AirWorks Solutions comes through again! After enduring the past two weeks of heat due to a leaking Freon condensing unit. A regrettable change to our home warranty that stalled & used one of "their" HVAC techs having an attitude because he hadn't been paid several work orders by them, we finally get a new unit installed & it worked perfectly for 4 hours then just STOPPED! Enough was enough. AirWorks installed our Rheem heater several years ago. We've admired their work ever since and were pleased with the people and installation process... A few days ago temps dropped, rain happened, but the controller wasn't displaying anything. We changed batteries. Nothing, but my wife noticed the batteries had leaked. Anyway, we called Airworks, they set up an appointment for a day later and provided a time frame. They communicate very effectively via text (to both my wife & I), and Jared showed up on the early side of the window. Not surprisingly, he was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He confirmed very quickly that the thermostat/controller might need to be fixed or replaced, carried it out to his truck, cleaned it and reconnected everything. Voila! Another problem with my aging A/C compressor. Edwyn was excellent. It has been two years and the service is even better than last time. You can track the tech while they are on the way to your house. When the job is done I got pictures of what was done and screenshots of the coolant pressures which was fascinating. In my case there was a few options and Edwyn explained the options with the right amount of information so it was easy to pick which way to proceed. It felt good being part of that process. I have to say in all the years with different companies and technicians, Edwyn was the very best and I will be asking for him next time. AirWorks did a fantastic job. We worked with Mike McFarlane as our sales person. He was great and very patient. It took us over 3 years to pull the plug and put in a whole new system and rerouted equipment. He would update my estimate on an average of every 6 months. Each technician were wonderful...kind, knowledgeable, and PATIENT! They walked me through every step and got approval on EVERY step along the way. James had great ideas that we ended up going with. Anthony and Vincent were on the job every day. They answered all my billion questions and they both walked me through every step they did along the way and explained it to me so I had a clear understanding. Did I say "PATIENT!" Wesley was great and very professional and respectful. He too was very knowledgeable. I know I'm not the easiest person to deal with and I question many things along the way, not because they were incapable but for me to understand the process & know exactly what I'm getting. I recently called AirWorks to have a tune up on my heater. The people creating my appointment were very helpful, and Angel was able to come out the same day. He was so friendly and professional. He presented me with options to clean it up and repair, but since the heater was almost 40 years old, he recommended that we look at replacement since it was in my best interest both financially and functionally. Amazingly Mike and Chuy came out the very next day and installed my new unit. The change in airflow and heat level is unbelievable. I'm so grateful that AirWorks was able to help me and my family in preparation for the upcoming winter. Yesterday an Airworks technician (Michael) came to my home for a semi-annual check-up on my heat pump system as part of their family plan service. Prior to his visit the system was operating perfectly. Instead of inspecting my system, from the moment he entered my home he was in full sales mode: I should add an "Ionizer" (cost $1600), a "surge protector" (cost $600) and, by the way I need a new motor (cost $996). I told him to finish the inspection and I would consider his proposals. This morning I turned on the system and all that was coming out was cold air. I did a rudimentary check of the system and found out the condenser unit outside of the house had been switched into the off position. I turned it back on and the system is again working just fine. The only one who was near my condenser unit was Michael and I am left with only one conclusion: He turned the condenser off in a fit of picque because while he was in selling mode, I was not in buying mode. Vince and the crew at AirWorks Solutions were great. We love our new AC System. The crew actually did a few extra things to ensure that our system would work optimally. For instance, the previous owner purchased a new heater only, but left the previous heater housing there! Vince and the crew took out the old housing. They also built a wood platform so that the return would be high enough to allow the filter to slide right in nicely. We love the Bosch Inverter Heat Pump and our house has been pleasantly cool since their visit. A great team working for a great company. The AirWorks team recently replaced my air conditioner and upgraded the ducts, which were the originals since 1982! In addition they rerouted a line that ran inside the walls where a leak was detected. Their price for this work was less than the price I got from the company I have been using for 15 years. However it was not the price that swayed me but the due diligence and professionalism of the AirWorks team, who suggested that since I had a leak somewhere, we should identify the source before putting in a new system which may or may not be the problem. The other company was happy to sell me a new system without even addressing this. I am delighted with the result. My new system is quieter and more efficient. I highly recommend AirWorks! read more
