The Turkey, Avocado & Brie sandwich was AMAZING! My biggest complaint with deli-style sandwiches is when all of the meat is piled in a small portion of the bread. This sandwich at Agora was obviously assembled with care and the ingredients/taste was spot on. Definitely add this space to your Pinehurst adventure. read more

Agora has become my new "Cheers". Bella, the Barista is a coffee (and fashion) savant - be sure to try the house made lavender syrup. Sandy, who takes the orders is friendly and personable and always remembers the names of her regulars. The coffee and baked goods are the best I've found in Pinehurst- or for that matter Moore County.  The  bakery that has "real" croissants with a crispy crust that shatters when you bite into it.  The cinnamon rolls ( with cream cheese icing) are bigger than my head and the flavor is perfect - not overly sweet and redolent of cinnamon.  The baker does not skimp on the butter when she bakes and it comes through in every bite. I also recommend the sandwiches and "soup of the day". It's just what the Village of Pinehurst needed read more

Overpriced As a newbie to this area, I have been invited to meet people a few times at this local bakery, cafe and coffee shop. This is undoubtedly one of the top places to be when you want to see-and-be-seen in Pinehurst and Moore County. It is a nice space, a former bank as I understand it. I don't drink coffee, so I can't comment on that, but the food and baked goods are well-prepared, well-presented, tasty -- and very much overpriced. A sandwich can cost $15. That is not a good value in my estimation. Plus, some of the staff can be a bit snooty, due apparently to being around all the local beautiful people. I can forgo being seen in order to get good food at a more reasonable price. read more

Food is great but the people working here have no idea how to run a business or keep up with the orders. Lots of talking, very little production of drinks or food. read more

honestly so cute, the girl at the front counter taking our order was SO sweet. i feel like for being in the middle of a country club town this is reasonable priced, and a gorgeous location. the food did take along time to come out but it was very very good. read more

I love the location and vibe of the place and the coffee was good but it's very overpriced for what you get. It cost $20 for an order of avocado toast and an iced coffee. The coffee was good but the avocado toast tasted and looked like prepackaged avocado was lightly smeared on top of the toast. At that price point I expect fresh avocado slices or at the very least fresh smashed avocado and a decent amount of it. read more

Absolutely delicious! Best sandwich and salad I've had in a long time. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Can't wait to go back for breakfast. Also kid friendly. read more

We ordered a Coffee, and orange juice, teo warmed up entrees, and a cold entree. my wife received her warmed up entree, the five minutes later we received our coffee and juice. i had to go inside and ask about the two remaining entrees. Five minutes later the server brought the two remaining entrees, and the second warm entree was cold. On a side note, they were not very busy. totally disappointed. read more

They have the best almond croissant on the planet! The staff is super sweet and helpful. The owners did an incredible job of renovating an old bank and now there is a spacious outdoor seating area for the pups :) read more

It's ok. Not worth going out of your way for. And they sell muffins they don't make. Must be mass produced because they don't even label it to say what bakery they get the muffins from. Waiting for food is usually longer than you'd expect. Overall not bad, but nothing to write home about. read more

Great new spot in the village. Terrific pastries including gluten free. Spacious - lots of sitting room inside and outside. Nice vibe. Waffles undercooked - a little doughy. I'll stick to the pastries next time. read more

Food was different yet delicious. Everyone was friendly with a smile. The outside patio was a fun place to sit on a cool tempered morning. Mimosas cannot be served until after 11am. I just think it was a little pricey and the biscuit and jam was super dry and untasty. read more

2pm lunch. Tables weren't cleared. Had to bus our own table to sit down. Out of soup?! Sure you were. Guess they were out of avocados too but failed to tell me when ordering the BLAT sandwich - yep, served me up w/out a sliver of the green gold. Still paid full price. Pirates! Guy who brought out our lunch was brain dead and personality deficient. Nice one word responses, mate. Fool me once, shame on me. You won't yet a second change to fool me again, Agora. Buh Bye!! read more

Food is great, very friendly service and just a sense of peace and serenity while enjoying a meal or coffee.

I really can't say enough good about this place. My sister found this on a whim on tiktok so we made the trip out on a Sunday morning/afternoon. We've made more trips since then and will continue to come here!! Everything is absolutely amazing, we've tried a good majority of food, coffee, mimosas, and sweets and everything has been beyond amazing! We LOVE Agora Bakery and Cafe! read more

Cute, quaint little bakery in the heart of Pinehurst Village. Been open for a couple of months now so I decided to try it. Love the space and the vibe when you first walk in. Used to be a bank so very cool to see the vault still intact. The staff was professional and Sandy went out of her way to find us raw sugar and almond milk. The food was good but a bit disappointed in presentation and serving size. My husband ordered the Croque Madame from their brunch menu. Was tasty but not nearly enough. Very small portion for $10.00. Would suggest, at the very least, a small side salad or some fruit. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine and finished it in two bites. Very small and very thin. Only $5.00 though. Their mimosa flight was absolutely delightful. Would definitely recommend it. We were still so hungry that we ordered a second round of food. My husband ordered the cheddar ham scone and I the cinnamon roll. The scone was good. The cinnamon roll was good as well. A little too dense, in my opinion. My sister is a pastry chef so yes, I set the bar pretty high. For only being open a couple of months, I think the food is good but hoping their food will improve with time. read more

Great location, fabulous venue in heart of Pinehurst. The espresso was very good and the croissant super tasty. But Agora has to figure out it's staffing model---they need more help behind the counter and there are many kinks in the service. I expect they will figure it out but hoping sooner rather than later. read more

Absolutely beautiful building and nice location. We were excited to try this cafe out; however, we left before completing our order because the person taking orders was exceedingly rude to us. Also, there were plenty of staff members standing around and not acknowledging us when we approached the counter. read more

Very kind staff. great avocado toast and macaroons, must visit when In Pinehurst again!

The food wasn't very good and the service was very slow. We ordered eggs over hard for my daughter and they came out very runny, and it took 10+ minutes to get them cooked correctly. Our friend's eggs came out incorrectly cooked as well. The macarons did not taste good either. Cute place but the food/speed of service was a let down. read more

Waited for 30 minutes for a to-go order for a few pastries from their case and coffees. They never brought the order and were so disorganized and couldn't locate in the system. Asked for a refund and to cancel the order. read more

Came with a friend who had been here before. It was a Saturday morning at 12:30 and they were out of 30% of the menu. I ordered the Viande Formage. It was really good! The atmosphere is a chill modern vibe. read more

beautiful shop and delightful staff! excellent coffee and food!

After hearing so many people talk about the new bakery in town, I decided to give it a try for lunch. The building itself is beautiful, and the interior is spacious and inviting. However, once you get to the counter, it all goes downhill. Staff was slow and unconcerned about proper customer service. One young lady was filling orders, while another stood at the register just watching her and staring at the counter not engaging with the customers or trying to help expedite the process. My $12 BLT had 2 slices of bacon, 1 slice of lettuce, and half a slice of tomato on crushed, stale bread. I had also purchased some desserts to take home, and those were a disappointment as well. The macaroons were flavorless, and my croissant was burnt on the outside, but raw and doughy on the inside. All in all, it was an extremely lackluster experience that left me remembering that "all that glitters is not gold"... read more
