As a Santa Clara local, I really wanted to support a mom-and-pop shop instead of going to a chain. I called to get a quote on replacing the case for my Bulova watch, and right off the bat the owner, Jason, was rude and dismissive. When I asked what the difference was between the crystal options and their prices, he started yelling at me over the phone and told me, "You don't know what it costs to run a business." I just wanted to understand what I'd be paying for, which is a simple question any customer would ask before a repair. I called back to calmly find out what the issue was with our conversation. Instead, he kept yelling, called me childish and immature, and told me that if I called back he would hunt me down and beat me up. No customer should ever be threatened for asking about prices. This goes far beyond bad customer service. He is a very angry upset man mad at life.... It's disappointing, because I'd much rather keep my money in the community, but I won't be bringing my watch here, and I'd strongly recommend others stay away. read more

I came in here in June looking to get my Calvin Klien watch fixed. I originally had taken it to a different shop to get the battery replaced & I noticed I could hear the ticking, but the second hand was in a stuck position. I was told I had to take it to a professional, so I ended up here at Tick Tock. The watch is 25 years old & I've stopped wearing it for over 10 years. The thing I appreciated about Jason is that he was very direct in how much it would cost & how long it would take & the reason for it. A great place to go if the time you have, can be wasted! I took my wall clock into The Tick Tock Shop, the first week of October, 2021. I was told that it likely needed only a cleaning and that it would be a two month wait. After three months, I called and was told that it was still in the staging line and that it would likely be another month. Six weeks ago, I called again. This time I was told that he was doing clocks, left off in September and that it would be another two weeks. I got the exact same story today, when I called. The owner sounded pretty stressed and accused me of wanting to have my clock done, ahead of the others. I gave up and picked my untouched clock up, today. He is truly amazing in his knowledge and craft. One time, I even had him come to my home when I inherited a family antique wall clock I got from out of state. It hadn't worked in years. After it arrived, I had him come, take the works back to his shop for repair, then replaced the working "innards" and hung the heavy clock where we wanted it and calibrated it.
