We called on a Sunday for our AC that suddenly wasn't blowing through the vents. We had cleaned the return, and done some prelim investigating prior to the call. Being that these next few weeks are supposed to be extremely hot, when what the manual said didn't work, we made the call. Mike Ball showed up, early which was great. We chatted for a few moments about what was happening. Once we turned on the unit, his initial diagnosis was the capacitor on the blower motor. He quickly tested it and it was at zero. He indicated that he'd start there, and if that didn't work, he'd go into diagnosing the mother board or the blower fan itself. Sure enough, that was it. Mike noted a few things that were not to current code, and offered to bring us up to compliance. He tested several other things, to give us a healthy expectancy of our unit. When I told him, "we like to fix what we can, and replace when we need..." he agreed and told us he didn't think we needed to replace it yet. He gave us 3-4 really good maintenance tips for the furnace and the AC unit, which was so helpful. To be honest, I was nervous that it was going to be a huge expense. Mike was so funny, and told me some cost breakdowns, as well as gave us a Veteran discount. He not only understood our position, but did as much as he could for us with 1 charge. I appreciated his candor, his honesty, his professionalism and how many tips he gave us. He was here about 45 minutes, which included verifying veteran, & accepting the payment. We felt as though the money we spent with Airmaxx and Mike was absolutely worth it. If anything happens, Airmaxx will be our first company we bid for replacement. This company is far and away the best! Replaced AC unit and they were significantly more affordable than other bids for the same exact equipment. Their installation people are very professional and did a perfect job. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and needed some last minute ducting work and they not only did it immediately after installing AC but did it for a very reasonable cost. And they solved a problem that could've derailed the entire project. Gene was a pleasure to deal with throughout the project. He was the person who initially scoped project and provided quote. I received a phone call that they were available earlier if I was and so I got in about an hr before my scheduled appt. Jeffrey came by and introduced himself and assessed the problem, figured out the issue was due to a dirty filter (that hadn't been changed in 7+ years :/ ) and showed me where it was and how to check it. We have had our AC for the past eight years. It was brand new when we bought it in the house in 2017,and we never had any maintenance done to our system. I had an issue with the AC over the past several days where it would intermittently turn off and on and not run continuously. I decided I need to call an AC repair service to fix the AC and also do some maintenance. I found Airmaxx on Yelp here with some great reviews, so I decided to give them a try. The technician came out, and his name was Gilbert Cortez. He was awesome. Gilbert was very friendly, courteous, professional, and even was kind enough to put on shoe coverings when walking around on the inside of our house. He wanted me to come outside with him to look at everything in our AC system as he checked it, so I could learn about it and how it was working. After going through and explaining the different parts and the different measurements that should showing on his instruments, we decided to replace a couple components. He got my AC working great again, and I'm so very thankful! Gilbert you're awesome! To his boss: He needs a raise! He also gave me a ton of good advice on doing some simple maintenance at home to help minimize damage to the AC unit overtime. This is a bit different from other reviews since I ultimately decided to go with another company for my installation. However, it was a very close race and I only went with the competition because of a price advantage (which was not large, but I needed something to break the tie). My experience with Airmaxx during the quoting process was extremely positive. Our house was a challenging retrofit, and most companies offered half-baked, lazy solutions. Only Airmaxx and one other came up with good solutions that actually addressed our wants/needs. They took us seriously and designed a well thought-out system for our unconventional setup. After quotes from dozens of companies, only Airmaxx an one other had anything that actually made sense and showed some effort. We chose Airmaxx's competition in the end, but only because they came in slightly lower on price. It was not an easy decision and I'm confident Airmaxx would have done very well. If you're in the market, I highly recommend at least getting a quote from Airmaxx. Oh, they also are Diamond dealers for Mitsubishi, and offer a 12 year labor warranty on mitsubishi installations. That is waaaaay better than anyone else we spoke to (most offered 1-2 years labor and 12 years parts). read more

My experience started with Edgar giving us a quote, he was easy to talk to and was very detailed with the explanations of the work required. This also turned out to be the most inexpensive of the 3 quotes I received. A team of 5 guys came in one day to replace both heating and air, along with replacing duct work in the attic. They were fast , efficient, and very conscientious of being clean and neat. I had never heard of Airmaxx before then, but their technician was confident all I needed to do was replace the blower - still not a cheap fix, but well under $1,000 and obviously way better than the $10-15k I was looking at for a new system. 5 years later the system is still running smoothly! Whatever Airmaxx management/ownership is doing to attract talent and provide the proper incentives for their employees seems to be working well. I hope they keep it up!
