I haven't had pizza from airport in a long time so we decided to try it this weekend. It was actually a decent pie! A little on the thinner side (could be because we ordered the 20 inch round), sauce is not as sweet as I prefer but it had a ton of cheese like I love! We also tried the chicken finger sub which was your basic that you can get at most places, good just nothing that stands out. And the wings were huge and saucy and definitely worth it! We visited this place based on the reviews and were not disappointed. We were the only patrons in the dining room -- it seemed like they catered more to carry out, which was very busy. Okay updating this review because we have recently tried the pizza and 2 out of 3 of us didn't love it. The crust is good and crispy ( which most places never seem to achieve) and they use quality cup and char pepperoni but the sauce just isn't it. It tastes homemade but it's very bland for my tastes. Where is the garlic? Where is the oregano? Where is the actual pizza flavor? I still love that first sub I ordered so I won't take any stars away. The subs here are ridiculously good. You may think you've had a great one from other places and then you try one here and your mind is blown. It starts with a fresh, soft and fluffy delicious sub roll, fresh veggies, your choice of cheese and ample amounts of high quality deli meat and ends with the perfect meat to bread ratio. Had an event nearby and found a coupon on their site for 50 wings + a sheet pizza. Called an order ahead the day before and the person on the phone was super pleasant. The 50 wings came with 4 blue cheeses which was enough, but a little on the short side. The medium wings were good, decently crispy and a solid AOK wing on the Buffalo-wing scale. The pizza got some good comments, but I honestly weren't able to try a slice...our group gobbled it up fairly quickly so I imagine it was a crowd pleaser. All in all - pleasant experience ordering. So it takes a pretty good slice for me to give five stars. Airport Pizza is excellent... tasty, well-seasoned, and delicious. It's not in my top 10 slices in Buffalo, headed by Bella and Imperial, but it's definitely good enough for me to award a nice, healthy, juicy five stars. Breathe in deeply as you eat it, after all, it is "Airsnort Pizza." Not to mention that the service is lovely, both the girl at the front counter, and the owner who was making the pizza. While spending one night near the Buffalo airport between a family trip and a flight home, we stopped in to Airport Pizzeria for a pie and salad. Both were absolutely great. The pizza crust was a very nice balance between crispy exterior and warm, chewy interior, often hard to achieve. The cheese and toppings were generous, and the overall taste was classic, flavorful NY Pizza. (BTW, even their small pizza would feed three.) Ditto for the caesar salad. The owner/chef puts his heart into his food and service, and it shows. When we're back Buffalo way again, we're definitely getting more Airport pizza. read more

I just went here fo the first time today it's been there for 57 years and there is a reason the pizza is really good the crust is on the thin side but I like thin crust so it doesn't bother me the restaurant is amazingly clean looks like a newer restaurant does not look like it's been there for 57 years the wings are also really good and defray meets the Buffalo standerd we will definitely be returning in the future defiantly recommend it read more

The owner and staff are always so friendly and not gruff on the phone like other pizzerias. The pizza is phenomenal and so are the wings- highly recommend the charred bbq. Also seemed knowledgeable about food allergies and we are able to eat here safely with our child who has a peanut allergy. This is now our go-to pizzeria. read more

We came in from out of town to visit Niagara mostly, staying close to the airport. Family wanted pizza, saw the ratings for Airport pizza and thought we should give it a shot. At first when we pulled up we didn't think it was open. We went in and it's an order at the counter and pretty much serve yourself type of place. We ordered wings and pizza. The wings were big and meaty and the pizza was great, just a simple pepperoni pizza. I think it was the owner who served us. Great guy, He gave us suggestions on where to go and what to see. Very happy we went there, loved the food and we got to see more of Buffalo, thanks to the gentleman's great advice and hospitality. Highly recommend this place. We just moved--and we're finally home! And for our first local take-out pizza in our new neighborhood, we chose to give Airport Pizzeria a try. It was a purely proximity and Yelp-review based decision. With 50+ years in business and a 4.5 star rating, it seemed like a chance worth taking. We went with the large pizza and 20-wing special for $31.99. The pizza was what you'd expect from a solid Buffalo pie--soft, chewy dough, a slightly sweet sauce, a thick layer of salty cheese and pepperoni grease cups to top it off. The pizza was a win. The wings were decent, but not our favorite ever. We got 10 hot and 10 BBQ. They were all a smaller-'ish size wing, not tiny, but I would not call them jumbo. The hot was just okay. The BBQ was delicious, the sauce was sweet and smokey, and the wings were grill-seared to give them even more yummy charred flavor. We also got an antipasto salad. For thirteen bucks, I was really hoping the salad would deliver. And it was pretty good. It was loaded with toppings, lots of meats and cheese. The one thing I didn't love was they use a spring mix instead of iceburg, and in an antipasto I definitely prefer iceburg lettuce. But the bountiful toppings made up for it. And I noticed they have green olives on the toppings menu which I will ask to substitute for the black olives next time, because IMHO green are far superior to their dark cousins. Overall, I'm glad we picked Airport for our first pizza night in our new pad. There are lots of promising pies around that we'll have to eat our way through over time, but we'll still be back here again along that journey. read more

Found this place on Yelp, while visiting Buffalo. 5 of us ventured over to it based on said reviews and it was only a couple miles away from our hotel. The owner (I presume) was very friendly and patient. We ordered two different pizzas, with mine being the pizza with pieces of steak. Wow, it was excellent, loaded with toppings, cheese and taste! There was too much cheese as far as my wife was concerned, but I loved it. We arrived and ate late, so there were only a few customers coming and going (take out orders). We were not rushed to get out and the other worker was also friendly as he assisted us with to-go boxes and packing. I can't see me ever coming to Buffalo again, but if I did I would most likely want to hit this place up again if I had a desire for pizza. read more

This place is certainly a hidden gem. I have only eaten here once so far, but it certainly won't be the last. I am a huge fan of thin crust/chewy pizza. Their Artisan pizza was just phenomenal. I ordered the Genoa Italian: herbed olive oil, genoa salami, onions, roasted red peppers, and the perfect amount of cheese. I could taste each item and it was just the right amount of every ingredient. The crust was the star of the show, though. It was perfectly crisp on the bottom while keeping a deliciously chewy interior, and those gorgeous bubbles of crunch on the edge made each bite awesome from the tip to the crust. Living in Cheektowaga, finding a pizza place for pizza and wings to go on a Sunday after nine is nearly impossible. However, after googling for a bit, my fiance came across Airport Pizza and I was reminded of a regular who vowed this place was the best. We decided to give it a shot. We ordered a large and 20, which came to 34.50. Not a deal, but also not abnormally high. Picking up the pizza was pleasant. The chef was clean, well mannered, and extremely social...he seemed very engaged in our conversation as he finished my order, which I appreciated. After a long day at work appeasing others, it was nice having someone take a second for me! The pizza was amazing! I can honestly say we have finally found good pizza in the area! What a hidden gem! The cheese was fresh, not processed goo, and it was perfectly baked! The wings were medium, and for once, actually medium (not just buttery with no kick of heat).
