I planned a trip with Travelocity. I called Frontier customer service to get assistance with my seat choices when I had a glitch. I got help on my first call. Frontier is in terminal A. I was dropped off since I needed to arrive before metro started. If you are dropped off, there isn't much walking to security. I flew with Frontier on the way to Vegas (via Colorado). I signed up for mileage points and was forced to download the app, just to check in. The app was informative. I just don't like having lots of apps on my phone. I had issues with checking in when I thought I needed a TSA pre check traveler number. I called Frontier to get help. I was advised to go to the airport early to get the number. All Frontier had to do was tell me TSA pre check was optional. I was stressed until a TSA agent called me. If you ever need tsa - text them at the number on the web site. If you call the tsa number, you are a hostage to a list of recordings that don't always give the choice you need to resolve your hurdle. If you are using Frontier's app to check in, just press "next" when prompted to provide your tsa precheck number (if you don't have one). The boarding passes were on my phone and I didn't have to be twitterpated anymore. The flight to Denver was awesome. The flight crew was friendly and helpful. When I asked someone if they could help lift my bag into the overhead bin, the employee helped me and also informed me that employees aren't really supposed to help anymore due to injuries from lifting heavy bags. I get it. read more

Purchased nonstop roundtrip tickets from IAD to Tampa for only $199, thinking this is an incredibly competitive price. After a few weeks later Frontier cancels that flight and offers an alternative ticket with a stop over in Atlanta and total flight time of over 9 hours, which was impractical so I had to cancel the whole trip. read more

Garbage carrier. 5 hour delay. You get what you pay for. Shame on anyone who would work for and or support this company. Never again

Deceptive pricing model. I paid for my flight first. Only afterward did they reveal that it would cost another $70 each way just to bring a carry-on. They lure you in with a low fare, then the bag ends up costing more than the seat. Why does it cost more to bring a bag than to bring a person? They're also completely non-transparent about delays. I arrived early after confirming there were no delays--rep on the phone even said they'd notify customers a day in advance if anything changed. All signs said "on time" until boarding, when they suddenly announced a four-hour delay. Once we finally boarded, they announced another hour delay, with everyone already trapped on the plane. Treat your customers with honesty and respect, and maybe they'll come back. I won't. read more

Absolutely disgusted with my experience on Frontier Airlines. The fees are outrageous and not clearly explained upfront. On my round-trip flight, my bags were approved at no cost on the way out, but I was suddenly charged on the return for the exact same bags. Completely inconsistent and unfair. I will not be flying Frontier again. read more

First time Frontier flyer! Aka apply fees please airline!! The only reason I chose this airline was because it was the only one offering nonstop flights with decent departure times to/from my destination. Yikes this airline nickel and dime you for everything!! If you do find a "cheap" flight think again. By the time you pay for personal item, carry on and check in bag, you could have paid for a first class ticket abroad. Plan your trip wisely. This terminal (1) in DCA made me feel like I teleported into a third world country. Again, it was my first time traveling from this terminal and it was quite overwhelming. People everywhere, self-service checkout for goods on the left and right and all gates in one location. It was unexpected but easily adaptable. The plane (big one) had no chargers, seats solid as a rock, metal tray table barely fits a phone. They are serious about the bags and fees, head count when in place, strict about switching seats , seats are solid as a rock but plenty of room to stretch your legs (for the 5' ppl like myself). Return flight (DEN to DCA) was one of the best flights I've been on in a while... just saying. Overall, I had no problems with Frontier but I can't see me ever using this airline again unless, like in this situation, there is a roundtrip, nonstop flight to my chosen destination. read more

So the restroom is clean the seats were somewhat uncomfortable, but after three hours on the plane, my butt started to hurt they had they could've had more comfortable seats, especially with three hour tour. They were like the seats in a fast food restaurant. You can only sit there for 20 minutes And then your body gets sore. They do it on purpose so after you eat, you will leave the restaurant he would think that all the money you spent on the best flights you would get free food if they were smart They would be competitive with the other airlines and offer free food to domesticated destinations they would make a killing because the others charge money. Well I looked at the prices and for Ramen it was four dollars really that has rip off prices because Ramen is under a dollar so they are making a killing, but no one would pay for that so I'm sure that the food trays at the end of the trip were pretty full because everyone turned down the price of food other than that the stores were pretty nice and my boy received four cards from the airlines. Would I recommend this airlines? Yes I would than food other than the food. Yes, I would recommend this airlines. read more

Theeee worst airlines ever While waiting for my sister to arrive, I decided to to see for myself, if what i saw on IG and TT was true. First I was gonna pay for my airfare for an upcoming trip to Denver. Rather than to do it online and take a risk. My fare was gonna be $159 round trip. I witness The ticketing agents are rude to passengers. So there's an incentive so they get $10 for every time they charge a customer for an oversized personal item. So many stories , of people getting charged when it fits. The one agent that helped me, decided to check her phone and made me wait. After ratchella and her crew showed themselves, I said there's no way. A customer was delayed and missed there connecting flight. They didn't apologize or try to help this old lady. The flights are dirt cheap like $79 one way. However, if you're not a member of their silly club, you gotta pay for seats, pay if cough or sneeze....no im.joking but hefty for carry on and check bags. No way... I'll stick with Southwest, at least during the holiday fiasco.. they made things right, and looked out for customers. It's sad what Frontier is doing. Avoid this airlines. Cheap air fares yet, flights never take off or arrive on time. Avoid. read more

Horrible is all I can say!!!! NEVER EVER FLY FRONTIER!!!!!!! Rude......even IF your small bag fits under the seat in front of you they will make you pay $99 to check it to go under the plane. I fly a lot and have never never never had to do this!! IF YOU want a miserable experience go Frontier. If you want an enjoyable experience go with literally any other airline!!!!!! I will never use Frontier again! read more

I wish I can give negative stars because I so despise these airlines. The baggage drop off was way too slow, the staff at the airport are rude. On top of everything, they lost my bags and the only way to reach them is through mail and haven't heard from them. Would never take these airlines again and wouldn't recommend them. read more

Frontier airlines is a joke, eat the Rich. Originally my flight was supposed to takeoff on the 19th and only have two stops from the East Coast to the West Coast and a seven hour layover in between. Now it's taking off on the 20th and I have seven layovers... Again eat the rich. Their online presents is a joke and they can't be bothered to have a legitimate customer service line. It's just a convoluted mass of excrement. And having read all the lovely reviews I'd rather get on a Boeing jet with poor maintenance the deal with these clowns at frontier airlines. if I could give negative points, I would. read more

Absolutely low budget traveling. Maybe not the lowest from what I've heard but definitely LOW. Seats are not really comfortable, so don't waste money on the so called "stretch" upgrade. Yes you'll get a little bit more leg room compared to seats on this aircraft but stretching legs and not reclining at all is rather pointless. If you want to stretch your legs just stand up periodically throughout the flight. I sat at the front of the plane [row (2) ] and I sat at the emergency exit of the plane [row (13)]. I was told that row (13) {emergency exit seats} did not recline after buying the tickets solely for that reason. Then on my return flight from Las Vegas (Harry Reid airport is absolutely trifling btw) I sat in the very front of the plane hoping to catch some Zzzz's on my red eye flight back home....absolutely not. No reclining whatsoever. 4-5 hours is way too long to travel on this garbage. An hour or two, you may be able to survive but more than that you are asking for it. The flight going and coming was completely full. They are packing us in like sardines and we can't even get free water smh. No wifi and no in cabin entertainment whatsoever. I would have paid to play. This is something that to me is a no Brainer. Most other airlines offer it for FREE with other upgrades for a nominal fee. This airline should be ashamed of themselves. Their ticket prices should reflect the quality of what they are offering. I feel robbed. I feel misled and I definitely feel dissatisfied. This is no frills and no perks at its finest. I'm still recovering from my trip back on this flight. I'll see a masseuse sometime this week. Thanks for nothing Frontier!! You suck!! read more

I will never fly Frontier again. My first flight was delayed by 30 minutes. My connecting flight left without me and for some reason departed 10 minutes early. They lost my luggage in the process of all this. I was forced to purchase a separate flight with another airline to make a business meeting the next morning. I spent $160 on Ubers commuting from BWI to DCA, and the hotel to DCA to get my luggage. I didn't receive my luggage until the following day, when they put it on a random flight landing in DCA. Frontier only gave me a partial refund and a $100 voucher. I have to dispute the rest with my bank. Why would I use a voucher with this airline after they screwed up this bad? read more

My opinion of this airline is a sad one. Yesterday I attempted to take a flight at last minute on a different airline. I found a really good fair on Frontier and decided to book it. I was excited waiting all day to get to BWI airport only to be turned back around because the flight canceled that last minute after it had Delayed twice This is one opportunity to try frontier and they screwed it up. They wouldn't even cover the charges back home since I lived in DC, which is 45 minutes away. There's no way I'm wasting my time on airline does not accommodate their customers. Going back to Southwest where I belong. Thx but no thanks. read more

This is the worst airline ever. I'd fly spirit before I fly with them, and that's saying something. Every single time (3 times) I've decided to fly frontier, the flight was either delayed or canceled. EVERY TIME. How do you charge so much for certain things ($70 checked or carry on) but then follow up with being the most unreliable airline to ever fly. It's absolutely outrageous and infuriating. I hope someone shuts you down or buys you out because the world would be a better place without Frontier Airlines. If I could give them 0 starts I would. read more

I have friends that fly low-fare airlines booking via Expedia. Sometimes they use one airline outbound and another inbound. I am, and have been, a SouthWest patron ( you know, "bags fly free"). This time I threw the dice and opted to use a low-cost airline. As luck ( or no luck) would have it I chose Frontier. I have been flying for over 60 years having used companies that have long disappeared from the skies ( Allegheny, Peoples Express, Braniff, etc. On the whole, it was a good service at a reasonable cost. This was long before fees were attached to checked or carry-on baggage. Today almost all airlines have instituted fees for baggage whether carry-on or checked. Baggage weight limits among all airlines have now become standard; usually 50 lbs or less. Frontier goes them one better. They have set the bar at 40lbs. If the scale says 41 lbs the fee increases by $125.00 on top of the already exsanguinating $104.00 fee for a 40lb or less checked bag. I checked a less than 40lb bag for $104.00 outbound and inbound. Yep, 208.00 ducats for my only, under 40lb, checked bag. The old Latin phrase "caveat emptor" is one I know but did not exercise when I purchased my Frontier tickets. I opted NOT to add seat choice, boarding level, food, or drink ( the latter, I am sure would not fit on the Lilliputian pull-down trays Frontier uses 2.5" x 9", give or take).'Thought I had saved a few dollars but not so fast, my friend, any money I thought I saved was swallowed "in toto" by the baggage fee alone. The outbound ticket representative at check-in wore a lovely uniform made from the finest "attitude" which she wore very well challenged by the same uniform worn by the representative on the return flight. Must have been a sale on cloth at Goodwill. Despite having entered my TTN code during my ticket purchase it was nowhere to be found on my outbound boarding pass "We can't do that here but call TSA Precheck I think they can do it". Must have been early bedtime for customer service else she would have made some, at least symbolic, attempt to see if anything could be done. At check-in on the return flight things went a little better as there were now, not one but two, Frontier representatives who were pretty unhappy with their chosen profession giving me their very best, well-honed "attitude" replete with the well-rehearsed "eye roll" indicating that they didn't get that great backroom job at GoodWill where you could make a future checking inventory and not have to smile at any time or any traveler. The plane that was to leave at 5:42 PM was delayed twice and finally left at 9:42 PM. The explanation I heard from one representative for the first delay was, "Something must have gone bad in Miami". The second delay of about 2.5 hours was numbing and somewhat frightening to me because I was afraid that if I asked "why the second delay" she might have said something like," I think the right side engine dropped off while taxiing but they found it and taped it back on." I kid you not. Frontier shares several gates with several airlines like American and Alaska so you have to watch very carefully which gate will be yours. I started off at gate T17, which changed to gate T15 then changed again to T16! That gate, however, was being used by JetBlue. Somehow it all worked out for the best even though two Frontier check-in booths and one JetBlue booth were crammed into the same tiny space. I asked if I could get Frontier frequent flyer miles because I had to move from gate to gate to gate. The Frontier personnel were not amused but still kept their "attitude". Oh yes, I almost forgot, I had no seat assigned to me on the return flight though they did issue me a "seat-less" boarding pass. I was not going to be able to get a seat assigned until the plane from Miami landed in Atlanta. Explanation? "Can't assign you a seat until we know how many people will be getting off and how many will be getting on". Oookay. My last comment involves something I have never, ever heard anyone from any airline say in response to a question I posed to one of the flight attendants; "I am in a middle seat, when the door is locked may I move from my "thumb screw" seat to an aisle seat"? The reply was, "I can't let you move until we get the decision from the cockpit that the plane is balanced". My son is a captain flying for FedEx so I understand the balance issue with cargo but I have not yet heard it applied as a reason to delay a single seat change. Well, guess what? After the door was closed a flight attendant at the front of the plane said as clear as day, "Will some of you passengers sitting in the back please move upfront so that we can get the plane properly balanced"? You cannot make this stuff up! For all of the reasons true experiences cited above I cannot and will not EVER fly Frontier Airlines again. C.A.Leftridge,Jr read more

Nothing to really say about this airline that's positive. The fact that I had to carry my things in laptop bag says it all. So they advertise cheap flights and then I purchased my flight about two months in advance only to have them cancel it 5hrs before I was supposed to leave. They hounded me for a month to upgrade and pay for bags etc... So now they cancel it last minute and I have to pay another airline triple cause it's same day ticket. They offered no compensation only that I could get a refund in two weeks!! "Oh gee thanks for giving me my money back!" The staff at the check in for Frontier refused to print my baggage tags after trying on the kiosk multiple times it didn't work last night I thought I paid for bags but it never completed it leaving me to pay over a 100.00 for a small bag and one that weighed 35 lbs . This was my second time li always give companies a second chance. I would rather drive across country then dealing with the extra everything. Now my flights delayed one hour . Frontier Airlines - Airlines Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

A fleet of nice, clean planes and humble little airbuses. Took 4 Frontier flights (DCA to Denver to Phoenix and back). Found the experience inexpensive & unproblematic. Flight attendants frequently check on passengers' safety, comfort, and needs. Flights arrive and depart on time. I extended my vacation stay twice, and missed my final flight, which meant I had to change my reserved flights thrice. The cost of the 2 online and 1 in-airport flight changes in total was $20! No fuss, no muss! In-person, airport-based customer service rocks! By phone, (at times) not so much with the exception of marvelously efficacious and personable customer service phone rep. Frontier Jane (ID 3357205). She's is the EPITOME of superior customer support & service! Not all are like her, though. Nonetheless, the affordable cost of Frontier plane tickets and the smoothness of flight indeed make up for that! read more

This was literally the worst Airline that I have EVER flown (I've been flying for over 20 + yrs). I will list all the reasons below. I wish there was a rating less than 1 . I flew then to save money n& literally had to pay for everything from a seat, to a carry on bag. Traveling is enough of a hassle I don't need the airline creating more headaches. The gate agents had an attitude from the time they came to the counter. Other Issues include: 1. Hard seats 2. Excessive fees 3. Delayed Flights 4. Poor Customer Service at the counter Save yourself some headache's & don't fly Frontier! read more

worst airline i've ever flown with and the staff are rude. definitely recommend you avoid

The people working for Frontier at DCA are the rudest people in planet earth. I was charged for my small laptop bag that was easily fitted on their goddamn box. I had put my jacket inside the bag so that it looked a bit fat so I removed the jacket and wore it. Still, the rudest lady charged me. I am a frequent flyer, but now on, I will pay extra few bucks to fly with other airlines. I tried to change the flight at the transit, but they did not let me do it saying that I should take only the flight I was assigned to fly. I had a 10 hour transit at the airport. Avoid taking this airlines. It has a pathetic service inside and outside. read more

Frontier is the worst. Just tries to call customer service several times, but they keep hanging up. I had a return flight. Your Frontier Airlines reservation of flight number #1168 with confirmation code N6DHXB from MCO - Orlando, FL to PHL-Philadelphia, PA has been delayed due to operational reasons. I checked in at 11:38 AM, leaving at 12:49 PM but when went to check my bag, they said I missed my flight. It's true about the old saying you get what you pay for but I went through Travelocity. I went down on AA and wanted to come back on AA. Don't use it. I paid for upgrade seat and added bag which they took out my account at 11:38 AM but wouldn't let me board. read more

I was very nervous about flying Frontier based on all the bad reviews. Let's discuss the pros and cons. 1) the two tickets from BWI to Orlando were cheap. However, they make up the money in carry on bag and seat selection fees. With all the extra fees, you aren't really saving any money unless you are traveling extremely light and you don't care where you sit. 2) the flight to Orlando was on time and uneventful. However, the flight coming home was delayed about 3 hours 3) Frontier provided updates via email regarding the flight delay. They even offered a $25 voucher. However, you have to use it within 90 days on another Frontier flight. 4) they only fly every other day. Overall, frontier has issues just like any other airline read more

Frontier lost my bag and my car seat for my kids that I'm traveling with. The lady at the counter takes an hour to figure out my bag are lost, locate a key to a room that has car seats they supposedly will rent me, and finally brings car seats that are expired. The lady says that's the only help they can give me, an expired car seat. I asked for the supervisor, and the lady "helping me" says her supervisor can't do anything and walks away. Useless and not even sorry that they left me up a creek without a paddle. I had heard of them losing bags before, and thought it wouldn't happen to me. I'll never fly Frontier with kids again. read more

The worst possible customer service. This is what it must have been like if you were issued the wrong size overalls in the Soviet Union under Stalin. I'm not even sure that the agents are humans. Once you get on the plane the experience is fine. But heaven forbid you ever need to contact customer service for anything. They have no phone support, and the app is no help with cancelling or rescheduling. They have a chat connection on which it today took me almost two hours to cancel a flight and arrange a refund. It's almost not worth bothering to try to retrieve your money versus the excruciating pain of dealing with a chat app that works at a snail's pace So if you don't ever have to use customer service the experience is fine. Just know that their published fares will be upped by 50% in taxes and fees, and that doesn't count the "extras" like seat selection, carryons or checked bags. read more

This airline should be called Rip Off Airline. The advertised price is low, but you will end up paying more, because if you have a suitcase, you will have to pay $104 per each, either you check it in or bring it in the plane with you. Not only that, nothing is provided when you are in the plane, including water. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FRONTIER WHEN YOU TRAVEL. read more

Cheap flights! but there is a charge for checked bags and carry one and an extra charge if you want to talk to a human at the airport instead of using the kiosk!! lol This airline is a joke! they will fly you a thousand miles in the opposite direction or even thousands of miles past your destination if they don't have a closer or direct connection to your final destination. They will turn a 5hr flight into a 16hr nightmare of waiting in airports! Returning home from a trip and realized I was actually closer to home BEFORE I left!! I could've driven home in less time!!! We ended up having to pay an extra $1000 to book with a different airline, the rental car place closes at 9 and we won't be there until 11:45, so we will have to pay for a cab to the hotel and then get a cab back to the airport in the morning to get the car. I've been flying for decades, and usually use the larger, namebrand airlines, however, this time I chose a flight with Frontier to Las Vegas. Don't be fooled, the low airfare is attractive however, the baggage fees, inflight snack, etc. add up to far exceed major airlines cost. Their in-flight staff are very friendly and professional. Frontier Airlines - Worst Frontier employee EVER. - Airlines Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

We had a customer representative at the gate named Lauren (sp? - as she refused to provide her name), who charged us a $99 dollar bag fee because the felt handles on my wife's carry on bag "poked out" from the top of the personal items size box. This was Christmas Eve (super pleasant) flight F9 537 from DCA to DEN at 6:00pm. I had a carry on already counted for myself and she had a personal item, yet it was very apparent that they were looking for reasons to charge more for the flight and in the LEAST personable ways. Just horrifically rude and condescending in the most appalling fashion. I'm astonished any service with customer services representatives like this as their face are able to stay afloat. read more

The plane smells strongly of sweat and is small spaced. I've flown them on the same routes and had consistently good experiences. read more
