I called AK Digital Printing to ask if they could convert 3 PDF folders into 3 booklets as for me it's easier to read, more convenient than reading on a computer and besides I like holding and reading books. He asked if the thumbdrive could be sent so that he could better understand what was requested. The thumbdrive was sent to them with requests for full color double sided pages and no bleed. I actually called three other local printers in the area and all three of them didn't have the paper weight that I wanted and I was stopped with a simple no we don't carry that weight (I was specially looking for something called 130 pound paper). Richard later help me to understand that the paper I was looking for was not a standard/stock type and it would have to be special ordered. It's a small gesture to let the customer know that you don't have it readily available but it is available. To take it even one step further he also suggested other ways we could get the thickness we wanted without having to do a special order for the paper. I reached out to AK printing the week of my wedding day in complete panic that because of my cheapness, I had created way too many DIY projects for myself. So here I am anxiously waiting to see if Richard and his team can work their magic. Immediately, Richard put me at ease that my complicated project would be possible within the timeframe (1-3 days), and that even better he'd help me figure out how to simplify. I wish I could show you some of the finished product of the escort cards, but I don't want to just put my friends' names all over the internet. Basically, I had two things to make, the table "numbers" which were meaningful places we've dated in, the escort cards with corresponding locations as stickies on it, as well as a canvas print of a pic of us to put next to the welcome sign. I was always a bit skeptical of all the average 5 star review places as I know those can be rigged but boy am I wrong for this one. I don't have enough good things to say about this printing company. The first time I used their services was when they printed my daughter's birthday invitation back in December. The result was exceptional -- front and back printing in quality paper. I knew then Richard would be my go-to guy for any future printing. Well, the future printing came sooner than expected when my grandmother passed away last month and we needed programs for her funeral. We didn't finish the design until 2 days before the service so we were really desperate for a printer who can work quickly. I reached out to AK Digital Printing (Richard) and I was given a quote over the phone for double sided 5x7 Memorial cards. I was surprised by the affordable price and proceeded to go in. Richard discussed different paper finishes and printed them out as examples so I could see how it looked & decide what I wanted. The Memorial cards were ready in 1 business day. On pick up day of the Memorial cards, I decided very last minute that I wanted to design double sided Prayer cards (the size of business cards) and have them printed. Richard quoted me an affordable price, yet again! I emailed Richard my order and they were also ready in 1 business day. On the day I picked up the Prayer cards, Richard asked if I had a printed picture of my Father that I would display by the casket during Funeral Services. I did not have that done yet, and Richard offered to print any size I requested. Later that day (which was 2 days before Services), I emailed Richard the photo I needed printed. He had it ready the following business day. Not only did he print the 1 photo I needed, but an additional photo of the same size and 1 photo of a bigger size. AK is amazing HANDS DOWN. At 4:30pm today, I had a panic attack when I was told I had to mail an important form by 5pm (when post office closes). Freaking out even more that my printer at home decided not to work, I looked for the nearest Staples or computer cafe but there was none.
