I left a message for Fernando and he got back to me within 24 hours to schedule a visit for an estimate. The day before his scheduled visit he had an opening in his day and was nearby - he called and was at our front door within 10 minutes! Unfortunately, we never reached an estimate from him because our job will be a much larger undertaking (new AC, adding/replacing ducting, new furnace) than he is currently equipped for as he is short staffed. I appreciated his honesty!!! He also took the time to walk us through some options at varying price points. He offered us a reference and offered for us to check in with him about estimates we may receive from other companies. We had lots of questions and he kindly answered all of them. Fernando, thank you for taking your time! We wish you well in your business!!!! read more

My Furnace doesn't give me hot air, so I found Fernando here. Fernando answered my phone this morning, and he arrived on time. It turns out I only need to change my filter, and he made sure my unit is good, he is really honest and he doesn't over charge me. He waited until my unit work properly then leave. I appreciate his honesty and his attitude, I highly recommend him to do your service! read more

Great job! We live in WC. We had a string of 3 100 degree days in a row. Our 17 year old AC unit went out- the fan unit would not spin. The next morning I called a few AC companies. It was a very busy time at the beginning of a very hot spell with quite a few days for an appointment. Then I called Fernando at Air on Demand. He diagnosed our AC unit issue over the phone as our most probable cause. And then he fit us in that same evening. He fixed the blown capacitor right away and viola- it worked great. Fair price and expectation. Thanks Fernando! I'll use his company next time as well. read more

Fernando responded right away to my request to help me to install a new smart thermostat, that I was trying to wire using my own skills. It happened that right after scheduling that service with Air on Demand, I have managed to get that thermostat installed by myself. No frustration on his side for that "lost business". Fernando's reply was: "Glad that you were able to get it done". I'm sure with this nice business attitude, his company will grow and stay busy. read more

Highly recommend! Fernando, the owner, and his associates are extremely helpful and friendly. Fernando is very communicative and is willing to come and help as soon as he can. Both times I've had issues with the AC unit, him or his brother, Gino were here later that evening. The first time was a Freon issue and the second time the fan motor had to be replaced. Both times, Fernando fixed the problem within and hr or two. read more

Fernando again saved the day for me! As usual, he was prompt, professional and solved my problem. My AC is working now, and I think only he could have fixed this problem as it was very difficult to determine what was wrong with my AC. And, his prices are very reasonable. Great Resource! read more

Fernando and team did a great job. Everything was exactly as you would want: efficient, organized, great communication, reliable, and respectful of privacy and safety, which is especially important during this pandemic. As with all jobs, there were unexpected snags, but Fernando quickly figured things out, often without the need for additional expense, and nothing was delayed. I got multiple quotes for the work, and Air On Demand was similar to the others. I would not hesitate to call them again. read more

My 22yr old furnace started acting up after I treated myself to 2 fancy WiFi thermostats for Christmas. After A LOT of reading, Googling, and YouTube-ing, symptoms were pointing to either a bad motor, pressure switch, or control board. That's when I decided to turn to Yelp to find HVAC help. Air on Demand had the best response record. So at 11pm I shot off a quote request (thru Yelp - a feature I didn't know existed) At approximately 5am I received a response from Fernando saying it's too early to call and he'd call later to schedule a visit. I heard back from him around 930a, and he set an appt for later at 230p. He was punctual, listened to the troubleshooting I had already done, performed a few tests of his own and declared the control board the issue. He also laid out approximate costs for a "generic" board versus OEM, viability of repair efforts based on age of unit, and what full replacement would cost. Since he found a temporary workaround, I elected to pay for his diagnostic visit and go it alone (more confident after picking his brain on all matters HVAC) Even tho I did not contract Fernando for actual repairs, his response time, communication, expertise, and friendly straight forward demeanor more than deserves 5 stars! If my DIY skills end up failing, I'll be calling Fernando back for help. read more

Fernando came over as discussed and performed the work at our home. He replaced the capacitor and taped the flexi line which housed the electrical wire. My review is only for the above work not sure how his service would be for bigger jobs like replacing the entire system etc. read more

Our A/C fan stopped working at the worst possible time, on a 100 degree day (6/29/2013)! Fernando happened to be in our area, but was otherwise swamped with calls due to the heat wave. We got lucky and he stopped by within 20 minutes of our call on a Saturday morning. He diagnosed our problem immediately. The capacitor was out, and that seems to be a fairly typical issue. He had the part in his van, and our A/C was back up and running in minutes. Fernando is a very friendly, polite, and well-spoken guy. He seems to really care about helping people. He took the time to educate us a bit on the basics, and ran a few additional tests just to make sure everything else was working properly. The price was very fair, especially because he lived up to the name in our case - "Air On Demand!" Fantastic experience. Thanks Fernando! read more

I didn't get a chance to work with the owner but he is bery honest. I called to see if he could work on my a/c unit and he informed me over the telephone that he doesn't work on heat pumps. He could've came out and charged for a diagnostic but he was upfront to suggest contacting larger companies with the resources. read more

What a life saver! A/C was not working, called Fernando late in the day when it was well over 100 degrees, and he made time to come over after hours. He stayed into the darkness and fixed my A/C. Friendly, professional, very reasonable rates...THANK YOU FERNANDO!! read more

I called Air on Demand last night around 6.30 pm expecting a voice mail on hours and possible availability. Instead, Fernando answered the call and said that he could come by to look at our non-working heater later that night if we wanted (which we did, as the outside temperature was dropping into the 30's). He arrived on time, climbed into the crawl space and inspected the machine. Unfortunately, the unit is an electric one and he doesn't service them. He didn't charge us for the call. Great guy, will gladly call him for service on our AC unit if we ever need it. read more

Fernando is terrific! We have used his company in the past and were very happy with his work. We were having a problem with water leaking from the AC and although he was slammed with work, he took the time to walk us through trying to fix the issue. His advice worked and our AC is back up and running! Could not have done it without him! This is an honest, professional company and we highly recommend using them! read more

I just had one of the best customer service experiences I could have asked for. On New Year's Day we decided to install a WiFi thermostat- as soon as we installed, we could not turn on our heater. Knowing we're in winter time, I panicked and reached out to Air on Demand. Within 30 minutes (on a holiday mind you) I had heard back from Fernando who walked me through a trouble shooting process and helped me figure out what was going on. Long story short we blew a fuse and I was able to go to the store and fix the issue. I am so thankful to have my heat back on so quickly and so thankful for a quick and thorough response. If I could give extra starts I would. Thank you so much Fernando! read more

Our A/C went out yesterday, June 8, 2013 - a day that made the record books for unbelievable heat. I made several calls to highly -rated businesses. Who was the first to respond? Fernando! He showed up a half hour or so after I called (at 6pm on a Saturday night!) and fixed the problem within the hour. Fernando is honest, clearly a hard worker and charges a fair price. We can't recommend him highly enough! We are thrilled with his work and you will be too! read more

I called Fernando this morning and he was able to come out an hour later to check on my furnace. I wanted him to do a general maintenance check and to also fix some issues my home inspector found. We noticed the house was not getting as warm as it did last year. Upon general inspection we found that the furnace was turning off and on after a few minutes. Fernando ran some tests and ended up cleaning the flame sensor which improved the situation a bit. It would run for at least 10 minutes longer before shutting off, but the issue persisted. The great part about Fernando's service is he talked me through what he was doing and ended up telling me he was unsure of what could be causing the issue and I might want to get a second opinion. I really appreciate honesty like this in a repair tech and wanted to give Fernando big kudos for this. I know some techs might try to guess at what the problem is and replace expensive parts in trial and error. He also did not charge me for the visit even though he fixed some minor issues on my inspector list and spent over an hour troubleshooting. One other positive was Fernando used shoe covers! It may not seem like a big deal, but it is an absolute must for our household. read more

Fernando is a LIFE-SAVER. So knowledgeable, efficient, and patient. Our heater just broke and of course its just now starting to get cold. What timing! Fernando attempted to fix our current unit before recommending replacement. He got it working for a couple days, but it simply needed to be replaced. He understood the urgency of the situation (given the cold) and switched his schedule around to make time SAME DAY to come out and fix our unit. If he sets an appointment with you, he will keep it. Very dependable! He is trustworthy, all the while with competitive pricing. He takes the time to communicate his knowledge in laymen terms and ensures perfect working condition by running tests before he leaves. He is also concerned about your safety. Also, he and his team are very conscientious - he left our house spotless. We couldn't be more pleased and relieved. He really saved the day. Please give him a call. You will not be disappointed! read more

Fernando is a very nice and professional HVAC contractor. He was honest and down to earth from the beginning. He asked me what my goals were for our complete replacement and made a recommendation that fit my needs. His pricing is great and work was ever greater. He helped throughout the whole process including inspections and air duct pressure test. He even came out months later to verify the unit was heating and cooling efficiently. I would highly recommend him and his business. Thank you very much Fernando. I hope to give you many referrals. read more

Great all around experience! I had called other companies, however they did not get back to me or were not very helpful. When I received a call from Fernando, it was great customer service from the start. He was able to get to me at night on the same day. It was lucky that he was already in the same area working. He not only fixed the AC, but spent time going over how to better care for my unit. How to clean it and change the filter as well as what filter to buy. As a new homeowner, I had no idea how often I needed to change the filter and it was what ultimately caused it to fail. As long as I live in the area, he will be my contact for items he works on. I would recommend him to my family and friends. read more

We just got a check-up and Fernando was extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to help me understand what we needed to do to keep things in good working condition and even told me what I could complete myself. Fernando came out to the house in one hour on the hottest day of the year. Very fair pricing and we were back with cool air in 45 minutes. This was a no brainier, call Air on Demand read more

Spectacular service! I was really impressed. Not only did they show up within an hour or so of calling (didn't even expect that), but they walked me through the diagnosis work they'd perform and commented on typical failure points with a 20 year old furnace. They diagnosed the issue, clearly explained the parts that would need to be replaced, and made sure I was comfortable with the cost estimate before proceeding. They even went so far as to procure the part by 6pm the same day so that they could return around 7:30pm and ensure my family had heat for the evening. Amazing service. Highly recommended. read more

Fernando is AWESOME! Not only are his prices VERY reasonable but his schedule is flexible enough to work with you on weekends and after business hours. He's honest, reliable, professional, and definitely not out to cheat you. Our AC dumped on us on a Friday so we found him on Yelp, gave him a call, and he came over the very next morning to check it out for us. He said that our AC unit was old but if we couldn't afford to replace it, all we had to do was replace the motor and air filter. This would keep us going for a little while until we can afford to upgrade the entire unit. He also suggested we save some money by recommending that we clean out some of the parts ourselves rather than paying him to do it for us. He then proceeded to shop for a new motor for us and went out of his way to come over after hours on Monday to install it for us. He tested our new AC motor extensively and made sure it was working properly before he left. He also gave us a 1-year warranty for the motor. In the end, we saved quite a bit of money with him because he gave us a great deal on some of the services he provided. My hubby and I are VERY, VERY pleased with Fernando and we highly recommend him to anyone in the Concord area. Give him a call if you need your HVAC looked at. You will NOT be disappointed! :-) read more

Thank you Fernando! The furnace stopped working a few days ago and after several calls to other contractors listed here, he was the only one who called us back. Same day service, less than $100 for the visit and diagnosis. No pushy sales, just great service. He located a bad part, had the spare and fixed it on the spot. I would check with him first when looking for AS GOOD AS IT GETS. read more

Fernando was fantastic! Of all the HVAC I called, not only was the only one to respond, but instead of scheduling something later in the week he came the same day. He had excellent customer service, fix the problem very quickly, and gave very good advice regarding the AC unit. I highly recommend using air on demand. read more

My first time needing an air conditioner repair since moving to Concord, I didn't know who to call. Based on excellent Yelp reviews I made some calls and requested quotes. Most came back with "sorry, there's a two week wait for an appointment" with no suggestions or offers to get back to me if someone canceled. When the temps are hitting well over 100 every day and pets in the house, that's scary! Fernando finished another job early and had me up and running again within two hours of my call. He is a total professional and has earned my trust. I now have an HVAC repairman that I know I can turn to which is a great relief as our summers get longer and hotter! read more

Fernando and his team are extremely professional, honest, knowledgeable and courteous. He installed a AC unit (our home didn't have central AC prior) and a new furnace in our home. He went above and beyond to ensure the job was done the right way... not the fast way. I highly recommend Air on Demand and would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Doing business with Fernando was a pleasure. He called me back the same day, and went out to our rental property the next day, and repaired our tenants Furnace for a reasonable cost. He was very professional and very nice and polite. He operates a small company and does most of the work himself. He's a great example of pride in his work as an owner operator. read more

Like many, I sought a repair contractor who wouldn't try to sell a new system (like the proverbial dentist who tells you "...all your filings need to be replaced"). After scouring hundreds of Yelp reviews, I found my guy in Fernando. Reliable. Efficient. Smart as a whip. Sincere and honest. "A little of this; a little of that," and that's all there was to it. And better yet; he found a breaker problem and explained how an electrician (not him) would fix it, before my house burns down. Wonderful.!! Check it out with Fernando first, before thinking of buying a new system. read more

Fernando is an incredible person. He called me immediately after I sent my message on Yelp. He confirmed what I believe which was wrong, a defective capacitor, and said that given my background. I could change it which I did. I will not forget this helpful gesture and when I do upgrade the entire system on my house I will be only calling him. Honesty, Integrity and High Customer Service, Fernando showed them all. read more

Fernando was able to come out the same day we called and resolved our problem quickly, efficiently, and at an extremely reasonable price. I would recommend Fernando and Air on Demand to anyone looking for HVAC work. read more

This review is long overdue. It was mid winter when my heater just stopped working. After replacing the batteries in the thermostat, I realized I needed help asap. It was Sunday of a holiday weekend so I was thinking the earliest available appointment would be Tuesday. I turned to Yelp and sent out a request for service to all HVAC Techs in the east bay. A few hours later Fernando messaged, followed up with a phone call, and Scheduled an appointment for the following day. He arrived, had all required parts and completed the necessary repairs. He even returned at a later date to fix an unrelated but not up to code repair free of charge! Highly recommended!! read more
