Amazing place, been coming here for years and always happy with the quality and service!

If you know me, I don't like raw but I came here because my boyfriend does. What I like about this place is that they have non-raw items on their menu!! I got the grilled salmon with half rice, half salad w/ house spicy, spicy cream, and garlic sauce. I love the fact that you can add additional toppings such as imitated crab meat, seaweed, edamame, fried onions, etc. I was a little skeptical coming in but wow, their service is on point and their portions are huge! I will definitely be back when I'm craving something on the healthier side as it really affordable! Pro tip: get half rice, half salad. I found that their half/half are much larger! Ahipoke exceeded my expectations. Despite some of the bad reviews I've read on Yelp, based on my experience it was very pleasant. Ted, had great customer service. He had a sense of urgency, friendly, and was very helpful. The food was fresh and flavorful. Portions size was very generous. There's also a ton of parking. It's a great choice to pick up especially for a hot summer night when you just want something fresh. If you're looking for a quick poke fix, I'd recommend ahi poke! read more

I've now been to this location a handful of times and am disappointed time after time. When will I learn my lesson? It's one of the pricier poke joints as they charge $1 for yellowtail and portions are smaller in comparison. While the portions are smaller than competitors, they are consistently frugal with their sauces. I'm the girl that always orders her pizza with light sauce, who asks for less pasta sauce and yet ahipoki never seem to give enough of theirs. Super underwhelmed. I asked for 2 sauces but couldn't really see how much she put, but my bowl ended up sooooo bland... very very little sauce. I also asked for crabmeat, to which she repeated back to me. But when I get home and open my bowl... no crab meat. Their masago was a clear/white color? This is a solid poki spot and my go to in the 626. Reasons? 1) it's close 2) consistent 3) quick and easy 4) healthy My favorite thing to get here is the grilled salmon bowl with a salad base. I find when it comes to poki bowls I prefer it over a salad than rice. I also add on a scoop of Spicy Tuna and Blazin' Salmon. The house spicy sauce is really good, not too spicy but enough to add a little zing to your bowl and the add ons are pretty typical, edemame, ginger, avocado, sprouts, masago, pineapple, etc. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick meal to pick up on your way home or to order ahead of time. It's healthy and pairing that with their miso soup is a great way to stay warm and fit in this weather. read more

Came here on a Friday night a few weeks back for to go order. I got 3 regulars. I had the salad with tuna luau and salmon and a little bit of everything toppings minus jalapeno, house sauce. Fish was fresh and the poke salad was tasty. I liked the tuna luau taste. But what I was most dissatisfied was that the girl behind the counter gave the customer right before me so many scoops of fish. He ordered a large which should have been 3 scoops but I saw her give at least 6 scoops of fish. How come that customer got special service but paid the same price. I only got the 2 scoops of fish per order. SMH Parking can be difficult. It's a big plaza but there are a lot of stores and restaurants. Took me like 10 minutes to find a parking spot. read more

Ahipoki has been one of my favorite poke spots in the area but they've just become my go-to spot. I've ordered delivery a couple of times since the pandemic started and they do not disappoint. One of the main things I look for in takeout is the packaging and Ahipoki's packaging is by far my favorite. It's so well thought out and pretty genius! The fish and all the toppings come in a double decker container with ice on the bottom to keep the fish cool through the entire journey to the destination. The rice and salad are also packaged separately. The food is always a treat. My order is always a small with half salmon and half tuna, brown rice, salad, and spicy house dressing. Ahipoki Bowl is my go to spot when I am feeling poke. The workers are always quick. The portions are always good. And the fish is pretty tasty. What more can you ask for. I like to the get half rice and half salad bowl regular bowl. They have some pre mixed fish which I have been getting lately. The tuna luau and blazing salmon. Parking is doable. There is a huge parking lot but the spots are pretty small. Overall: I will continue to return here when I am feeling poke. read more

I'm amazed at how BAD they messed up my order.. see the pics for yourself. Ordered pickup through Grubhub. Staff started making the food when I told them I was there for pickup. Staff was short, rude, and looked annoyed every time I tried to speak to them. They kept asking me to repeat the name that it was under, and when I would say "Elaine" they'd say "ok, Helen!" and I would correct them multiple times even spelling it out for them!!! but they would insist the order is under Helen. I tried to show them the receipt of the order, just so they knew what to make and didn't try to give me Helen's order but I was waved off and told that they had my order on the screen. When I got handed the food I asked one more time if it was "Elaine" and they said "Helen, Elaine, yeah yeah". at that point, I was in a rush and I just wanted to get out of there. no receipt, no confirmation of what was in the food they handed me. This Poke place is new. Inside is bright, clean, and spacious. They have a booth, regular, and high tables. You pick the bowl size (regular/large), base (white or brown rice/organic salad/half & half), choose your poke (tuna/spicy tuna/salmon, albacore/shrimp/octopus/yellowtail ($1)/scallop), pick a sauce, and the last one is toppings. I wish they had salmon skin! ::Drinks:: I tried the Iced Green Tea; it was good but not sweetened. The Tropical Drink was a little too sweet for me. Ask for a sample to try them. ::Food:: First visit I got a regular bowl (2 scoops) with spicy tuna, octopus, blazing sauce, seaweed salad, crispy onion flakes, and green onion. good poke spot and hit the spot for a fast casual dinner. You can get a 3 scoops for $13.99 with options for brown/white rice, or salad. I just focused on the salmon and the spicy salmon and they were great. I wish they had a ponzu sauce but the wasabi citrus felt similar. I felt like the portions were much smaller than i expected. They definitely don't pack the toppings and with it being a late -end of day dinner. i totally would expect them to just pack it in! Not a bad choice if you want sth refreshing and light, they do have a variety add-on sauces for your liking, the pokes are considered fresh enough given the prices especially when there isn't much choices of poke restaurants around the area. So sad that this review had to be written because I bought from this restaurant weekly for my family for the past few months. Every time has been stellar, even in these difficult times. Our orders were always right and ready for me to pick up with no fuss. Even though the bowls are pricier than other poke places, we kept coming back because it was always fresh and delicious. Up until this week (7/10). I don't know if they hired some new people or what... but on 7/10 my four orders were all wrong in some way. 3 out of the 4 had minor but irritating errors: missing edamame, missing green onions, missing a sauce. My order, however, was completely wrong. I'm pretty sure they gave me someone else's bowl. Disappointing but it was also our fault for not double checking the orders ourselves. On 7/11, my friend ordered delivery from Ahipoki. They completely missed a scoop of fish for her! How does that happen? She paid for a large and got the fish portions for a regular. It's disappointing to see this carelessness, please either hire more employees during the dinner rush or maybe re-train. read more

I went around 1pm on Thursday 1/5 and there were parties ahead of me and after me. They had a few employees working and I was quickly helped. There are stickers on the floor showing how far apart people should be standing. I was helped by a really nice guy and I ordered the super poke bowl special for $30 (Double the base, 10 scoops of fish, 2 slices of avocado, double the toppings and sauce. (Valid February 1 - February 7, 2021.) The guy was shocked that I was ordering that & told me I was the first one to order that bowl. I found the deal on Facebook & I guess not a lot of people know about it. It wasn't advertised in store or anything. I got 2 scoops of albacore, 1 scoop blazing salmon, 4 scoops of salmon, 2 scoops of tuna, 1 scoop of spicy. For the toppings, I got imitation crab, seaweed, Masago, edamame, and onion flakes on top of the rice. I feel like I did not get double the base, but that's okay because it's just rice. He did give me like 6 sauces so that was more than enough & I got to try a lot of the sauces. The house sauce was pretty bland & just tasted like sesame oil. The citrus sauce was flavorful and of course I loved my go to sauce- spicy creamy. I feel that the quality of the fish has really gone down since a couple of years ago when they first opened. The fish was not as fresh as I would like and that is mainly the reason for the 3 star review. read more

COVID SAFETY: You can still go in and order a bowl like usual but I ordered through yelp which was more convenient. All workers were wearing their masks. FOOD: I've been here a few times at this location and it has never failed me to provide a fresh bowl of poke. I loved how their to-go containers comes with an ice bucket at the bottom to keep the fish as fresh as possible. I also love their sauces here. My favorite is the spicy mayo! I really did like the interior as it looked extremely modern and it is nice really easy to order since they clearly laid out the process. They also had a bit more options than other poki places with things like kimchi shrimp, octopus, and some other cooked meat. Standard toppings. I would say the scoops are on the smaller side for the meats and the bowl I'm giving this place a 4 star because the portions are smaller and the food just didn't wow me. I've had ahipoki bowl in the West Covina location next to Ikea. I remember it being quite decent, so my bf and I came to this location for a quick and casual dinner. I ordered the regular bowl with two scoops of ahi tuna on both white and brown rice. First thing I noticed was that they really fill up the bowl on rice. I think it's great for some people, but way too much for me. Next, they mixed in the fish with sauces like house sauce, garlic soy mirin, and wasabi citrus. For toppings, I picked masago, crab, seaweed salad, mango, crispy onion, and furikake. Everything came together perfectly and tasted very fresh. Overall, I would say that ahipoki bowl is above average in terms of their poke bowl. There's also a ton of sauces and toppings to choose from, which is great. However, when I was done, I still had at least half a bowl of rice left. I know ahipoki bowl wants to advertise their bowls as having quantity and quality portions at an affordable cost, but I think there's significant food waste here. read more

A week ago we decided to try to have some ahi poke. I told my wife that if Mr. Anti Customer Service, the guy I wrote about last time I was there, was working I was out of there. I approached cautiously I didn't see him from outside so in I went to get in line. After waiting for about 10 minutes, just as I walked up to the counter woof! he appeared. I was trapped and pissed off! I felt as if I was in an episode of "The Twilight Zone" or in the movie "Groundhog Day ". It was so bizarre watching him slop together my order and refuse all of my requests exactly like he did before. The only thing that was different was how he short changed me. When I picked up the containers at the end they were lighter than they had ever been before in my history of going there. That in itself was enough to confirm to me that all of my requests of him to add a little more while he was pretending to know what he was doing were well founded. Won't somebody in management at ahipoke Bowl please do one of two things? Either teach this clown the basic rule of customer service is that you are supposed to keep the customer satisfied or teach him what happens when you don't. That is that your ass gets fired! If you do I promise that I'll come back. Until then I'll be watching. read more

I was looking at the menu and the Hispanic female worker looked annoyed that I was taking my time trying to decide which sauce I wanted on my salad. She definitely did not seem happy working there. This place is just ok. It's like a 3.5 stars to me. There's a lot of poke bowls in the area, but this one is near my workplace so I come from time to time. A regular (2 scoops) is $9.75 plus tax which is more than enough for me. Service is a hit or miss. Once I came with my coworker and I guess there was a trainee so he helped her with the bowl. She asked for cucumber and there was only a little left so he pulled the whole thing up to scrape the rest into her bowl. However, there's cucumber juice at the very bottom so that went into her bowl too LOL. She was pretty grossed out. Also, you can sample their premixed fish! Like the tuna luau or the flaming salmon. This was my hubby and I's goto poke place in the past, but over the years the quality has seriously declined. We went today to order a regular bowl and some hand rolls. The hand rolls looked nothing like the menu photo and instead looked like a sloppy mess. The seaweed was torn apart and there were no avocados (as shown in their menu pic), only couple slices of cucumbers thrown in.
