A Smooth Journey from Check-In to Arrival ## *Starting the Trip* I booked Business Class for a long-haul flight because I had a packed schedule waiting for me after landing, and I wanted to arrive feeling rested instead of exhausted. From the moment I entered the airport, the experience felt noticeably different. The dedicated check-in area was calm, and I was assisted almost immediately. My baggage was checked within a few minutes, and the staff made the process quick while still taking the time to explain the boarding details. It was refreshing to avoid the usual crowds and long waiting lines that often come with international travel. After completing security, I spent some time in the Business Class lounge before boarding. The lounge had a peaceful atmosphere with comfortable seating, large windows overlooking the runway, and a good selection of freshly prepared food. I enjoyed breakfast along with a cup of coffee while catching up on emails using the complimentary Wi-Fi. The environment felt relaxed, making it easy to unwind before such a long journey. Instead of feeling impatient for boarding to begin, I actually appreciated having extra time to enjoy the lounge. ## *The Flight Experience* Boarding was organized efficiently, and Business Class passengers were invited onto the aircraft before the main cabin. I settled into my seat without any rush and immediately noticed how much personal space was available. There was enough room to store my belongings, stretch my legs, and get comfortable before departure. The cabin crew greeted every passenger warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the very beginning. Once we reached cruising altitude, the meal service began. Every course was served individually, and the presentation was impressive. The food tasted fresh, and I especially enjoyed the dessert that was served after the main course. Throughout the flight, drinks were offered regularly, and the crew remained attentive without constantly interrupting passengers. The entertainment system featured a wide selection of movies and television shows, which helped pass the time before I decided to get some rest. One of the biggest advantages of the flight was the seat itself. It converted into a fully flat bed, allowing me to sleep comfortably for several hours. I usually struggle to rest during overnight flights, but this time I woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed. The cabin remained quiet throughout the night, making it easy to enjoy uninterrupted sleep. ## *Landing & Overall Impression* Breakfast was served before landing, giving everyone enough time to wake up and prepare for arrival. The aircraft landed on schedule, and my luggage appeared quickly thanks to the priority baggage service. From the airport experience and lounge access to the onboard comfort and excellent service, every stage of the journey felt carefully planned. It wasn't just the larger seat that made the difference--it was how relaxed and effortless the entire trip felt. I would definitely choose Business Class again for another long international flight.

Me and my mom woke up knowing that our flight was delayed 2 hours, because there was a "STORM". THAT IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF A 9 HOUR WAIT IN THE AIRPORT!!!! We got to the airport and everything was normal, then we got to our gate and #1 the chargers didn't work at our gate.of course. Then we checked her phone and it was supposed to board at 11:45, let me remind you that currently it was 2:00. Then we kept checking and checking if our flight to Boston would actually depart. It was 5 45 and the plane has not even LEFT the airport that it was supposed to leave to pick us up oh wait I JUST got a notification MY FLIGHT THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO LEAVE AT 12pm IS NOW POSTPONED TO LEAVING AT 8:11PM!!!! We ask to get on a different flight to Boston and guess what?!?! IT LEAVES THE AIRPORT AT 8:30!!!!! WHAT TYPE OF AIRLINE DOES THIS!?!?! I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE PLANE TO LEAVE BOSTON SO I CAN GO TO BOSTON!!!!! (And the storm is now in Pennsylvania and I am in Washington DC!)

We got to the JetBlue terminal from Orlando and it was a great and perfect experience. At least to us! We were told that our baggage will be in the lane 6 and as soon as we got there they started to come out. I got notifications by email of my luggage and I loved that. We got them all without any issue. They have a good amount of chairs which I liked since we needed to wait for our ride.

Now, it's American Airlines that I frequent, along with past America West Airlines and US Airways patrons. I find that, as with any other airline, customer service is often better than not, but there are always a few hiccups. With American Airlines, you can get someone on the phone, on a chat, on social media, or in person to assist, and with some respect on our part, we can often get what we need. I rarely have luggage issues, though there was one time when my bag was damaged, and American Airlines gave me a replacement while they repaired my original. I regularly fly in and out of the American Airlines gates at Phoenix Sky Harbor and frequent hubs like Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Philadelphia, and Charlotte. I even make it out to Washington DC on occasion, having either visited the area or have a layover through as I did today. Often, my travels require a connecting flight, and my flights are, more often than not, on time and without delays in departure or arrival. With status, an American Airlines credit card, and membership in CLEAR and Global Entry, I do not pay for luggage, receive priority luggage handling, board early, speed through security, sometimes receive upgrades, and access lounges. Traveling has become more of a hobby and a habit, and with American Airlines as my go-to airline, I accumulate miles quickly while also earning status and Loyalty Point rewards. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard, which offers complimentary Admirals Club access, and the American Express Platinum card, which offers lounge access, travel credits, and complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry memberships. With these two credit cards, I can access the Admiral's Club at Orlando International Airport or The Club at MCO. I may even be able to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge, though I've never checked. Also, through T-Mobile, I received free Wi-Fi on American Airlines flights (though now it is free for anyone with an AAdvantage account). Through my American Airlines AAdvantage status, I get upgrades or free paid snacks and drinks on flights, along with other benefits. To retain status each year, you need to earn Loyalty Point through flying, credit card spending, and promotions. You can also earn Loyalty point rewards after hitting 175,000 points, 250,000 points, and so on. While it is difficult to receive upgrades due to the large number of people at the Executive Platinum status tier, the benefits I do receive are worthwhile. I have also experienced technical issues on flights, but not enough to cause me to abandon American Airlines, especially when every other airline faces the same challenges. All in all, American Airlines is a great company and does as well, if not better than, any of the other major airlines.

Customer Service certainly could improve. But part of that service, in addition to the reps who you…read morespeak to on the phone, is having a RELIABLE flight schedule. I am looking at Yelp reviews from 4 years ago which sound exactly like my experience today. A delayed flight in Vermont caused a group of 4 to miss our connecting flight, which inexplicably decided to leave 10 minutes EARLY as we were RUNNING to our gate. Unnecessary. Then we call the airline and get some rude woman and then her rude supervisor, neither of whom knew American Airline's policy on accommodation when THEIR flight delay caused us to be stranded in D.C. overnight. They both told us we didn't qualify for hotel rooms and food vouchers, which was not correct. Finally I called and got a different representative with completely different results. This morning we arrived at the airport hours early and...you guessed it, our flight is delayed once again. I hate Frontier Airlines for their predatory bag fees, but American Airlines' issue is customer service based. DO BETTER AA. Do better! Monitor your customer service reps calls. And get your flights on schedule. People spend a lot of money on travel plans. The airline flight schedule should NOT be unreliable. I will be very wary of using this airline in the future. I certainly cannot recommend it.

It was cramped and crowded and frankly uncomfortable. Restaurants in Terminal A are terrible as well. There's nowhere to eat if you get counter service, and the sit down restaurant (Reservoir) wasn't great either. Again, this is more on the airport, but if you're flying Southwest out of DCA, don't plan on getting here too early as there's not much to see or do. You don't have access to the rest of the airport once you're through security. I will say the ticketing counter was super friendly with checking a bag, and it was easy to get through security, and also a short walk to the gate. All pluses... but Southwest needs to invest in the terminal! It's a mess.

Or perhaps it was the way they just THREW my bag onto the conveyer belt right in front of me (no hiding the bag brutality). Yes. I think that's what it is - the utter disrespect for one's property in your face. Before the purchasing seats it used to be quite disorganized with the onboarding process (cat herding) but now with assigned seating (cattle herding) it seems to be better, however the gate agents always appear to be angry and speaking loudly to toddlers all the time. On the upside, the planes appear newer but if the FA's also seem angry and annoyed with their job, it's all moot. Ticket fares are affordable. I guess you get what you pay for.

I was dropped off since I needed to arrive before metro started. If you are dropped off, there isn't much walking to security. I flew with Frontier on the way to Vegas (via Colorado). I signed up for mileage points and was forced to download the app, just to check in. The app was informative. I just don't like having lots of apps on my phone. I had issues with checking in when I thought I needed a TSA pre check traveler number. I called Frontier to get help. I was advised to go to the airport early to get the number. All Frontier had to do was tell me TSA pre check was optional. I was stressed until a TSA agent called me. If you ever need tsa - text them at the number on the web site. If you call the tsa number, you are a hostage to a list of recordings that don't always give the choice you need to resolve your hurdle. The flight attendants on the long flight from Chicago to San Diego were HORRIBLE. I had a problem with my in-seat TV screen. It did not work after takeoff. He would not make eye contact with me at all from the moment I boarded, and throughout the flight. While she was serving drinks, I asked the female flight attendant for help with my tv and she said that all that she could do was have the pilot reset it. We had a female pilot so I thought that this was cool. Also, on my flight to my destination on Jet Blue, they did a reset of the TVs shortly after we got into the air; so I was familiar with this method to resolve the issue. The reset did not happen. She never came back to my row (15). None of the flight attendants came back to assist with my tv on this 4.5 hour flight from Chicago to SD. The male flight attendant was serving coffee, halfway through the flight, and I asked him if he could get my tv fixed. He said that he would come back (he made it clear that he was too busy) to check it. He never came back. I spent the whole time in the air without in-flight entertainment, as United apparently does not have a mobile app for watching anything either. The male flight attendant was also rude in my interaction with him. He made me feel like an insignificant passenger. He gave the folks seated with me 2 snack servings and was super kind to them when he spoke. My direct flight from LGA to BNA was cancelled for mechanical reasons so I was automatically rerouted to DCA. After my homecoming had already been delayed several hours, I reported to the gate to find we were further delayed. Logistics mandated that the crew for our plane was reassigned to a different flight, and our crew was coming from an incoming flight. While waiting at the gate, the agents kept us updated and handed out snack boxes and waters. They were very kind and apologetic. I know it seems wild that I started out talking about how reliable Delta is while explaining my flight had been cancelled, then delayed. But first, you have to understand that I fly, on average, every 5-8 days. I had done this for three years before I ever had a Delta delay. Since that time, they have been rare--almost always due to weather. They also go out of their way to reschedule, reroute, rebook, anything to get you there as soon as possible in a way that's as convenient as possible for you. And for being rerouted, they deposited 6000 sky miles into my account. They almost always work to make amends to their loyal fliers. Just made diamond this year!
