I opened up DoorDash, ready to comb thru the horrible fast food options & pick the least offensive. When I saw Naz's as a late-night option, I was so siked. So I went for it. My first experience with Naz's was at midnight in my own home. When it arrived & I opened up the bag to see my platter, I literally gasped. GASPED! I couldn't believe something so delicious looking appeared on my doorstep at such a late hour. It also tasted just as good as it looked. So now I'm hooked. Sometimes I order delivery & sometimes I go in person. They're so friendly, fast, & omg affordable. In the bleak year of 2025, I can barely believe how they keep the prices low with such high quality food. I'm a big fan!

We started with the lamb kavap and shared the ginormous chicken stew, and finished off with the honey cake. Every this was so flavorful. The lamb is served on skewers with 23 different spices. Definitely tasted cumin, paprika, peppercorns, garlic, and so many other spices! The chicken stew was so delicious. Be warned that it's big and spicy! Definitely a kick of peppercorns. I believe it's a full smashed whole chicken so each bite has bits of bones. But the chicken is stewed in a rich, spicy broth. The stew has hand made noodles, potatoes, and peppers. We finished off with honey cake which helped cooled down the spices we just ate. Lovely slice of cake with a scoop of coffee ice cream. This place gets busy but they have a digital waitlist. We checked in with the host on the first floor, but she escorted us to the second floor to be seated. I always liked that this restaurant seems to be a small house converted into a restaurant since it literally makes me feel at [someone's] home. We were given QR codes to scan for the menu; not my favorite. I overheard another table ask for paper menus, so it appears there is that option. For a starter, we ordered handmade lamb dumplings and for entrees, original meefen and lamb on dry land with a side of white rice. It all ended up coming out around the same time and the tables are a little small so it felt like an overwhelming amount of food, but it was actually the perfect amount for two people. The lamb dumplings were flavorful, albeit, the wrappers were a tad too soft. The original meefen was very tasty, especially the minced meat. However, the uden noodles don't do a great job of absorbing sauces, so it felt like a lot of the oils and flavor were left behind. The lamb on dry land was good, but it was difficult to eat especially two people. We didn't realize it would be meat on a stick, similar to a turkey leg but less meaty. We ended up eating the easy parts, but took the bone home to finish out of the public eye. The crispy potatoes on top were my friend's favorite. The total was about $50 which was fair. Our waiter and other staff members did an excellent job of getting us all we needed and clearing plates as we finished. Their official website is one of the coolest I have seen since it includes audio and images, but I wish it had a description of what each item is, just like their in restaurant menu QR code.

I got the chicken plate and gyro plate, which came with 3 sauces. The guy at the counter put the plates together right in front of the glass counter, so i could see everything going in. He asked me with each item if I wanted it -- lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, pepperoncini, olives, etc. I asked about the parsley greens and he mentioned they have gluten in them, so he clearly knew his ingredients and was steering me well. But it also caught me off guard -- most restaurants have no idea about gluten and I'm used to having to check everything myself, so there was a mismatch between his obvious knowledge and how rushed I felt trying to keep up and make decisions. Kind of annoyed me, even though I appreciated that he knew what he was talking about. Otherwise people were nice. We took food to go so didn't experience the ambiance but it seemed nice inside.

It is the kind of place where you can meet friends, share a pot of tea, break bread & let the world slow down for a while. We started with a pot of black tea with fresh mint because, as they say, Syrians are ALL about TEA! It was perfectly balanced, not too strong, wonderfully refreshing, with just the right hint of fresh mint. A lovely way to ease into our meal. I ordered the hummus, an authentic Syrian version from the Akhtarini home. Silky pureed chickpeas blended with tahini, garlic, lemon & olive oil, served with warm Syrian bread. Simple, traditional & absolutely delicious. I also had the pepper & lamb fatayer, a popular Syrian street food, often eaten on the go, wrapped in paper. The softly baked bread was tender & flavorful, with small pieces of pepper & lamb seasoned with spices & olive oil. I loved the little "boat" shape & the spicy lamb spice topping. Hubby ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. A classic done right: flavorful marinated chicken, banana peppers, pickles & garlicky sauce wrapped in bread & grilled under a flatiron. He was very happy with his choice! What I loved the whole experience of Aleppo Sweets! Respectfully sharing an unpleasant experience from our recent visit…read more We've been loyal patrons of this restaurant for a long time, usually visiting every other Sunday with a group of 9-10 friends to enjoy good food and time together. The ambiance and general quality of the food have always been excellent, and we've genuinely appreciated that. However, during our most recent visit, we had a rather disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share--constructively and respectfully--so it can hopefully be improved going forward. We ordered a spicy fish dish that unfortunately was not up to the restaurant's usual standards. It appeared to be a frozen tilapia, not fully cooked, with a strong raw fish smell that made it quite unappetizing. I returned it and politely explained I wasn't satisfied with the quality. I even mentioned I didn't mind paying for the meal if it met basic expectations--but I was met with a dismissive smirk rather than any understanding or acknowledgment. Later, when we went to pay, we were surprised to see an unexpected charge for tea! This was especially disappointing since tea had always been served complimentary during our previous visits. There was no signage or prior communication indicating a change in this policy. When I politely asked for clarification, the lady at the counter responded very rudely and was not willing to listen. Wanting to resolve the matter calmly, I spoke with a gentleman who appeared to be closely affiliated with the owner--possibly his son. He respectfully listened to my concerns and communicated them to the owner, who ultimately agreed to deduct the charges for the fish and the tea. While I appreciate that decision, the attitude of the front staff, especially the lady at the counter, remained rude and unprofessional! There was no apology--only resistance and continued arguing. As returning customers, we didn't expect perfection--but we did expect respect and consistency. I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit of improvement, because we've enjoyed this place many times in the past and would like to continue doing so in the future. Good service is just as important as good food--and I truly hope future guests are treated with a bit more courtesy and care!! !!!A long-time customer!!!!!!!
