YES... they do luxury watch brands however you need to call or go in person to get a quote , I've seen the prices and still way better than going and paying an arm and leg at a retailer. Support small businesses... also enjoy the Filipino shops and food while you wait. Needed to get a new battery for my watch, nothing fancy, it is a ladies Swiss Legend Karamica White. The kiosk is located outside Seafood City and there is a elderly gentleman who tends the place. Looks like he also makes keys as well. It took him about 15 minutes to change the battery of my watch which was fine. I didn't mind the wait. Why the 2 star is because when I asked for the price and the guy quoted me $12.95, so with tax it came out to be $14.02. However, after I paid, I see a sign stating $9.95 plus tax for battery and installation. So why the $3 discrepancy? It wasn't a fancy watch. He didn't have to repair the watch or remove any links to the band. ARGH! See the photo I posted of the price he listed and the price he charged me. If the price is $12.95, then he should take the time to change the sign. After all, the current price is just written on a piece of paper with a sharpie. As a rule of thumb, I give any businesses a standard 3-star rating and change according how well or poor the overall experience is. I was coming from work and I needed my watch battery replaced so I Yelped and stumbled onto this little business located inside the Seasons Plaza in front of Seafood City. My first impression of this place was a modest and kept little kiosk. When I approached the guy that was tending the kiosk store, I asked how much they charged for service. He immediately says $12.95; I was shocked enough that my jaw literally dropped. I don't know how much watch services cost but I knew I was being lied to (especially if it's only to replace a battery). I reluctantly handed my watch just to get it over with since driving to another watch store seemed illogical. Besides, I lived close by and I just wanted to get it over with and go my merry way. As he's replacing the battery, I walked around the kiosk and I happen to see a sign that says they only charge $9.95 + tax for watch battery replacement. I would have just accepted the service fee and have taken the loss if I didn't see the sign, but I was appalled that this guy had the audacity to lie to me when they had a sign out the whole time. I am unsure if it's because they didn't have enough customers to keep their business afloat so he felt justified to charge extra, or if he's basing the cost on how I was dressed. I mean really; if you are going to lie to me, at least put some effort and put the sign away. *Hence the minus 1 star from my standard 3-star rating scale* Yes, I could have gone back and made a big deal and complained, pointed out his mistake, and probably received the difference back, but that would have seemed petty. Besides, If a business like AJR Watch Repair would need to deceive their customers to earn profit, they must be desperately scraping by. This guy rocks, I have had this stupid Swiss Army watch for 4 years, since day one the band keeps unlocking itself, Victornox says it is within tolerances, other watch shops said sorry you are SOL. I went up to him and asked him to change the batteries on my dad's Burberry watch. He gave me a quote of $10 and replaced the batteries and even adjusted everything for me in 5 minutes and I was on my way. I got this address from a coworker to take my watch to have length shortened. Arrived at the counter about 12:45 PM and no one was there but big sign was posted behind counter saying close for lunch from 1pm to 2pm, I thought ok maybe taking early lunch, there was a guy standing there saying they're taking a break. I believed he was the one who suppose to be there. I returned an hour later a few minutes to 2 still no one. I then called the number on business card and a man answered and said due to covid 19 they were ordered to close even though online said open and big sign says open but close for lunch from 1 to 2. He even said that he removed the small little sign that was there that says "Back in 10 minutes" This is Very very poor customer service and I will never ever go back there and hopefully no one else would go there either. Was concerned about those poor reviews but was in area after volunteering with Humane Society and grandma needed the watch fixed immediately. He was very nice and quickly changed the battery for $13. (sign said 12.95 + tax) Has all the right tools to do professional job and cleaned the cover. He even showed me feature didn't know about - on this Timex, press the stem in and it Lights up. Terrible place and you should never ever go there. Don't let the age of the gentlemen fool you, he knows what he is doing and is very good in that which is fooling you and overcharging. I approached the shop to fix my wall clock which he charged $45 for labor a new clock hand and the actual small box as he claimed he cannot repair it and needs to be replaced. It took a week to fix it and within 3 days of fixing, the clock stopped again. The place is a bit far from my place, so I decided to check it myself and found that the shop had not given the new part and just tried to fix the old one as I was able to locate a small scratch which I know was there on the older part. The only reason I didn't go back was I received a replacement from the actual product seller and didn't want to go back and engage in another conversation and struggle to make him understand in plain English. Sometime you feel they do understand but somehow just pretend they don't as it just more convenient. read more

This watch repair place is hard to find. After circling the parking lot hoping to see a sign that said AJR watch repair I parked and found it inside the seafood city entry way. The gentleman was quick and efficient when changing the battery, I didn't have to wait at all even though he was working on other things. The watch battery was as others noted $9.95 which is comparable to what other places have charged in the past. I had trouble finding the place as it is inside the Seafood City. I waited for about 15-20 minutes while the guy behind the counter attempted to find a key blank for another customer (no luck, he sent them to home depot) and then changed the battery in a woman's watch. My turn, I give him my watch and tell him the crystal is broken and needs to be replaced. He tells me it will take 1-2 weeks and cost $35. I said I would think about it. Went down the street .01 miles to JL Watch repair, he replaced the crystal in less than an hour and charged me $15. read more

Got two watch bands length adjustments (Timex, Casio) here. Each time, the owner took around 5min to fix it, charging $7 as posted on his sign. Although my friend knows of another watch place that charge $5 somewhere in East San Jose, I find this owner knowledgeable and honest about watches, but I wouldn't consider him the cheapest watch repair out there. Unlike some people, I like to save money yet I'm willing to spend a little bit more if I see that the person is skilled in their profession. That is why I come here. After my watches were adjusted, he asked me to put it on and he watched how my watch moved on my wrist. He could tell that it was initially too tight and so he took it back to loosen more until we were both satisfied. Each tap of his hammer is delicate, precise and intentional. He's not just banging around his tools aimlessly. I consider myself a picky, demanding person especially when it comes to detail-oriented things. And, I like this guy. Too bad I don't have a ton of watches to fix, but I'll definitely refer my friends to him. read more
