When I went in to Bell they called the lab and was told I probably got a bad batch. Should have walked out then. Got my new RX with progressive/transition lenses using my 2 yr old frames. I paid $900. #1 they were delayed because the AR (anti reflective ) coating was defective Ok so at least they caught it. When my glasses finally came in the site line was at the top of the lens not the middle. So NO ONE checked at the lab or when they arrived at the shop!! They had to be sent back and now we have Labor Day weekend so maybe I'll get them by next Thursday. In the meantime I'm having a very difficult time without my glasses. You have been warned. Unfortunately, I did leave today's visit with a gut feeling that the doctor unfortunately manipulates how she's going to bill their services to benefit them, not us the customers. My husband and I each have a great VSP plans through our employer and for two exams it should have been covered especially with double coverage, however I left paying $120 out-of-pocket on what should have been zero. I left very disappointed. I am in the HR field and I have an understanding of how Primary and secondary insurances work, but there really was no arguing with the doctor. Definitely disappointed, and because of this experience, we will no longer be going to see her.

The front desk staff were all super friendly and polite, knowledgeable in their work, and just gave out an air of friendliness. Then I met Dr Kimberly Haw and she just was soo incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and I could tell she really wanted to do right by her patients. I went in for what I thought would be a simple contact lens exam and fitting, but I spent about an hour there mainly as I had a lot of health questions to ask and Dr Haw was super patient and open to answering everything. I also appreciated all of her honest advice regarding my eye health, and she took the time to explain her reasonings so that I could understand as well. She gave me a lot of advice too as well as sharing updated eye health care practices I didn't even know about. I'm incredibly impressed by how kind, thorough, and patient she was with me. She also gave me an amazing deal on contacts so that was a huge plus! I live far but work in San Leandro so I'm planning on having Estudillo Optometry and Dr Haw as my go to optometrist! My son just had an appointment this week with Dr. Geronimo, and she was amazing with him. She was patient, kind, explained what she was doing, and immediately put my son at ease. It was especially exciting because he was getting his very first pair of glasses! They have a huge selection of frames, so he had a great time picking out the perfect pair. The front desk staff is always friendly and welcoming, the eye exams are thorough, and we've never felt rushed. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The only minor downside is that the elevators in the building are a bit old, but that's such a small detail compared to the outstanding care you receive. This is against CA law and bad practice to impose a cancellation policy based solely on a sign in their office, especially for patients that are scheduled on the phone and confirm on the phone. I have since found a new optometrist and guess what? They text their appointment confirmation so the patient can confirm and guess what's also included in that patient confirmation text?
