The best all you can eat sushi that I've been to! I loved all the sashimi cuts and they had many specialty rolls as well. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Came here today to celebrate mothers day. I got a reservation 2 days ago. Once you arrive, they give your a table right away depending on the time you reserve. They ask that you bring the full party. The mood here is calm and not as noisy as other resturants. This spot has 2 dinning areas. You pick from an ipad. Since today counts as a holiday, it was around 43$ pp paying cash totaling 57$ pp after tax and tip. I come to Akino everytime I come to elmhurst. The food here is the same quality and has not downgraded. The service here is pretty quick. When your time is almost up, they ask if you finish ordering. I love ordering their sashimi. I advice you to get as much as you can eat on the first round. Overall another good experience. And I will come back again.

Amazing AYCE sushi! This sushi spot in Elmhurst is one of the best known AYCE sushi in New York--and they have a second location in Flushing. Service here is great and if you pay in cash, there is a slight discount. I came during their lunch deal and it was ~$30pp for AYCE sushi. You get an iPad to order and you can order as much as you want, and they bring out your food fairly quick. We got a variety of their nigiri, a couple of their rolls, and tried a bunch of their appetizers. I wasn't the biggest fan of their takoyaki or their sushi pizza as I felt that it was mostly just flour and rice--with barely any sauce. On the other hand, their unagi fried rice was flavorful, their nigiri and rolls had an amazing fish:rice ratio, and their fried scallops were delicious. Overall, unbeatable deal and solid quality sushi. Would definitely come back!

Amazing AYCE sushi. This sushi spot in Elmhurst is best known AYCE sushi in Queens and I've been there a few times already. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The fish is fresh and everything else is delicious. TIP: If you pay in cash, there is a discount. Btw, if you go on a weekday, it's cheaper.

Went back to Akino in less then a month. It was Valentine's Day so it was very crowded and wasn't taken reservations. Waited about 1/2 hour for a table but was worth the wait. Service was very quick and though it was busy the food came out fast. Standouts of the night were the lobster roll. Even tried the hand rolls for the first time which was a hit. Quality was good and overall went home with a full belly.

Been here twice and generally really enjoyed it. It has been packed in both occasions. The sushi is solid and I would say the portions are good for the price. Customer service has been friendly but gets bogged down by the number of customers. If I am in the area I would definitely go back again.

Such fresh fish and generous fish to rice ratio, delicious! We came in at 3pm on a weekend and there were still plenty of parties eating, but no wait and got seated right away. I like that you can order off of the iPad and there are images clearly showing how many pieces were in an order. Their AYCE weekend price is their dinner price which is $45.99/per person but they offer a cash discount. Definitely pace yourself and come hungry - there are a lot of options on the menu but would recommend the sashimi (specifically salmon) and the rolls (less rice, more fish).

My second time here and both times the food is delicious. The lunch price does not include sashimi but didn't matter because the rice to fish ratio was very good meaning very little bit of rice in each roll or piece. Lunch is 29.99pp Monday to Thursday. Get a slight discount if paying cash. Service was very good as well. Place is not very big inside.

One of my nephews' all time fave Ayce sushi places. They love coming here for the lunch special Monday to Thursday for $28.99. Lucky Auntie gets to enjoy too! There's a lot of choices of apps, salads, hot items, nigiri and sushi rolls. We ordered eel, tobiko salmon, tuna, and red snapper nigiri, two rolls-spider roll with soft shell crab and red dragons roll. Make sure to order some apps and hot food with your initial order cause due to the amount of nigiri, it does take the chefs some time to make them. We ordered Kani salad, seaweed salad and wings. All came quickly and so did the rolls. The wings come piping hot and they were so good, we kept ordering more in small quantities to make sure we can finish everything. If you waste food, you will get charged. In total you can spend 2 hours, they constantly come by to see if you need more food, tea or water. At the end, they will have a final call so don't worry!! Definitely with the price. And the quality is also decent for the price. Fun to eat as well especially for the little and big kids. Pro tip: follow them in IG and get a free custard pudding. Not everyone has to follow but everyone will get one.

Spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll

Great AYCE lunch deal it's around $30. The fish is yummy. The staff is super sweet. My favorite is the salmon nigiri and the spicy salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. Also shout out to their fries literally perfect!

Came on a weekend lunch around 12:30pm and there was no wait. They offer ayce or regular al la cart menu. The sashimi was fresh and they don't load up on rice for sushi or rolls. If you ask kindly, they'll torch/sear the sushi for you if you'd like. Love the hot hojicha tea as well. Probably one of the best ayce spots in queens.

OK, gave another chance and came back there today. ...Akino Elmhurst is hands down one of the best all-you-can-eat sushi spots I've been to! The quality of the food is still amazing !!! everything tastes super fresh, and the sushi rolls are made to order with care. You can really tell they use great ingredients. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I went during lunch (11-3p), and the special was $26 with a huge variety of options to choose from. It's a great deal for what you get! also get two hours of dining time! If you're craving fresh sushi and want a relaxed, satisfying dining experience, Akino Elmhurst is the place. I'll definitely be coming back again soon!

Kids 4-8yrs old are half price. Mon-Thurs around $20 and Fri-Sun is around $21.50

How much is the price?

From monday-thurs, lunch is 26$ and dinner is 41$. From friday-sunday, it is all day dinner 43$.…

The beef teriyaki is thinly sliced in teriyaki sauce The sirloin is beef chunks with onions and absolutely delicious

What are the best rolls?

They have specialty rolls you can try on the right side of the list.

Is there music / are there speakers in the restaurant?

Yes there's music

Do you have to do reservations for a big party?

You absolutely should especially on weekends. It's really busy there.

Is the place still BYOB?

Yes!

Is the AYEC SASHIMI only for dinner or does it count , say if I go on Friday @230pm?

Sashimi is only available on the dinner menu, but you can order from the dinner menu at any time (e.g. you can choose items from the dinner menu at 2:30pm, but will be charged the dinner rate).

How much is it for All you can eat? Do they give you a paper to order every single time when I order it unlike a buffet?

I've dined there multiple times and depending on the table you get, it does get pretty chilly. Some tables have heaters facing them and some don't but there's a heater in the center of the outdoor space. Recommend to wear a sweater or a light jacket…

Does anyone know if they have indoor seating or if they put out space heaters to keep diners warm?

Win Win! Yeah they have both. Just limited space indoors.

Are they charging Covid19 surge charge fee thats up to 10% right now?

Another thing is that if you don't want crunch for any of your orders, just let the waitress know ahead of time and she will make sure the rest of your meals are crunch-less. I came last weekend for dinner and now I'm here for lunch. Last weekend , for this month's special we had one abalone for every person. It was so so good! Lunch is cheaper than eating across the street at Kura. We love akino so much !

This place is getting worse and worse. The quality of the fish has really gone downhill, and the…read morecustomer service was even more disappointing. I ordered a tuna avocado roll, and instead of getting whole pieces of tuna, the tuna was chopped up. I asked one of the servers about it, and he told me they were end pieces left over from sashimi cuts. When I asked why I wasn't given whole pieces of tuna, his response was basically that the fish was edible and, if I didn't want to eat the roll, then don't eat it. Then he just walked away. He never offered to replace the roll or asked if I wanted something else. As I was leaving, I spoke to the manager because there had been a small dog next to me sitting on a pillow on a chair and at the table. I mentioned that I didn't believe dogs were allowed inside restaurants unless they were service animals and that this clearly appeared to be a pet. Her response was, "All dogs are service dogs," and that it wasn't a big deal. That attitude bothered me more than anything else. When both the server and the manager dismiss a customer's concerns instead of trying to address them, it makes you question the overall standards of the restaurant. Poor food quality, poor customer service, and management that seems completely unconcerned about legitimate complaints. I used to enjoy coming here, but after this experience, I don't have much confidence in returning.
