Per usual, AC decided to stop working during long stretch of heat. We were not happy with company we'd been using, friend recommended ATS. Both techs that came out were knowledgeable, respectful, and just very easy to communicate with. They got my AC up and running, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Chris W and Riley. read more

A place that plays with time. why offer a job opportunity that someone then accepts- sends over important documents- told they are hired then company stops responding? no updates no communication. called multiple times, went in MULTIPLE TIMES to be sent away because no managers in office and told they'd reach out. They requested a background check for this hiring process which was done right away yet no response or communication from the company. left messages in person, text and called within these 2 weeks haven't had any response. They value customers who feed into the business yet don't value the time of others they are wasting hiring and then not following through. very disappointing read more

Regular AC PM Package - a yearly check on the 'health' of the heater and AC package at my residence in San DIego. Service Tech arrived on time, he explained what the service included and then he went about his business. He was respectful of the property. About a hour later the job was done. The system (orignally installed by ATS) is only three years old but it is a good feeling to know it is functioning according to specs. See you next year. read more

I had a very satisfying experience with Jeff from Air Temperature Specialists. Twice actually! A couple months ago, Jeff fixed our Central heating system which was not working at all. He did some tweaking of the Thermostat and replaced the filter and it was done. Quick and easy. Then, a few weeks ago our Central Air Conditioning was inoperative on an intermittent basis. When he came out to take a look at the problem, the AC was working just fine. Hard to fix when there is nothing wrong, right? So I explained in the best way I could with a not completely accurate description of how I evaluated the problem. Jeff was somehow able to take my story, fine tune it with a few questions to drill down on the root cause of the problem, and then had it fixed and tested within the hour. Still working like it is brand new today. Many kudos to Jeff on his skill and expertise, and also for his good natured and comfortable way of genuine and light hearted interaction. He made it a lot of fun. read more

Well I must shared my most recent experience with Air Temp, I had a new split unit installed and the lead tech Anthony did a very professional and efficient job! all areas were cleaned up and boxes disposed, this was done at a major hotel I maintain, I'm very pleased with my sales rep Sean and service manager Mike! All true professionals! read more

Travis J. (Jones) was my technician today and his service was A+++! He single handedly dragged a dinosaur of an AC unit, down the stairs of a two story apartment (it was definitely a two man job), and then down another two flights of stairs to the street. He was expected at 9:00 am, but came early (bonus) and even laid out two blankets to cover my carpeting (SUPER bonus, I'm the asian person where we do not wear shoes in the house Lol). The unit could not be replaced today (on order), but he was kind enough to leave his fan here for us to use in the meantime. He hooked it up to the air vents. He wore his mask and stayed at a distance. On top of his Covid game & I appreciated it. Thanks so much, Travis! You were so friendly & helpful :) read more

I really love working with the whole Air Temperature Specialists team! These are good people with excellent communication skills and are highly effective at what they do. They have helped me with multiple issues over the years and they have been able to do it at a fair price. Shout-out to Lupe, Bonny, Jose, Tommy, Mike, Chris, Brian, Christina, and the list goes on! Always reliable and a pleasure to work with. I recommend them to everyone I know. It's hard to find a good plumber/AC vendor who will do what they say they're going to do, and do it well! Thank you guys, you are definitely a class above the rest^_^ read more

They did no give me price before the work, Technician was knowledgeable and polite. read more

We had one of our employees restroom back up and I reached out to Air Temperature Specialists and was greeted by a young lady by the name Andrea. You could feel the smile and enthusiasm to help over the phone. She seemed to actually care and want to help us out to fix the issue. The next day a gentleman Jose showed up on time and was also eager to help. Jose was extremely professional and explained everything he was about to do and why. If you need honest, personal service at a great price, you found then here!!! read more

We had a weird sound coming from our ac unit. The housing company had called out numerous people to fix it, and after 3 months finally called air temperature specialists. They took our concern seriously, and did everything they could think of, including calling other team members to brainstorm and troubleshoot the problem. They told us if the sound comes back call them back and they WILL figure it out. They were friendly and professional. 10/10 would reccomend. read more

They installed our AC unit at the promenade rio vista. A week later it stopped working completely. We told them about it and they refused to do anything. Now we have been without AC for over a month. Today it is already 83 in here. I would stick with a more reliable and experienced company if you have an issue with your AC! read more

I had a poor experience with these guys. One of our office air conditioners stopped cooling so we called Air Temperature Specialists. A tech came by to diagnose - an $85 fee, and he overstated the problem and said it was going to be a very involved fix. He said I'd need to get a quote the following day The following morning, our office was getting hotter and hotter while I was getting jerked around about a quote from a sales manager. I was told 4 different times about when to expect some communication, and none of it was accurate. When the "sales manager" finally calls, he leaves a message about being out on service calls all day, and interrupts himself by burping on the voicemail. I got tired of their crap, and called another guy who told me when he'd be over, arrived on time, and fixed the actual issue within an hour. Their customer service people are nice, but everyone else treats you like crap. read more

We noticed some water on the floor of our garage and tracked it to the heat exchange. Knowing the next weekend was going to be a scorcher and that summertime is a busy time for HVAC companies anyway, we called right away. They were booked for the next 3 days. Day of the appointment arrived. David showed up during the designated window (with mask worn properly for those interested). He was friendly, courteous, and was willing to answer my barrage of dumb questions. We gave him the rundown on the problem. He had a few questions. We turned the system on to demonstrate the problem. He was able to determine what was going on right away. He gave us an estimate. Then he resolved a couple of problems and topped off the coolant. He also offered some suggestions to help prevent having the same issue in the future. The prices were similar to what I have paid other companies in the past. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for maintenance or repairs. read more

These guys deserve WAY more than 5 stars! We've been in a hot spell for the past few days (Escondido). At 8:00pm last evening (a Sunday night) we realized that the AC wasn't working and the house was slowly getting warmer. With the next two days predicted to be in the 100's again, we panicked and started calling AC repair companies for 24-hour emergency service. Odd thing though...even though their websites say 24/7 service, they either don't answer their phones, or tell you that their technicians are finished for the day. EXCEPT FOR AIR TEMPERATURE SPECIALISTS. I called 7 companies (including Bill Howe - and one of their technicians lives on my street, 2 minutes away from me) and Air Temperature Specialists were the only ones to answer and set up an emergency service call. In about an hour Shawn arrived, checked out our system and was able to determine the problem. He explained to my husband what had malfunctioned, replaced the part (which he had on his well-stocked truck) and the system was up and running again. Even after he had finished the repair he continued to check everything, making sure our filter was clean, checked the temp of the air coming out of the vents, and gave our system the thumbs up. Our AC/heating system was installed about 8 years ago, and the company we used has since retired from the business and sold their client list to another AC/heating/plumbing company. Although we loved the original company, the "new" guys left a lot to be desired - so we were left with no one to rely on in case of repairs. We've been lucky until now, and last night was an eye opener. I'm not sure what these companies think 24/ mean, but I'm pretty sure it should include Sundays at 8:00pm. In any case, we are thrilled to have discovered Air Temperature Specialists. With our AC/heating system creeping up in age I suppose this won't be the last time we need to repair it, but at least now we know who to call. We were very impressed with Shawn as well as the women we spoke to on the phone - fantastic job everyone, and many, many thanks! read more

Kudos to Air Temperature Specialists! Dave was very nice, very knowledgeable, and after a lot of runs too and from the HVAC on the roof and my condo, and then some help from one of his co-workers, he eventually got my heat back up and running. Did a good job for us including refunding a charge they made which was unreasonable, they refunded the charge after bringing it to their attention without hassle. They did a nice job installing a new heat pump unit in a condo we own and also quickly cleaned a stain on the carpet caused during the install. So, well done, would recommend them. read more

Air Temp Specialists made an after-hour exception in the hottest and most humid season San Diego has ever seen, because my fiancé has COPD and the AC air is literally his only relief. Tommy S was here right on time, despite rain and lightning, pinpointed the problem inside of 15 minutes, repaired it for a very fair price inside of another 15 minutes, tested our intake and output air, and was ridiculously friendly!! His dad even works for the same company! I would recommend this company to anyone in need and I have saved their info because they are the only HVAC company I will ever use again. read more

Air Temperature Specialists - You can't tell but that cold air coming out!!! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - El Cajon, California

I fully recommend this company. Christina and David knocked this project out of the park. It was a monstrous unit with 4 zones producing no heat. They figured out what was at issue and even found a specially made damper that came in a week earlier than projected. This has never happened before in the history of construction. Fact. They were here the day after the part came in early! My head is still spinning while I'm considerably less layered. The management of this company should be proud of the brilliant techs and wonderful staff in the office who went out of their way to make this experience fantastic. read more

I was referred to the Air Temp folks to help replace a 70s A/C unit in a condo I had purchased in Bankers Hill The home inspector summed it up when he said time to replace the unit based on whats left of its potential useful life. I called some of the biggest names in the industry who specialize in such sales and installations of such systems. Even so nobody wanted to do anything but service and sell fast and furious. Enter Mike Poe service manager who came recommended by a fellow homeowner in the building. First feather in his cap he had worked in the building before and knew his way around the complicated dated facility. He was highly familiar with the obstacles in my building both logistical and political with HOA boards and helping to cut through the red tape. As well as work towards solutions to meet my desired outcome which was equal cooling/heating in every room not just leave it as is where it happened to work in only some of the rooms. The bedroom and office was a hot house even on the coldest setting More importantly not only did he give me a highly competitive bid without having to negotiate it further but came up with a solution brainstorming how to overcome my buildings awful lack of interior ducting to help cut unnecessary added additional expense to something that was already expensive which solved the problem I purchased a brand new Carrier AC & Heating Unit Mike took it on board like he was going to live there with his family and everything coming out right mattered. But the best thing about Mike was his immediate hands on approach to answering calls or texts right away himself even during his busy work day.A rarity in these times from any business professional I know I highly challenged him on a number of occasions however he never stopped coming up with solutions that almost every competitor had no interest in taking the extra time to solve the pre existing conditions which i inherited when I bought the unit. My outcome was spectacular with what was possible to achieve based on my buildings limitations They are my go to guys going forward. My sincere thanks to the entire team for taking every last detail to full fruition.A very happy customer read more

We use Air Temp for all of our apartment communities and they are amazing! We appreciate how easy it is to schedule for service and/or installations. Christina and Anthony came out to to our preventive service on our AC's at our property and I cant say enough nice things about them. It was my first time meeting Anthony but he was full of spunk and very communicative with everything going on. She has to deal with my horribly installed AC in my personal unit on property. Hence the 1 star (if possible ZERO).... I believe Yelp is meant for people to give reviews so that it may or may not deter and / or give people business. I will allow the ONE star, though.... the detailed information that was given in regards to my call was quite impressive. What I'm wondering is: 1.) Why did a call back not transpire.... it's apparent your company had my number. 2.)If that's NOT a dispatcher DO NOT instruct possible consumers to press what your company wants your possible consumers to press to receive the assistance that we (consumers)have called for!! 3.)I believe your "dispatcher" LIED to you. What you've stated transpired is not at all true. If you're able to listen to calls then you'll hear, I had to give my information in such a way, that it makes more sense to go through a drive thru ATM that has braille on it! I had to speak soooooooo slow, a dag gone snail & turtle got service elsewhere AND I was on the phone before they were!!! And lastly.... 4.)I don't think you should chastise a consumer for saying how they felt about the business & people they had to deal with. You see, my review must have bothered you soooooooo much that YOU as a "Professional" Company had to respond to my review TWICE!! AND you literally went through ALLLLLL my reviews just to make a statement on my OPINION!!! Grow up... hire better dispatchers, if need be. The instructions your business gave to receive business is exactly what I did. It might be a hard thing to do. ... but sometimes you have to tell your Abuelita that this may not be the job for her. Tamales & menudo... or do you have a business like so already? I can pretty much guarantee you'll respond back. Have a good night, I promise I won't lose any sleep over this. read more

I serve on the Board of Directors for my condo complex. We needed a new commercial hot water heater. We received several bids from plumbers including the company that has serviced our building for many years and received A LOT of business from us over the years. When I called Elias from Air Temperature Specialists, he was professional and prompt- I had a bid from him the SAME DAY!! He quickly arrived at the complex and inspected the hot water heater and within a few hours later, I had the bid in my email.
