The servers might not know your name, but I've never had a server that wasn't helpful and nice. Parking can be busy, but never difficult. So now the food. I've eaten here a lot over the years and I've never had a bad meal. The garlic fries are awesome and everything from burgers to salads and tacos, delicious. My sole complaint, some burgers are so tall it's impossible to eat them like a regular burger. So, this spot is a solid 5/5. Not crazy expensive, nice staff, good food, easy in and out. Give it a try.

    *Tony the Burger Tiger*…read more In case you didn't know, Tony used to be the chef at Grill-A-Burger in Palm Desert...then 14 years ago, Antonio followed his dream & ambition to open up his own burger joint. Tho I haven't dined here before, I've made my presence known, and previously checked out the place to inquire ~~ more than once. I was blown away when Edgar remembered me...and thanked me & wifey for finally coming in for a little late-night dinner/snack. Wifey was craving onion rings...so whatever she wants she gets ~~ with limits that is ;) Since her favorite onion rings are 130 miles away in LA (Culver City) at Johnnie's Pastrami, we've been searching for a good back-up. Heard & read a lot of great things about their beer battered onion rings. We were not disappointed. Make sure to splurge and spend the extra 2 bucks for a full order instead of a half. Wifey enjoyed her mini burger...and it was the perfect size. The bun was fresh and held up well, which is always important. I went off the board and wanted just a simple plain burger patty, because I wasn't too hungry. But that's one of the best ways to judge quality. No bells no whistles. Just the beef...and a knife & fork. Like a good steak. It was tender & juicy and I was a very happy camper. h2O was all we needed on this night...and refills were fulfilled voluntarily. As expected, Edgar provided excellent customer service...and we all shared some playful banter throughout our dining experience. Tony's Burgers is a very chill & cozy place. It's darkly lit. There's lots of booths to sit comfortably...and lots of flatscreen tvs on the walls showing sports. There's a large bar area too with stools. I can see why this place is so popular with the locals. Looking forward to our next visit. {{{Big~High~5}}}

    While in the Palm Springs area for a 5 day visit with my wife and my mother-in-law, I made it a…read morepoint to visit a couple of Filipino restaurants. With a recent expansion to their space in Cathedral City, this location has become a gathering place for Filipinos in the Coachella Valley area. Thus we went out of our way to find this place for dinner. I found it to be mixed, and can't really recommend their food. It's a nice space inside, with a fast casual setup (order and pay first, and the food is brought to you when ready). It wasn't particularly friendly when we first arrived to the empty restaurant, but it got better as we ordered and ate. Cheesesteak Philly Style ($15.99) and Apong's Special Philly Style ($16.99). They come with fries, with an upcharge of $1 for cheese. Both had grilled mushrooms and onions mixed with the chopped steak. The Apong's special adds both cheese whiz and american cheese to the standard provolone. Both are served on Amoroso rolls from Philadelphia, which is genuine, but not particularly fresh when brought in daily. (the rolls tasted a bit stale to me). The amount of meat given could induce a hungry person to order a double portion as well, though it was just right this day. I definitely like my cheese steak with cheese whiz, and this version confirmed that (though if not offered, a good dallop of mayo is good as well, mixed with the melted provolone). Strangely, the showstring fries were the most disappointing part of the meal for me...fries can be good if the right effort is made, but that wasn't the case here. They had been deep fried a while before, and had been sitting in a warmer until served to us...thus were dried out and pretty flavorless. With what we ordered, a new batch of freshly made fries would have gone a long way to put us in a good mood, especially for dine-in. Chicken Mami Soup ($14.99) - a large bowl of chicken soup. For this price, would have hoped for something more homemade. The broth was fine, but seemed to be made from either canned chicken broth (benefit of doubt) or more likely chicken powder. Also used dried spaghetti noodles, which is not something I seek out. It did have pieces of white meat (breast) and fresh chopped vegetables like cabbage and carrots. Tasted fine, but wasn't particularly hearty. Reminded me very much of saiman, except for the price. Halo-Halo ($14.99) - it was good. Few beans (which is often used as filler), but instead large pieces of sweet plantains. It also had plenty of condensed milk and two large scoops of ice cream (both ube and vanilla). Used crushed ice, instead of shaved, which does make a big difference in consistency, but understand it's harder to do since time consuming. Apong means grandmother in Ilicano, which is the third most spoken native language in the Philippines, after Tagalog and Cebuano. The owners and workers seemed to be originally from that region; and it's really nice to use such a nice term of endearment for their endeavor.

FACILITY: Small, limited seating indoors with very nice, fun, outdoor seating areas. Love this place. MENU: Simple, easy to understand, great photos online if you have any questions. FOOD PREP: Very well done, like professional in just how it looks. FOOD QUALITY: Professional in how it also tastes... Watermelon Gazpacho was perfect with drinks prior to main. LIBATIONS: drinks and bartender were excellent, fun, and the photo print was very cool. WAITSTAFF: just so nice, and fun making the experience all that much better. We have been enjoying The Plaza Theater so spending a little more time in Palm Springs and this will be one of our favorites places to relax prior to an event. OVERALL VALUE: Good, but it is Palm Springs, outdoors, great locations, classy.. no, not inexpensive but well worth it. TIP: I'd say be nice, be patient, and you will get a table. Don't be an angry rude touron, we don't need that vibe and we see some of that in PS.. You can try for reservations, not sure if they take off season.

Why it is not on Michelin guide or recommended is beyond my comprehension! Every time we visit PS, we try to get a table here. The menu is changing every 3 month or so. For $69, we have amuse bouche, free bread sticks, appetizer, main dish and a dessert. The portion is generous! For amuse-bouche, we had quiche and bacon on top. It is not the usual bacon. It tasted like Vietnamese beef jerky... quite a surpise! For appetizer, we had gazpacho and beet salad. Both are very refreshing and perfect for summer time. For main dish, steak and chillean seabass. For desserts, we had tiramisu and cheese cake. Everything is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I have not had one bad dish here!

Basic French flavors, nothing wow. Our favorite thing from the order was the Brie charcuterie with pear slices, figs and hazelnuts. Ambiance was very relaxing and family-vibes. Service was great but a lil slow.
