This was our second time trying Ahba and it wasn't a total let down, but definitely not as a quality as the first time we came. The salad is an interesting chop style Caesar, but the dressing lacked flavor and was more lemon than Caesar. No matter how much dressing you added, it was a little dry and lacked the snap of a quality Caesar salad. The burger was very dry and the aioli did little to help. The fries were solid. The biggest reason this gets a later rating is because of the price. It was over $70 for two burgers and a salad, all of which were average at best. The service was fine, no problems except for the quality of the food and the price read more

First things first, the hostess did not acknowledge our presence when we first arrived. When we did ask simple question regarding the menu, she did not have the answers. We were at the store at 12:40 on a Saturday afternoon and it's wasn't busy and she acted as if we were inconveniencing her by ordering. While we were paying, their card reader was not working and she was acting as though it was our fault. We told her it was not working, and she looked at us like we were incapable of tapping our card. After that, she did proceed to use a different card reader after we had stood there trying for a good minute. At these types of dinning places where it's not full service I will always tip to make sure BOH also gets something for the food. But the host auto selected zero tip, I think she knew what her attitude was like at work and took tip away from BOH and FOH, very disappointed. The food was very good, no complaints in terms of that. I will be trying out the other location in hopes to receive better service. read more

Highly recommended spot. AhbA is located in the Camp by folks pizzeria, and the wine lab. I have been to the Laguna location, but the one in in Costa Mesa really does it. The ambience in there is very vibey and chill. Everyone is having conversation and there was live jazz music which really tied the vibe together perfectly. They do wine night once or twice a month on Thursday's so the bottle was $25. All of the food was so delicious and super shareable. I highly recommend this spot if you and your friends want to have some good food, drinks, and conversation. read more

I've been to their location in Laguna Beach but didn't know they had a location at the Camp until recently! My friends and I were waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant and came here to sit at the bar and get a drink while we waited. We were starving so we got a few bites to share as well. We ordered the braised lamb & labneh, fries, and wings. Everything was delicious! I loved the aioli that came with the fries and the seasoning they used. We sat at the bar and were served by the bar manager, she was so so friendly and kind. The restaurant was clearly very popular as it was busy and there was a long wait for a table. They also have a rooftop bar with music that I didn't get to see, but would love to come back and check out. We didn't get to stay long because our table at the nearby restaurant was ready sooner than expected, but I definitely plan to come back here for a proper lunch or dinner to get the full experience! Side note: keep in mind this location is at The Camp and parking there is a nightmare!! Went on a Wednesday evening around 6pm and circled around looking for a spot for 20 minutes! I ended up parking access the street in the lot Pep Boys lot, but during business hours they may tow, so just something to keep in mind that you will either need to get here very early and be patient, or park further away and walk - even on a weekday. read more

overall, my experience was pretty average. I got the Ahba burger and it was double patty double cheese overall flavor was pretty good unfortunately I got the spicy fries and it was on the salty side so I couldn't finish it. My friend had gotten the same burger and fries, but got regular fries and ate them all so I would recommend to not get the spicy seasoning since it does make it extra salty. Another one of my friends ordered the steak and Frits and this was pretty disappointing since it was more like fries with a side of steak. The steak was pretty small around the size of your palm, if not smaller. Quality was okay, I would probably not come back because of it. They had a wide variety of drinks available, and they were priced fairly and lots of wines available as well. ambience was cute and very reminiscent of the vibe that you get when you go to the LAB. it can get very busy and difficult to cater to larger parties. We had a party of eight and made it work, but it can get pretty tight and there could be a long wait. parking can get really hectic since it shares the same complex as the lab. Although there is an ample parking available, it fills up immediately. valet is also available as a last resort read more

Always a great time at Ahba. I had their momenpop spritzer which is essentially an April spritz and it was so good. Their smashburger is the must order. I personally love getting the caesar salad as the side with an upgrade because it's the perfect balance! Food and drinks are always impeccable. Price definitely reflects that as well. FYI: this is an order then sit down style restaurant, so more casual style even though the ambiance makes you feel like you're in a fancy restaurant. I like the dichotomy! Also love that they have their speakeasy attached to both locations. Ahba reminds OC what it's like to have fun! Will always recommend people to come try this. read more

Dill Salad with Salmon 8.28/10- this comes with cucumbers with vinaigrette, lettuce, dill on top, feta, and pickled radishes. I could also taste a bit of kick from either paprika or cayenne pepper which was a nice surprise! The salmon was pretty good but I wish it had more seasoning - it felt a little bland compared to the vibrant flavors in the rest of the salad. I loved how fresh this salad was though! The cucumbers were crisp, the dill was fragrant, and the feta added this perfect creamy saltiness. The pickled radishes were tangy and added great crunch. You can also get this as a wrap version which would be really good too. Braised Lamb Pita Wrap 9.67/10- this comes with lamb, pickled radishes, dill, and mint. This was SO good! I absolutely love the braised lamb at Abha - they do it perfectly every single time. The lamb was so tender it literally fell apart and was packed with flavor. The braising process makes it incredibly juicy and rich. The pickled radishes added this perfect tangy crunch that cut through the richness of the lamb, and the fresh dill and mint made it so bright and herbaceous. The pita wrap was soft and held everything together beautifully. This pita wrap was absolutely phenomenal and definitely one of my favorites here! I'm obsessed with Ahba this was 1/3 I went in a week. I normally get their burger but wanted to try out different items and they most definitely did not disappoint Instagram: @hungrytamale read more

We tried Ahba recently and overall had a mixed experience. The drinks were really good and we also loved the feta cheese appetizer, it was flavorful and a great start to the meal. However, my chicken Caesar wrap was a bit dry and not as enjoyable as I expected. My husband ordered the burger and felt that In and Out actually has a better burger. A few hits and misses for us, but the atmosphere and drinks were definitely highlights. read more

Great location! It was sooo cute inside, perfect for a little date night! Drinks: super tasty- for AhBa Spritz and I think Georgie's Jet both were so tasty! We got the fried chicken Sammy and roasted cauliflower. The cauliflower was sooooooo good! 10/10 still dream about it, you have to try! As for the Sammy, it was tasty but the chicken was a little thin for me, batter could've been better (more seasoned) but it was well portioned with the cabbage slaw and pickles. Bread was a great choice! And garlic fries were delish. Staff was also very helpful and attentive :) read more

Ahba was good overall, but the verdict is still out for me. I went for the chicken Caesar wrap, and while it was solid, I was honestly more impressed by the fries. I've been to both locations now, and for some reason I just haven't been totally wow'd yet. It's a nice spot and everything has been good -- just not standout for me so far. I'll have to come back for dinner and see if that changes my mind. read more

Parking here on during Sunday lunch is kinda crazy. My cousin took 30 minutes to find parking, and ended up parking in the neighborhood adjacent then skateboarding over. Same for my brother, he ended up parking near the Lab across the street and walking over. My uncle paid for valet (which is at the opposite end of the shopping center). Fortunately, I found parking within 5 minutes (the parking gods were with me this day). It's kinda a disappointment how difficult it is to park here. Just bear in mind if you have a reservation at a certain time. AhbA was so amazing to reserve a table in the patio for a party 12 on the same day. Yes, I called them every 10 minutes until they answered the phone (it only took about 45 minutes, I was calling them like a crazy person in hopes to get a table). I was so pleased they were able to accommodate us. The ambiance in the patio was cottage chic. Mismatched tables and chairs, but with a hip/cool vibe. Nice place to come chat with your friends. The patio seating was mostly covered and provided a great hang out spot for my big family. Our server was on it. Super attentive, friendly, and patient. She got our orders down and made wonderful recommendations. I got the caesar chicken wrap. Light and yummy. read more

Truly did not know about this establishment! It's tucked away in the Camp plaza along with other cool stores that are non chain for the most part. But definitely local owned. We quickly got seated after our order with the host. You order first then selected your seating type of establishment. Anything additional is done via the mobile app. Even drinks were a la cart orders. Good and beverages here were ok. It's decent and tapas style, which is great for sharing. While it was an enjoyable experience, didn't have that extra flavor that I was expecting. In addition, server not telling us about the reserved table in the beginning and rushing us at the end didn't sit too well with our group. Overall, it's a great place to hangout and catch up with friends over light eats and drinks. Probably wouldn't want to come back due to the experience. But it's a choice if you have a medium size group. Be sure to make reservations so your group isn't rushed out. read more

The only nice thing that I have to say was that the restaurant itself was visually appealing, it had a cute rustic vibe and the mismatched tables added a unique charm; however, that was the only positive aspect of my dining experience. From the beginning, our host/server Kaia was rude and dismissive. I understand having a bad or off day but her attitude was unprofessional and recognized by our whole party. When we sat at our table we were met with a cup full of dirty napkins. Waving down a server for basic needs (napkins, water) couldn't have been harder since they all just talked amongst themselves in the back corner neglecting their job. When we finally got our water, our waitress threw the jug down on the table as if we were inconveniencing her. My party of 5 also received our food all within 10-15 min increments of one another. Eventually when all our food arrived, my order was incorrect as well as bland, a sentiment felt across the table. Working in a restaurant my self I understand when mistakes happen in the kitchen, but given the fairly empty restaurant this was clearly a result of poor communication. Although I wish I could be leaving a kinder review, I do think that this place has great potential, as it's in a prime location. Perhaps a menu tweak and a server retrain might do this place justice. read more

Made reservations for a dinner, the restaurant is hidden in the back, which offers an intimate, cozy feel. We had great service, our waiter checked in on us constantly and was patient with us throughout the ordering process. There is a selection of drinks and wines, I got the dessert wine, which was perfect for me because I like sweet drinks. I also ordered the AhbA burger. I came with two patties and French fries. The meat was tender and flavorful and the fries had a nice spice to them. Overall, the restaurant has great vibes. Cute for a special occasion or for pictures(: read more

The service is great here! You order at the hostess stand and can seat yourself. Dogs are allowed inside the restaurant as well, not just the patio-which is great for the cold/rainy days. I ordered the breakfast burrito with spicy fries and loved it! Their homemade hot sauce is SO GOOD! I had to take it home to finish the other half of my burrito. My boyfriend got the special:the tri tip sandwich and he really enjoyed it. We both enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and were so glad to have tried a new place. The location itself is fun to take a stroll and of course, being dog friendly makes it 10x better. read more

This place is hard to find and we were looking for it. Parking is a challenge and can be non-existent when its busy. We sat at the bar, which offers full service. Otherwise, you have to order at the hostess station in front. The food is really expensive for counter service, but with the cost of food service employees, its understandable. $25 for a burger and fries - and water, not even a drink. The burger was ok, the fries were good, but for the price, I'd rather go elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately not as good as the reviews. The burger and fries were fine but definitely not worth the price. The service was also lacking. The front of house was absent and we had to walk in and flag someone down. We were told to seat ourselves and were given a menu but no one came to take our order for around 20 minutes. I've always seen this spot, but this was our first time giving it a try. The way it works is you go to the host stand, place your order there, you get a number, and they bring the food/drinks over. After placing our order, we found a seat downstairs. I guess upstairs wasn't open when we went, but it looks cool up there. Our drinks camr really fast. We both ordered the Joni which was a gin cocktail - super tasty! We also both ordered the Rigatoni + Cheese, can you tell we have good taste? Girl dinner! The Rigatoni and Cheese was basically like a way better mac and cheese. I added chicken on top and they placed a generous amount. The meal was so rich and cheesey, I could only finish half. Made another meal for myself the next day. Overall, it's a cute bar/restaurant. I was just surprised how early they closed (9 PM) but then again it was a Wednesday lol. I'd return and try the burger! read more

Part of the Camp. Good luck with parking, as it's gonna be a hassle nine times out of ten. Unique in that you order at the host stand. They give you a number and you go seat yourself. You also go serve yourself water if you want it. They just bring you your order. Indoor and outdoor covered seating, along with some bar top and communal seating. Kinda gives Bungalow vibes if you know what I mean. You can get away with casual for sure, but also won't look out of place dressed up nice. Wife and I split the BLT and garlic fries (slight up charge), along with two cocktails. Ran us $55 including tax and small tip as of June 2025. Food was amazing! Super rich and delicious. I used the aioli for the fries on the BLT and it made it that much better. Would've been a decent sized serving for one, but we were between meals midafternoon, so worked for us to split. read more

I am very disappointed with my experience here. After reading many of the recent reviews, I can understand why this place has received so much negative feedback. I have visited before, but this time I decided to bring a friend who had never been. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly. When we walked up to the hostess stand, the hostess didn't greet us or acknowledge us in any way. She was dismissive, inattentive, and ended up entering our order incorrectly. We tried to move past the rough start, but the service only got worse. My tri-tip sandwich arrived within about 10 minutes, while my friend's fried chicken sandwich didn't arrive until about 25 minutes later. During that time, no one checked on us or explained why the order was taking so long. We attempted to get the attention of the staff, but they seemed more interested in standing around talking to each other about unrelated topics than assisting guests. It was unprofessional, especially since customers could clearly hear their conversations. When my friend's food finally arrived, it was the wrong order. The server didn't apologize instead, she simply said, "That's crazy," took the plate, and walked away to get the correct meal. Shortly afterward, who I assumed was the manager came over, but she showed little concern or urgency regarding the situation. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or make things right, she seemed completely unreceptive. By the time my friend finally received the correct sandwich, my own meal had become cold from waiting. What made the experience even more frustrating was that the restaurant was practically empty, it was around 3:00 p.m. on a Wednesday yet the staff appeared to spend most of their time talking with one another instead of providing attentive service. To make matters worse, another server, a blonde woman wearing a green shirt, approached us and was unnecessarily rude. The overall lack of professionalism, attentiveness, and basic customer service from multiple employees was extremely disappointing. Having worked in food service for three years myself, I understand that mistakes happen. However, what matters is how they're handled. In this case, there was no communication, no accountability, and no genuine effort to correct the situation or make us feel valued as customers. Based on both my experience and the many similar reviews from other guests, it seems these issues are not isolated incidents. A lot of entitled disgusting behavior from the staff. I won't be returning or recommending this restaurant to others. read more

I discovered Ahba at The Camp in Costa Mesa on New Year's Eve with my tennis crew, and what started as a birthday/NYE celebration has turned into a full-blown obsession. Let me cut to the chase: their salmon cucumber salad is criminally underrated. I've been back THREE times specifically for this dish, and I'm still not over how good it is. The salmon is perfectly seared, the cucumbers are fresh and crisp, and whatever magical combination of herbs, pickled onions, feta, and dressing they've concocted should be studied by food scientists. It doesn't scream "BEST SALAD ON THE PLANET" on the menu, but trust me--it absolutely deserves that title. What I love about Ahba is that they don't try to do too much. The menu isn't massive, but every single item has been perfected. You can tell they've put real thought into each dish rather than padding the menu with mediocre options. Quality over quantity, executed flawlessly. The vibe at The Camp is already cool and laid-back, and Ahba fits right in. Whether you're celebrating with a group (they handled our decent-sized tennis party with ease) or just popping in solo for that salad (guilty as charged), the experience is consistently excellent. If you go, get the salmon cucumber salad. Seriously. I'll be back for round four any day now. read more

AhbA is a cute, quirky restaurant in Costa Mesa's CAMP, with mismatched chairs and flatware in cans, next door to Folks Pizzeria. You order at the host stand, get a number and find a table. If you are someone that likes wait service, this is not the place for you. We came for lunch on Memorial Day and things were on the quiet side. Sat out on the outdoor patio and helped ourselves to water. It's pretty chill, so the only time you see any servers is when they drop off your dish. I got the pita sandwich with chicken, which was fantastic. The pita was freshly baked and warm, stuffed with chicken, red onions, hummus, tahini and some zhoug. The pita had been drizzled with olive oil - when I picked it up, the oil oozed down my arm and onto my jeans (consider this a warning). It was delicious and worth getting that stain. My husband ordered their Cobb salad. I'm not a big salad person, but it was good. It's nice to see a restaurant with some personality. I like the vibes, the music and the food. I'll be back! Great atmosphere, cute decor, trendy, and lots of flavorful delicious items to choose from. Very clean, prompt and courteous service! The Smashburger was delicious! The extra avocado plentiful and worth the extra money. The only reason giving this place 4 stars is for the Caesar salad, though extremely tasty, it was smothered with dressing to a point where I could not eat most of it. I've had many Caesar salads and never had one covered in so much dressing. They would save money if they cut down significantly in that regard. I would not order again unless the dressing was on the side or at least ask for very little . The only other complaint would be the music was quite loud for 11 AM; maybe at night have it that loud. Let's talk about what makes the perfect burger. Soft doughy buttery bun, if it's smashed you want char crispy outside, but gotta keep it juicy, toppings not overpowering, American cheese, yes but not too much, caramelized onions - not raw, give me some heat; and give me some acid. I just described the Ahba burger, it's perfect, with its pickled Fresno chilies and pickles, and subtle aioli. It melts in your mouth. Amazing. Loved it. Side ceaser salad was great, fries are excellent. We ordered the cauliflower which was amazing everyone loved them. The broccolini- was good, I wish it was cooked just a bit longer. AhbA is in the far back corner of The Camp, so you already know it can get pretty hectic with parking at times. It's a big open space concept restaurant with different seating areas both inside and out. You order at the front with the hostess first, get a number, and basically pick to sit anywhere you like. It's dog friendly, you can find a nook for your party, and there are different seating options all over the place from being at the bar, to standard tables, benches, coffee tables, and high tables.
