Caribbean Roll prepared Maki style with rice instead of rice paper. This is just half of the roll.

Pro Tip discovered this evening. We frequently get an Ahi Tower to go to share (we're, like, old and stuff). Tonight we asked if we might order extra tuna for whatever the up-charge might be. "Sure!, no problem". Wow, this really makes the dish sing! Just three bucks more. Try it!

The Beat place in DFW area, I have found for sushi. Great staff, great food, the presentation of the food is amazing. Highly recommend this place.

Since they're right around the corner, we had to check it out. The service was excellent. Even when ordering takeout, the hostess offered water while I waited. We ordered the sushi & sashimi combo plus a Rattle Snake roll. Most of the sashimi were good; however, the slices were cut on the smaller side and the tuna was a bit fishy. The roll was excellent, completely satisfied my eel craving. Overall a pretty nice sushi spot, good for quick, weeknight sushi cravings!

I am always a huge fan of sushi restaurants with any riceless rolls, let alone a selection. The ahoyama and butterfly rolls were very tasty but the plating left a little to be desired. They were all very uneven and the ayohama came rather messy and fell apart more once I touched it. The price point would have been average for the quality if there was a little more care taken to presentation. Staff was very attentive and knew just when to stop by. The music choice was an eclectic early 2000s playlist that had me laughing and in a fun mood.

My friend invited me out to dinner and so I was curious if it live up to the hype. I would consider this place pretty good. Everything tasted pretty fresh, but I wasn't completely blown away. I'm definitely a sushi fanatic so I'm picky than most.

Hawaiian Roll $13.95 Spicy tuna roll topped with albacore tuna, avocado & crunch onion.

First time at Ahoyama and I like the interior design with some outdoor seating options and easy dedicated parking lot. Lighting is nice and they have a full sake menu, noise level is low and I'm pretty sure we listed to 1/2 the Backstreet Boys CD while dining so it's a calm environment. Service is swift. For the food the Miso Soup is pleasant and only $1.50, i'll probably try the edamame over the soup if I return. The Yaki Soba was sugar and cinnamon sweet- we couldn't eat it. You can taste sugar but the beef had another flavor all together and was chewy. We've been to several Japanese restaurants in the US and Japan, never ever have I ever had sweet Yaki- terrible do not recommend. Ok so the rolls: The Baja Fresh roll was ok but over all didn't work and and I wouldn't call imitation crab "fresh". I liked the combo of mango and jalapeño but when mixed with tomato and red onion it was like a crabmeat roll in wanna be Tex-Mex chunky mango salsa. Pretty for a picture but I wouldn't recommend for sushi. The Hawaiian Roll was the best of the bunch. Fish was nice and the crunch onion added texture. There was definitely a light sauce added so I didn't have the desire to dip in soy or add anything. Be advised the inside of the roll is not a piece of tuna but minced ground tuna- that's not what the menu says so if you don't like negitoro texture this won't be for you. The Spicy Crunch Roll was good and served warm which can throw some people off. It wasn't spicy but the flavors and crunch were fine. Food is 3 stars, but the atmosphere, plating, cleanliness and attentive service earns another star.

Skinny 61. Carribean Roll

I have been coming here for 15 years! It's so delicious! Kim is so personal and remembers everyone! I told her once I love the Caribbean roll but it was too wide for one bite. Next time I came in, she made it skinnier, which also gave more pieces! Great service every single time! And they serve KJ wines! Happy to have it in our neighborhood!!

We've been going here for 10+ years and have never been disappointed. Service is fantastic for both take out and dine in, and the food is amazing. Favorite sushi restaurant by far - pic is the out of this world ahi tower.

Yellow tail heaven.. slightly deconstructed

Yellow tail heaven is Heaven! Went two days in a row and tonight I asked for thinner cut jalapeños and they accommodated me perfectly. The whole staff is professional and kind. The vibes are chill and the bar seating is my preference. I'm actually coming back tomorrow with some friends so day 3 sushi! It's on! Thank you to the staff.

It's located in Hurst in a little strip mall that's mostly empty but you can see the concentration of business and cars in the corner on the side where this restaurant is, when we first walked in we both noticed a bit of a strange smell like I would describe as mildew and I think that's because they were running two portable air conditioner units inside so I don't think this is something that's on the regular and after we sat down neither of us noticed it again. As we walked in I also noticed That this place has a nice little cozy feel to it with some interesting decor, beautiful paintings on the wall and kind of an old school feel which I enjoy, there's an upstairs section that's pretty cool looking also where you can have private events or family style gatherings. Right off the bat the service was very friendly and attentive, we ordered two appetizers the shrimp Yakitori and an order of the pork and vegetable egg rolls both appetizers were fresh and delicious, I also had upon the servers recommendation their honey lemon ice tea which was very good. For our entrees My girlfriend ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi, our food came out in a timely manner and was fresh and hot. The portion size was very good and I was happy to see the ratio of meat to vegetable was about 90% meat to 10% vegetable which is what I expect in a bulgogi. Overall I really liked this place and if I'm in Hurst I wouldn't hesitate to drop back in for some more delicious Korean food at Yori! P.s. No table grills just FYI

NOOOOO! I want to find something good to eat in this Colleyville strip, but this is not it…read more To start, the service felt rushed from the moment we sat down. While efficiency is appreciated, this crossed into uncomfortable territory -- minutes after ordering, the food was on our table. While speed can be a good thing, it raised red flags in this case. Additionally, we asked the waitress a few standard questions like "what is most popular," and she said, "maybe sushi or hibachi," not the most helpful, seeing the name is Hibachi Sushi, so I tried again, seeing they have Sea Bass. I asked if she would recommend Sea Bass, and she again said yes, or chicken or beef. I guess we're reading the menu together today. It was rough, but we settled on two hibachi dishes from a standard table and not surrounding the hibachi cook. The food itself confirmed our time concerns. The quick turnaround meant the dishes lacked freshness. The sea bass in particular was disappointing -- overcooked and rubbery, with no delicate texture you'd expect from a quality fish cut. It tasted more like it had been reheated than freshly prepared. Other items followed suit, feeling hastily assembled rather than thoughtfully cooked. The sauce, texture, and everything else were a miss. Overall, the experience felt more like a race than a meal. Hibachi dining usually delivers on the fresh-off-the-grill flavor. Sadly, this visit missed all of those marks. If you're looking for a date night dinning for about $70 (without drinks or tip) but also need to be in and out in 30 minutes, with feelings of disappointment this is your stop. Recommend staff training for the waiters that interface with customers but also, and more importantly, someone that works there needs to eat what the customers are being served. This food is terrible and in need of quality assurance measures.

I was sat quickly at the bar, and then seemed to be forgotten about. I did wait a while before a man came to me to take my drink order, and then things progressed quickly. Though everyone who ended up being sat after me were immediately taken care of. I ordered the sushi and sashimi bento box. I sat at the sushi bar so I was able to watch how things were prepared. Everything comes out quickly, as all of the proteins are pre sliced and ready to go. They were busy and the turn around is quick. They also do a lot of to go orders, and those were stacked up by the front door. I thought the quality of the fish was good for the price. I really liked the ginger dressing that comes on the salad, though it is a wild color. The gyoza just tasted like frozen dumplings you can buy at the store, and then deep fried. But they were good. The rice was cooked properly, and not mushy at all. The only thing I didn't care for was the California roll. It was super goopy and just tasted like mayo. I had to leave that alone. The atmosphere is very noisy and if you are sitting at the sushi bar, you hear the constant beeping of their order machine. I may try them again for dinner if it is a bit quieter, or takout seems like a good option, though there is no online ordering on their website.

We love sushi and ramen/asian type food. Well, this place was a HUGE disappointment. My husband ordered the beef ramen. The broth tasted off and the beef had no flavor and was WAY overcooked and rubbery. He had one bite/sip of all of it and was done. My son had the sushi. You can see how much he ate of it. The inside of one of the rolls was hard (shrimp) and the meat on the other one was not cooked right and tasted horrible. The worst part is that the employees could care less. One of them came over and asked if we wanted our ramen to go when clearly it hadn't been eaten. I said, "no thank you. My husband didn't like it." He just turned around and walked off. Then when the bill came a different server came over and asked if we wanted to go boxes. We said no, we didn't like any of the food. He looked puzzled, said nothing, and walked away waiting for us to pay. We did not want our meal for free but would've appreciated someone asking if we even liked the food since clearly we didn't eat it. But no, we payed our $100 and left. And we will never be back.

We had a reservation, which I'd definitely recommend because it gets busy especially on a Friday and parking is limited. Once we were seated, the server gave us a nice rundown of the menu. We started with the hand rolls, the Masu Tartare and Toro Tartare and both were delicious. I personally loved the Masu more, but you really can't go wrong with either. We also ordered calamari, which arrived a bit later. It was okay, nothing spectacular, not as crispy as I hoped but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. For sushi, I had the Spicy Atlantic Salmon and the Kani Koi. I absolutely loved the Spicy Atlantic Salmon...it was definitely a favorite but my fiancé preferred the Kanikoi, so everyone wins. We also tried the Kamasu - Barracuda, which was just as delicious. Overall, everything was perfect, and I can't wait to come back to try more hand rolls and a few other dishes.

I am a Sushi novice to say the least, but my grandson and daughter wanted to introduce me to his new favorite restaurant, he's 15 so I had to see what he was raving about! The only reason I gave 4 stars is, cuz I am not educated on all things sushi and the extensive menu didn't really break down what each category really meant, the place was packed so clearly it's a newbie issue. I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem. I will be going back once I learn more! I enjoyed my food, the Tempura Shrimp roll, we also really liked the smoked salmon roll, the crab rangoon, and shrimp fried rice, all was delicious!
