I recently visited Aisle Chic to look for a dress. I only had six months until my wedding day and knew I needed to find something I could take home that day. I'm in the burbs, but my mom and aunt drove four hours one way to go with me. We were so lucky to have Maya help us try on dress, after dress, after dress. I was quite decisive and knew within moments of putting on a dress whether it was what I was going for. Every time I commented on features I liked or disliked, Maya floated across to different racks to grab something that may meet my needs. In the end, I waffled between two gowns and Maya was so patient with me trying them on over and over. She also recommended a beautiful veil that complimented the dress magnificently. They were a second shop I wanted to try on dresses. Informed them I found a dress at another shop I was highly considering and asked if they would consider waiving the $100 cancellation fee. They said no so I said I'll still come in then cause I'm considering a second dress. They said they already charged the fee to my card but I could make another appt and put the fee towards anything I buy. The manager called and was very rude, questioning why they would continue the appt if I already bought a dress. I let them know I hadn't bought it yet and still considering other dresses. They said then why would you ask about the cancellation fee this isn't a dress up party. Future brides beware read more

I had a great experience here finding my wedding dress. However, I must warn others to not use Arthur and Lucca for alterations. The fees (even with the 15% off discount) was way more than I intended for the basic alterations ($1800). They also charged for work they didn't do - in the contract that you must pay for the work in advanced. read more

I found a gorgeous reception gown here, and selection was amazing. HOWEVER, the cups on my gown are too small, and the sales associate said that the seamstress could make the cups larger. I asked several times confirming this could be done before buying the dress. I felt somewhat pressured that if I didn't buy the dress that day that it was a top dress on many brides lists and would likely be gone. I called SEVERAL seamstresses... including the ones recommended by the store. All of the seamstresses agreed that the cups cannot be made larger. My seamstress is instead planning on adding fabric to each side of the corset under the arms. This is obviously not what I had hoped for as the rest of the corset fits perfectly as-is. I wish I had called around to different seamstresses before purchasing the gown. read more

This was a seamless process and I found the dress after trying on about six dresses. Ahead of my appointment, I texted the woman dress styles that I was interested in trying on. When my mom and I got there we were the only ones in the studio and it was so nice to have the space to ourselves (recommend an early morning appointment). They allowed my mom and I to look at all the dresses and select a few additional dresses to try on including the ones the stylist picked out. The woman was so bubbly and kind. I felt so comfortable and at ease trying things on with her. In the end I started with a budget of between 2K-2.5K and got my dress and veil for 2.5K so right on budget. We were able to negotiate the price down a bit because there was a small tear in the lace. I had my dress altered, added a bustle and fixed the rear at Fix & Fit Gowns in Lakeview. Overall I had a wonderful experience at Aisle Chic and recommend it for brides looking for a designer dress for less. read more

What you should know about buying off-the-rack: - Aisle chic does not tailor - These are not second hand - Dresses are in excellent condition! - Tailors are amazing but sizing down a dress multiple sizes is quite the feat. As someone who wasn't a biggest fan of the wedding dress process, Aisle Chic made me feel completely comfortable with their pressure free environment as I tried on dresses (it also helped that I was the only person trying on dresses at the time as well). Aisle Chic is the HOLY GRAIL of all bridal shops! I was super hesistant about coming here because I didn't like the idea of "off the rack" dresses. My cousin referred me so I trusted her opinion. From the moment I walked in, the store was breathtaking. It is super clean, chic, bright and well organized. The consultants, Jenna and Arlette were so friendly! They were both genuine and I absolutely loved their personalities. I loved how they don't allow other appointments at the same time. As soon as I checked in, Arlette made me super comfortable. My heart melted when she got to know my family. Most places make it just about the bride but she made them feel just as special. The dresses were all divided into the types of styles (A line, mermaid, ball gowns, luxury etc) which made the shopping experience that much easier. Aisle Chic is upfront about the prices since the dresses are all labeled. Arlette had one dress she wanted me to try on. She pulled it off the luxury rack...in my mind I thought she was crazy because I told her my budget and I knew that specific dress was way over. I got into the fitting room which was pretty big. Arlette put me in a fuzzy warm robe and me feel beautiful before I even tried on dresses. I felt like I was on the episode of the SYTTD! Long story short, I tried on the last one and knew deep down it was the one. I couldn't get excited because I didn't want to be disappointed. I don't know what strings she pulled to give me my dream dress within my budget, but Arlette is an angel and I am so glad I came to Aisle Chic. Thanks to them I will look magnificent on my big day! She was patient and never pushy but really listened to my likes and dislikes with each gown I tried on, no matter how indecisive I was! I recently worked with Madelon, who helped me find "the dress!" Overall, it was a really great experience. I went to the store after being referred by a friend who also found her dress there. My first impression walking in was what a cute store it was. It wasn't cluttered like other sample stores I had been too. The dresses are organized by style; a-line, ballgown, fit and flare, etc. The prices are clearly labeled and the most expensive dresses are separated on their own rack. I gave Madelon my budget and she really helped me stick to it. I picked out one dress way over what I wanted to spend and she let me know (so I could quickly put it back). After every dress she would ask what I did or didn't like so we could narrow down what I was looking for. Her process worked, because she eventually pulled the dress I ended up buying. Most importantly, at no point was she pressuring me to buy a dress. I told her I needed some time alone with my crew to talk about the dress and she gave us space. The dress variety is great, there are cute accessories to pick from, and the bridal stylists are all very sweet. I would highly recommend Aisle Chic be on every Chicago Area bride's list. read more

I went here on a whim and got my dress! I had been to a few other stroes in Chicago. This is a store with just sample dresses. I had Kelsey and she was amazing and did such a good job listening to what I wanted. Pros: -They stayed in my budget but was in the higher end for me. -You are the only person there, the store is completely yours so it's very intimate -the do not overwhelm you with too many dresses the only let you try on 3 at a time -THEY ARE NOT PUSHY!! since this is a high pressure situation they are not pushy. There is only one dress of it's kind so if you don't get it someone else can take it from you. They do let you reserve it for a $100 fee if you are unsure. Cons: -Getting an appointment. You have to call and they call to confirm. I work at a job where it's difficult to answer phone calls so email or texts is better and I am able to respond. -Depending on the dress you will still need to alter it. Its hard to say how much exactly but they are very knowledgeable about what should be done and have recommendations on where to go! Overall a great experience. read more

She's also an amazing listener and knew what questions to ask to put us on the right track. She even let me try on a dress from my favorite designer (Galia Lahav) that was out of my budget but she wanted me to have the experience. The store has a wide variety of styles and sizes available, and my stylist, Arlette, did a great job of finding options that fit within my budget and that matched the look I was going for. She actually pulled down the dress I ended up buying - my mom and I had both passed it over during our walk through the store, but she encouraged me to try it on, and as soon as I did, I loved it! I've been at some stores where the stylist really puts pressure on you to not leave the store without buying a dress, but Arlette was so sweet and low-pressure throughout the appointment, which I really appreciated. I love this place!! During my dress search I went to 9 stores in Chicago (that I can remember). I had a special style I was looking for and Brianna totally understood what I was looking for. I went to Aisle Chic two times to try and dresses. In between appointments Brianna did some 'personal shopping' to find a dress that matched my vision. When I arrived for the second appointment they found a dress that had everything I imagined. They brought the dress in the night before my appointment, just for me. Amazing!! I cannot recommend this place and Brianna more! Thank you so much for your help in finding the perfect dress and ending my long journey of dress shopping. Just FYI: these are sample dresses so no eating or drinking champagne while shopping. You purchase the dress as is and leave with the dress. Also- if you find a dress you can hold it for 24 hours for a non refundable $100 deposit. This amount does to the dress if you end up buying after the hold. read more

I had such a wonderful experience. Arlette(Ariette?) helped me and she is FANTASTIC. So lovely, nice, and helpful. I picked some to try on but she also chose many that matched my preferences and some others that might be more unexpected. The dresses are in good condition and the prices are very reasonable too! I haven't bought my dress yet, but loved a lot of the dresses I tried on. I am still waffling and am considering designing my own, but if I end up not doing that, 100% I'll come back here to buy the dress. I've been to several other stores in Chicago, and I am certain there's nowhere better--for the service, the variety, and the prices. I called on a Sunday morning to see if they could squeeze me in for a last-minute appointment that same day. I got lucky and they called me back because they had a cancellation due to snow! Jenna even ended up calling me a little early to say she had some extra time and I could come before my appointment time. The store is beautiful and the racks aren't over crowded so you can really see the gowns. They only do two fittings at a time so you basically get the whole store to yourself. The dressing room is huge and they give you a fluffy robe. I suffer from a pretty severe anxiety disorder and had to go alone that day, so I was feeling a little off and I did share with Jenna that I was feeling nervous. She went above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable. I was feeling a little sweaty (lol) because of how nervous I was but Jenna was so professional about everything and never made me feel bad. I ended up finding my dress randomly after trying on two rounds of dresses but not yet finding the one. I asked if we could try it and she said of course! It was GORGEOUS. I have to say the day before I went to David's Bridal and it was miles from shopping at Aisle Chic. The DB dress I initially liked was even $300 MORE and nowhere near the quality of this gorgeous designer dress I got at Aisle Chic. Jenna was so excited and told me that I looked gorgeous and took lots of photos and even a video of me in the dress that I got to share with my whole family. She gave me a goody bag with some high-quality wedding magazines and even a cookie (which I ate immediately upon getting home lol). Yesterday I even received a hand-written note from her in the mail thanking me and telling me again how beautiful I looked in the dress. It really makes brides feel special! This was such a wonderful experience and I can't wait to get to share photos of my wedding day in the dress! It's beautiful and well-priced and even the seamstress I went to said it was in great condition (there's sheer panels and tons of lace and some beading so it's pretty intricate!). I was able to take a few dresses to try on at home which was actually a really sweet experience at my parents house with my mom - no pressure! My stylist, Jenna, even let us come back later that day to walk around the showroom (with our masks) and grab a few more dresses to take home. They sent us home with clips and accessories to complete the look so you still got that bridal moment when trying on. While I didn't end up purchasing my dress from Aisle Chic I had the BEST experience here. After having to postpone dress shopping for 3 months (I was scheduled to shop the weekend shelter in place took effect) I was VERY stressed about being able to find a dress that I could get in time for my November wedding. Jenna was my consultant and she was fabulous. She made my mom and I feel so welcome and made my first time ever trying on a dress everything I could have ever wanted - even without my other bridesmaids and while wearing a mask - which is a huge undertaking. The options here are vast and I never once felt like I was having an "off the rack" experience.
