The atmosphere was good and the music was not too loud. They updated the decor and it looks much better. For some reason, they had to cancel the takeout orders because they were backed up in the kitchen, consequently, our order took a substantial amount of time to come out. We had to take one of the orders to go because it took that long to get out of the kitchen. Our waitress did a great job at trying to update us on delays from the kitchen. The food was pretty good and we're hoping that they work out the kitchen issues and we'd love to come back here again.

This was a great find. Honestly best sushi in El Paso! The service was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the B-Strong and the salmon roll. Both were great. The vibe was very chill for the location. I will be back to try more of their menu.

Aki is an outstanding sushi spot. Chef Chopsticks delivers consistently fresh, perfectly crafted nigiri and creative omakase bites. The fish quality, presentation, and service are all top-tier. Highly recommend for anyone who wants serious, well-executed sushi without the hype. Chirashi bowl is a must Too!!

We had a wonderful evening. Alena made the best selections for us and kept us entertained throughout the evening. Definitely worth a second visit.

The most amazing sushi in El Paso! Their fish is as fresh as it gets being around here. It will make you feel like you live by water because of how fresh it is. Some other places claim to have the best sushi but believe me they aren't talking about real sushi, the ones who know will understand ;) let's not leave behind the amazing service you receive and the welcoming feel you get when walking in and see their beautiful ambience!

Aki Sushi opens three years ago at the Substation with some great promises. "Chopstick" the chef is known to the EP community as a friendly and knowledgeable sushi master chef. So, we have some of the best sushi in town in terms of freshness and quality of cuts. This of course comes at a price that is high for the EP community! I like sashimi as you cannot cheat and it goes to the essence of taste and simplicity. Service is friendly and efficient. The ambiance is relaxed, welcoming and modern. This is definitely a great addition to El Paso!

I can't say enough good things about this place! I stumbled across their restaurant looking through Yelp. Come to find out they are hands down the best sushi spot in town. The service is incredible and we are always treated SO well! I love the ambiance, very clean and comfortable. I love this hidden gem, and this review is long overdue but if you're consider a new spot in El Paso to check out for sushi.. this is your spot! The mochi, nigiri, rolls, and appetizers are all tasty. I haven't had anything that I didn't like!

Spacious and modern! great miso. Fresh fish. Excellent service. Broad menu! Location is out of the way, but in a nice shopping center.

Mother in law took me to lunch today at AKI Sushi and I finally was able to get the Uni! It was a splurge but so fresh and sweet and delicious. The lunch box special is the way to go which @reika_pug recommended. It came with teriyaki chicken which was ok, the white chicken was a bit dry and the sauce was thin. The sashimi (tuna and salmon) was sooo good and fresh and they give you huge chunks, so worth the price and I love eating it with the shredded daikon (radish). The tempura was light and not greasy with a variety of vegetables and shrimp and came with a dipping sauce. We had miso soup and my mother in law had the crunch roll and she was fine with the raw tuna even though the roll was flash fried. My friend Seiichi who went with me to the last infamous sushi spot messaged me tonight and told me they went as well and was also pleased with their experience. The sushi is just so good and the service nice and prompt. I still say this is the freshest and best presented sushi in El Paso. Pro tip: go earlier in the day if you want to catch fresh uni or other specialty items, they sell out quickly even though they're quite pricey but worth it. Hands down the best sushi I've ever had! So fresh tasting! We split a tempura appetizer and each ordered a roll. Service was impeccable.

Chicken "karaage" aka chicken nuggets. Avoid this place if you are looking for authentic Japanese dishes from the kitchen.

The rolls here are much bigger in size than most places and it felt like it was harder to eat without it just falling apart. It was my coworkers first time trying sushi and sadly it didn't really impress him much. I also picked this place due to the reviews but it seems like the name has been changed and maybe the business owner as well because it's now called Sushi Gang. I would say my favorite thing was the Eel nigiri. The dragon roll didn't meet my expectations from other Dragon rolls I had before. The Golden California roll was better than the Dragon roll. The staff was nice but they recommended something else to try and honestly it was very good. I don't even remember what it was but it was like a rice ball. I can't say I would go back here but give it a try and see if it meets your expectations. They seem to short staffed and that could be what went wrong that day but not sure.

I went with my family to the East Side to do some shopping for my son's Birthday. After we…read morefinished, since he wanted sushi, we looked for a place nearby in Apple Maps. When we arrived, we did not know what to expect (we even looked into the place in order to decide if we were staying or living). WHAT A SURPRISE!!!! The food (all of it) was SPECTACULAR. VERY fresh and tasty. The prices? I still cannot believe we ate so much delicious food for that amount of money. My wife wanted a Salmon Steak. They did not have the right sauce and therefore the dish was not in the menu. I asked if they could do a grilled salmon instead without the sauce. They did. My wife thinks it is probably the best salmon she had since we moved to El Paso. We are definitely going back often.
