My wife and I stopped by while walking down Old Montreal because we were craving pizza. We went into the side entrance and were sat down immediately. We ordered the fried calamari and pepperoni pizza to split. I also got a beer and she got a soda. The food was great! The calamari was crispy and the pizza tasted fresh. Highly recommend Al Pizzetta! It's a nice little hidden gem and I'm sure they've got other good Italian food too! read more

Down a side street from the main tourist trap shopping street. I did not expect much but my wife said it was calling here. Boy was she right. Nice service, great ambience, and extraordinary pizza. The beer selection sucks. But still gets 5 stars because the pizza was that good. read more

Great cozy local place to grab a bite. The staff couldn't be nicer. The pizza here is very underrated. Give it a go!

Came across this place Walking towards old Port. We were starving and this place had a decent menu and a cute outdoor seating area. My friend and I decided on two poutines and two cokes. I got the smoked meat poutine which was good. We were starving so everything tasted good at the time. There wasn't that much smoked meat which was disappointing but there was plenty of gravy, fries and cheese curds. My friend liked her chicken poutine as well. Both had a different taste but it was pretty good. The thing we didn't like is all the bees that kept buzzing around us while we are and the service was a little slow. Overall thought not too bad for our first meal in Montreal :) read more

The restaurant was very busy due to the solar eclipse. Service was friendly although they were dealing with a full house and a line of waiting customers. We had pasta, pepperoni pizza, and the smoked meat poutine. Everything was good (in particular the pizza) and prices were very reasonable. Nice location near the water. read more

I ordered takeout from this restaurant so I can't speak too much on the dine-in experience. However everyone that I spoke to greeted me with a smile and was very kind. I was offered ice water while I waited for my order which was much appreciated since it was warm outside. I ordered the calamari and it was delicious!!! At first I was a little hesitant being that I'm from New England and sometimes when I order calamari outside of New England, I'm disappointed. But their calamari was one of the best I've tried yet! It was too heavily breaded, just right. And the sauce that came with it was so tasty! Highly recommend read more

good food, good service, super cozy...everyone should pitstop it in the port pretty affordable too

Horrible food -- pizza, pasta, everything. Our food was ready in few minutes, I wonder if they just heat up old pizzas. Stale crust, bad taste -- there was a chili pepper oil bottle on the table; I opened it out of curiosity and gosh, it smelled like -rotten- fish oil (not just fish oil); must have been sitting there for years. They're attracting based on price maybe, we didn't check the prices before going in, but bottom line, very bad food. Stay away. read more

We were walking by the Old Port and looking for a place to grab a quick bite. We noticed this place on the corner (great location) and decided to go in. The place was surprisingly empty on a busy day at the Port. We were seating right away. Our server was very friendly. The menu had a variety of items including pasta dishes and pizza. They also have a pizza combo with beer which is a great deal. We ordered the pizza and chicken nuggets and fries. We also had some drinks (canned sodas) and a draft Stella Beer, which was fresh and not flat. The food came out in about 15 minutes. The pizza was okay, as were the nuggets and fries. Prices were fair and reasonable for the area. read more

We stopped in here for a quick "snack"/early dinner. It's right across the street from the river and they had some outdoor seating but it was a bit cold so we sat inside. I got a glass of wine and my husband got a bloody caesar that was a little sweet. The pizza was great! We shared the Quebec pizza (I think that's what it was called) and it had all kinds of stuff on it including TONS of bacon. I really liked it. The crust was thinner and crispy on the bottom. It was 4 pieces total and they split it for us before bringing it to the table which was nice. I think it was around $15. If we were going there for a forreal dinner we would probably have gotten our own pizzas. It's a bit cheaper than a lot of restaurants we passed in Old Montreal. Service was nice and the ambiance was casual but also nice. Would go again! read more

We came here after our bike tour since we got a free drink voucher. Food and service was very good so we came back a few days later. They remembered us which was sweet. Solid family owned restaurant! read more

Great spot for a delicious pizza. Service was fantastic and my kids were welcomed with crayons and paper tablecloths. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. First, Apple Maps has it listed as being closed on Sundays, and it is open! it is closed the months of January and February. Thankfully the door was propped open and we went in and checked. The food was great, the sangria was great, and the staff was very accommodating to our toddler. (Crayons, high chair, half-portions, and generally very sweet to her.) We had the bolognese and garlic bread. Very tasty. We made it a point to return there before our trip was over. Highly recommend! read more

Didn't try the food but everything I saw looked good. If you are looking for somewhere away from the crowd this is the place. Stopped in for a few drinks and to watch sports. The staff here is incredible and makes you feel right at home. Very personable people. Would highly recommend. read more

Yummny. u want a nice experience .. I loved it. Was a random stop in a place I had zero knowledge of.. sometimes those are the best finds.. we had the Montreal pizza.. home made cecser and house salads. Chicken fatchinni and lasgna.. authentic. Salads were so good!!! And my son had a hamburger he ate it so fast. They were so friendly!! We had left overs from large portions. Go and visit read more

Went there and we had their pizza ,pasta Alfredo and daquiris. Pizza was undercooked, had very little sauce or toppings. And just wasn't good. Their Alfredo sauce tasted like it was opened out of a grocery store can! Their drinks were mostly syrup, and I cannot be for sure how much or little alcohol was in there. Our waiter only showed up twice, to take our orders and collect payment. We were unimpressed with their food and service and after letting them know we tipped accordingly. The waiter then had then gall to give us problems over how much we tipped. read more

The service was so bad that it became comical. The food itself was good, but the wait staff could not get it together. We waited for a good 20 minutes for water, and an additional 10-15 for our check. They have a nice terrance and great location, but if you are visiting i believe there are better restaurants to visit in the area. I give it 3 stars because the restaurant has so much potential and interior is nice! read more

We found this lovely little place quite by accident when we went to the Science Museum. We were looking for a family friendly place that was in close proximity and this met our needs. The staff was extremely fruendly. The menu was pretty basic but authentic. It was a small place but pretty quiet for lunch. It reminded me of a,little Italian restaurant I would go to with my family in my old neighborhood in the Bronx especially with the red checkered table cloths and Italian decor. It had that family neighborhood vibe, which was really nice. You can tell that they really care about this place, the food and their customers. It was a little weird to see poutine on the menu, but it was everywhere we went in Montreal! My daughter had it and loved it. There are so many restaurant options in Old Montreal, but this is a good one to try. read more

The servers were nice. The pizza was good. But the carbonara was extremely bland and may have upset hubby's tummy.

Where do I start!?? We found this place by accident. Food... excellent! We ordered the smoked meat poutine (first time trying this and it was amazeBalls!), smoked meat pizza, québécois pizza, and four cheese lasagna (I gained 20 lbs by just looking at it #fatKidproblems)... ALL of it was delicious. Each entree portion size was enough to feed 2 people. Staff... extremely friendly and attentive. The owner (I think he was the owner... if he wasn't, he should be!! Give that man a raise!) interacted with us and was exceptionally kind. Ambiance... casual and comfy Location... located in Old Montreal. We went after a long day of walking the city and visiting the museums. It is a great place for lunch or dinner after cite seeing. Also located near unique stores, shops, and bars. Great spot. Price... a little pricey. Definitely not a #brokecollegestudentswag type of place but worth it. The ONLY reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it did not have a baby changing table in the bathroom so I had to change my 1 yr old son on a table in a chilly stairwell. I think this is an easy fix for their management. They just need to invest in a wall mounted baby changing table... it can't be that expensive. In summary, my family loved this restaurant and we would definitely go there again. read more

Got lunch here with some friends and family on our vacation and it was hands down the worst food I have ever had in my entire life. Everything on the menu is incredibly over priced - I can make better pasta at home and even frozen pizzas are better than what they have to offer and you can get better poutine at McDonald's. The pasta had ZERO seasoning, not even salt. It was the blandest thing ever. Plus, the portions are tiny and no one was even remotely full. I'm a college student so I'm never picky about food but this was too horrible, even for me. It felt like a complete waste of money. Not to mention, the service was horrible as well. The female server acted like she was looking down on me and my family and was incredibly rude the entire time. I didn't want to leave a tip at the end but she literally stood right behind me, her leg touching my shoulder and she glared down at me, trying to intimidate me so I felt pressured to leave something. After I paid, she literally said nothing and just walked away. I've never left a yelp review before but this time I thought it was necessary. Hopefully, someone else can learn from my mistakes. Eat literally ANYWHERE else. Our vacation was going so well but all of my friends and family left the restaurant feeling horrible. read more

We arived at peak lunch period to find their was literly nobody in the restrauant. It looked okay and the servers were freindly so we decided to order. Food came shocking fast and we had high expectations because of the price tag on the menu. When the food came display was good but the taste was just terrible ive never had pasta this bad alfredo came straight from a can and the tomato sauce was one of the worst ive tasted ever. Two beers two pastas 65$. Left very unsatisfied Overall avoid this place unless you are useing it as a bar read more

Service was awful. From the start even the host was rude in his demeanor. The older waiter was extremely rude and gruff. The other waitstaff could not get it together. I watched them bring our food to the wrong table and then they slammed the plates down in front of us without asking if we needed anything else. No one ever checked on us to see if we needed anything. The food was great if you like cold, reheated food. The pizza was basically a frozen pizza with some toppings added to it. The poutine was served cold and the fries undercooked. Not pleasant or worth the money at all. read more

We were looking for an early dinner while walking in Old Montreal. Rain was expected in the next couple hours so a lot of the restaurants/cafes were closing for the evening. Luckily this place has a good size indoor seating area and was staying open. What a nice surprise this place was. It has a large selection of Italian favorites and also some non-Italian items. My husband was craving a steak and he was not disappointed. He ordered the steak, fries and salad and enjoyed it very much. I had the bolognese sauce with penne pasta, it was really flavorful but unfortunately didn't come with a salad. My husband also had a beer. The prices were very reasonable, $43 U.S. dollars that's including the tip. I gave 4 stars because the server wasn't too friendly, but she was attentive and I think the pasta should include a small dinner salad. All in all it was really good and I would definitely go again. read more

Spouse and I had the calamari appetizer and a margarita pizza. I thought the calamari was the worst food I ever ate, until the pizza came out. The beer selection was sub par. The service was actually very good. There are too many places along this street to eat bad food. read more

The definition of mediocre. For a restaurant in the tourist area of Montreal the quality of food and service was deplorable. The old man who must of been the owner provided terrible service, mutted when he spoke so you couldn't hear him. The "Caesar Salad" consists of lettuce, a couple croutons and Caesar dressing. Certainly not worth $12 for the large! The vegetarian pasta was flooded with oil. You'd also find a better pizza in the frozen section of your supermarket. Do not eat here!! read more

Outstanding service! I feel like home with our server. We are tourists from Orlando and we made friends with one of the servers on our first visit. We highly recommend this place because it has great service, feels like family and is affordable. I recommend Maeyvis and Nicolas as your servers. We had 1 pepperoni and one vegetable pizza and it was amazing. We loved it so much, we came back a second time for after dinner drinks. To our surprise, they remembered us!!! And as returning customers, they treated us to a shot of the Frangelico liquor. This restaurant is amazing. read more

We went there because the guys were feeling Italian. The waiter was very rude with an attitude. If we asked him for anything he acted like we were causing a problem. The food was actually very bad. We ordered the fettuccine, a steak, and a pizza. The pizza dough was definitely frozen not fresh and the flavor was non existent. The steak want bad but was too pink when asked for medium well. The Alfredo was abominable and was very stale overall I'd rather eat McDonald's. read more
