I had a great experience with Genie Air Duct Cleaning. I initially submitted a request for chimney…read morecleaning, and although we ultimately didn't move forward with the service (the chimney requires repairs first, so cleaning wouldn't make sense yet), everything was explained clearly and thoroughly. I really appreciated the honesty and never once felt like I was being "sold" something. I also reached out about potentially scheduling a dryer vent cleaning with the chimney service. After taking a look, Elad confirmed that the dryer only has a short vent directly near the wall, allowing it to vent easily--so there was no need for service at this time. Overall, I truly appreciated Elad's honesty, professionalism, and kindness. I would absolutely recommend their services. 5 stars!

I just had City Heating & Air over at my house to look at some HVAC balancing and the gentleman was…read morehonest, straight forward and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He spent a lot of time explaining the airflow issues and options due to the long run. Beyond that, he took a look at the entire system after another company (major in Charlotte at that) advised I had a refrigerant leak. After his testing, he confirmed there was no leak and the system was performing as expected. He cleaned the outdoor unit and checked out the capacitor. He showed me everything he was doing so I understood the issue versus just writing up a random quote of things that were not needed. I only found City Heating and Air Conditioning based on a local community website, but I'm glad I did.

Salesman: Good guy, answered all my questions, worked hard for my business, continued to answer my questions, post install. Installation team: Very kind, respectable, friendly, efficient, and everything went smoothly. Financing: This is where I'm frustrated. Was we were finalizing details of the new system we got to payment and financing. I intended to pay half cash and finance the rest. I searched and learned that Trane (the brand I chose) had a promotion for 60 months 0% interest. This is a great deal. I asked about that deal and the Salesman, Shayne, talked to his boss. He came back and said they weren't partnered with Trane in that certain way so they couldn't offer that deal. Understandable. I accepted that. I was offered and accepted 15yrs @ 9.99%. I intend to pay this off much quicker. Almost 2 weeks later, I get a flyer in the mail from Arce(RC) offering those same exact terms, but through a different bank/partner. I felt cheated. I estimate I could've saved between $800 - $2500 on the life of this loan. That's REAL money. Shane went to his boss and his boss knew full well this promotion was going to drop soon, but couldn't offer me these same terms. I have OUTSTANDING credit. Do promos come and go? Yeah. But I don't buy that I couldn't have been offered this deal because of a date technicality. Again, objectively everything else in this process was great. But this made me feel more like a number and less like a valued customer. I would still recommend them for their workmanship, but be very cautious. Push for the strongest deal possible. Don't let them convince you they can't make a deal. They're lying.

He vacuumed out the dryer vent in the laundry room, but the dryer still displayed a "clogged" message. Jeffery said he needed to check the outside vent, as that might be blocked. He said he would be back the following day between 1-1:30pm. The next morning at 9:30am he called, said he had a cancellation and asked to come right over. I was in a doctor's office at the time and said that wouldn't work. Later that day, at the originally agreed time of 1pm, he texted with a questionable excuse and did not come. For the next three days we scheduled other appointments, but he did not show up. He began a pattern of texting hours later with various excuses and claiming he would "absolutely" come the next day. You can give someone a chance, once, twice, but we finally had to pay another company to get the job finished. We had a very frustrating experience with this business, and I do not recommend it.

Unresponsive, Unprofessional, and Abandoned Warranty Work - Avoid This Contractor…read more I hired H&C Heating and Cooling [Hector Perez] to install a complete new Goodman HVAC system for my home. The purchase included a 10-year parts warranty and a 2-year labor warranty, which was a primary reason I chose them. Our heating system failed completely within just 1.5 years, well within the warranty period. What followed was an unacceptable experience. Despite numerous calls and text messages, the contractor has been almost entirely unresponsive. After the initial breakdown left my family--including young children--in a very cold house, after many calls and text he came to check the issue once but provided no fix and no follow-up plan. My wife said he said he found the issue and will come back in the morning to replace the bad part. Since that visit, he has completely ignored all subsequent communication. This isn't just poor service; it's a breach of contract and a dereliction of his warranty obligation. He took our money for a premium system and installation, then abandoned us the moment his work proved faulty. We were left to suffer in a freezing home during cold weather, which is an absolute failure of a basic HVAC contractor's duty. Do not be misled by advertised warranties. This contractor does not stand behind his work. The lack of communication, professionalism, and basic concern for a family with small children is appalling. I am now forced to hire another company at significant additional expense to diagnose and repair what should have been a covered warranty claim. Save yourself the immense stress and financial risk--look elsewhere.
