UPDATE 10 June 2024
AOA is the Brocock/BRK distributor for the United States.
So they also sell retail as well as distributors to dealers who sell the Brocock products
I bought a Umarex Notos a little over a yerar ago and that transaction was smooth and the product was well packed and worked perfectly and accurately.
I purchased a Brocock/BRK Pathfinder from them through one of their distribution dealers. It arrived leaking air from a pressure gauge. I called their tech support and asked how to fix. He said "tighten it", I sked how tight, he didn't know. I slowly and carefully tightened it waiting for the air bubbles to stop but the gauge broke off from its stem. I returned it and the dealer received full credit as did I. Also the hammer spring on the Pathfinder could not be adjusted because "the plastic screws that hold it it place was too tight". The tech told me thaty they could easily be removed, but that would require opening up the gun which would, he said, "void the warranty." I will likely buy the Pathfinder again but this time ask them to make sure it doesn't leak and to make sure that they "plastic screws" are. not too tight for me to adjust the hammer spring.
I also bought a pre-owned FX Panthera 600mm PCP rifle in .22, almost $1,800. It arrived configured for a left handed shooter. That was an undisclosed surprise. I had to reconfigure the Panthera to right hand as I, like most people, are right-handed. I had a fe issues with that reconfiguration and AOA was unable to help me with that. I finally sought out help on the Internet and solved that problem.
Turns out that that Panthera 600mm in .22 shoots extremely accurate groups with extremely consistent shot-to-shot velocity
consistency. I LOVE it.
So my experience with AOA has been hot and cold.
They do not offer free shipping and their shipping charges are excessive (probably a profit center).
They do not offer good deals on pellets/slugs. Pyramyd Air offers "buy 3 get one free" on pellets and slugs. Pyramyd Air offers free shipping on orders of $150 or more. Below that amount their shipping charges are modest.
Pyramyd Air does not offer Brocock/BRK products.
Sometime when I call them I am left on hold forever and when I leave a message (if it allows me to), I seldom get a call back.
I did have to pay shipping back to them on the defective/leaking Brocock Pathfinder.
Also, their web site will show items in stock when they are (apparently) not. Even though I've called this to their attention several times in a phone call, the product that I wanted that is actually out of stock shows in stock and permits you to place your order and pay for it on their website. They've made no change to the stock status on that product on their website since I called it to their attention..
While I have had mixed experiences with AOA, many people that I speak to have very positive things to say, and it's common for only people with gripes to leave reviews, unfortunately, people who were very happy seldom write reviews.
------------------------
I bought a Huma regulator and gauge from Airguns of Arizona for my Benjamin Armada.
The order totaled over $200 and I was surprised to find that they didn't offer me free shipping, especially as a new customer.
There were no instructions included with the regulator and gauge.
When I called airguns of Arizona to ask if they had, any idea how to install this or anything that could guide me? They simply referred me to the Internet.
I guess I've been spoiled by Pyramid Air., who gives free shipping on orders over $150, free 2-day (sometimes 1 day) shipping.
I found the technical support and customer service at Pryamyd Air to be superior to any other similar business in the United States.
So it was a little disappointed in the policies and customer service, and no free shipping at Airguns of Arizona. They have no satisfaction guarantee. Even though they mention how thoroughly they check out a product before they ship it, I received my Pathfinder with a leak. It couldn't have been checked very thoroughly. read more
