's how much I despise Alaska Airlines. Why can't I get a seat assignment when I confirm my flight the prior day? I couldn't get through security with the non-seat-assignment your stupid airline created. I had to walk the length of DCA and back to "see a ticket agent" because that was mandated by your web site. So even when I saw the ticket agent -- THEY STILL COULDN'T GIVE ME A SEAT ASSIGNMENT!!! WTF?!?!?! Why send me the length of the airport, delay me, waste my time, only to tell me the seat had to be assigned at the gate? Now I will look forward to my crappy, back-of-the-plane-middle-row seat. Thanks, Alaska Airlines. Go suck eggs. read more

First First Class flight...seriously disappointing. No drinks as soon as we sat, no acknowledgement, steward decided to monitor my in take of beverages, food was not good, and the last hour of the flight the staff ignored most of us. We live on the Seattle area so Alaska Airlines has their main hub there. Believe everything you see on the news, do not fly Alaska until they fix all of their glitches. Do not waste your time or money with this career. read more

Excellent airline! Exceptional service: or no militant crazies, healthy food options, and a decent movie selection that will keep you entertained until you arrive. Now to my personal experience: I inadvertently left my suit on the plane with all of my excitement to be home and nearing my own bed. As I was leaving the airport the feeling settled on me like a set of sandbags on my shoulders. I was sooo bummed. Not about the possibility of losing my suit, but of having to turn around and spend more time at the airport. And lets be honest, airport checkins and security or dentist... me neither. I tried something agains all of our best advice. I called customer service that is related to the baggage department as I was walking back into the dungeons. I was directed to DCA and landed (pun intended) a really nice dude that said he was looking at my suit. The call lasted one minute before he was on the line... WHAT?! Shocking. So he directed me to his/their room and I turned a corner and walked through a door to see the cool dude I was talking to on the phone as well and we laughed and he gave me the suit (I gave a detail or two to confirm while on the phone). He was about 100-feet from my ride outside. I was amazed. Guys, try Alaska. I will stand by them as long as the price is still right. Safe and Happy Travels! read more

Inconsistent boarding process, times, and terminology. Both departing and arriving flights I didn't know when Preferred boarded, despite being there before the scheduled boarding time. For one of the flights, the employee at the gate seemed rude to passengers, but I went ahead and asked if Preferred boarded already. She said to go ahead but immediately moved on to the next customer, not taking my boarding pass. I ended up just boarding last and having to check my bag, despite being row 5 Main Cabin Select. The actual in-flight experience was nicer than Delta, United, and American. It was the cheapest flight option too, but from now on I'll just pay more for the smoother overall experience of Delta/American. read more

I'm giving a 1-star because I can't give less. I flew from DC to Honolulu. 12 hours flight and the only thing you can get, complimentary, is water and few other beverages. So if you don't want to starve or spend a fortune to eat, bring some food! Be prepared to pay for everything: food, entertainment (no tv on board, no movies, unless you pay to rent a tablet), baggage (for each checked bag you pay $25 but several people had their carry-on luggage checked anyway (because there was no room for bags!) and their flight tickets are not even cheap. To avoid! read more

Air carriers aren't typically known for exemplary service, and to be sure, every airline has degraded from what was standard just a few years ago. But Alaska Airlines is still clinging to some vestiges of customer service, and is one of the last in the USA to seemingly appreciate your business. Its only a matter of time before every last U.S. airline sinks to the lowest common denominator. Until then, Alaska is your best bet. read more

Their customer service used to be pretty good. Now it is absolutely awful. Wait times are up to an hour for a call that they demand because of a schedule change. Terrible airline. Had an emergency appendix surgery on vacation. We tried to get back home 5 days later. Changed our reservation, they doubled the price. Tried to get seating so I'd be more comfortable, they tripled the price, such crooks. I'd have to sit apart from my spouse who was taking care of me. Also it was a day later then we needed costing us more. They were uncooperative, unfriendly, and uncaring on the phone. When we had enough of them ripping us off when we were at our lowest we canceled our flight. They charged us $199 ea for cancelling and $99 for something else. We just made the reservation within 30 minutes. WTF! Alaska airlines crew are just racists. I was profiled and moved from my seat even after I purchased my ticket on their website and got a confirmation. Worst part is I was charged the extra premium upgrade price, moved rudely and was intimidated after I boarded my flight. It appalling to see how racist people can and how quickly civility is lost. My review shouldn't stop you for your next Alaska purchase but if you read this do note that YOU are somehow supporting racists in this day and age! Hope you choose wisely. read more

Flying back to the East Coast on Alaska Airlines today. Really disappointed in the decline of service and accommodations on Alaska Air. Traveling to the NW on Alaska had always been enjoyable. They don't offer convenient non stops to Seattle anymore. You are forced to make one stop causing your whole day to be lost on air travel. They pack you in like sardines and then tell you there's no room for your bags! This was the worse part of our honeymoon travels! Excellent! I can't believe I am rating an airline 5 stars, but I think Alaska Airlines is an absolutely amazing airline with very professional service. My husband and I recently got married and I had to transport my wedding dress from DC (where we live) to LA (where we were getting married). I called ahead of time and asked if Alaska Airlines would be able to store my wedding dress in their coat closet up in the front of the plane. They said they should be able to do it. When we arrived at the gate for our flight to LA, we asked the customer service representative if they would store my wedding dress in their coat compartment, and they gladly did so. They were extremely professional and nice. They stored my wedding dress in their compartment and it was hardly wrinkled at all when we landed in LA. I didn't even have to get my wedding dress steamed! I was very impressed with the service. Many other airlines (ahem, Hawaiian Airlines) do not allow you to store your wedding dress in their coat closet, but Alaska really went above and beyond to treat us like people. We took Alaska Airlines back to DC from our honeymoon and from the trip we took after our honeymoon, and they again allowed me to store my wedding dress in their coat compartment. And on top of that, they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding! Superb and very professional service. I've found my new favorite airline to travel with! read more
