Yummy and cute

Cute coffee shop in an old gas station ("high octane" - get it?!?!). I had a yummy latte and my wife an Italian soda with cream, and a couple of baked snacks. Staff was friendly, nice spaces to sit inside and out (though small). There is a lot of chain-store sterility in Aberdeen. Thankfully, High Octane breaks that mold in all the right ways.

Small coffee place in an old gas station. Fits right in to downtown Aberdeen. Cortado a little too milky for my taste, however the overall concept here is cool.

I love coffee shops in this area of North Carolina. There's something special about the small town atmosphere and bring surrounded by Pines. A friend and I visited Aberdeen for a cross country meet, and while waiting for the runners to arrive, we found High Octane. Delicious coffee. Not too sweet, and the roast of the bean had a good, subtle flavor for a very smooth taste. We both got lattes and we're beyond satisfied. The price was also excellent, with our total only coming up to $8. It left room for a decent tip to a friendly barista who even did some cool latte art. I would definitely recommend to a friend. There's also wi-fi and clean restrooms.

I'm riding a bike to every coffee shop in America, so parts of my review will reflect that perspective! Firstly, it is in the downtown area which as a bicyclist is my favorite kind of coffee stop. Easy to bike to and I enjoy looking around at old buildings and looking for murals. I enjoyed the feel of small town America here. It has outdoor seating, which is also a plus, as I like to be outdoors as much as possible and watch the world go by. Barista was very friendly and talkative, which for a traveler is awesome. It's good when locals like to talk The shop itself is an old service station and it's redone extremely well. Train tracks go right beside the shop and you can literally watch the train come straight at you then veer off. It's pretty cool and definitely unique. It appears lot of time and thought has gone into this place, and it shows. I enjoyed looking around at all the details. Bathroom was very clean and tidy 5 stars for this great little shop in Aberdeen, North Carolina. If I ever roll through here again, I will most definitely stop in

Came to High Octane as part of a "Pilate & Latte" event we found on Eventbrite. We joined a pilates class on the nearby grassy field and then headed to High Octane for our 'Latte'. I actually ordered a cappuccino and it was really good coffee. The shop is super cute and set into an old gas station. I loved how they used it's previous life to determine the modern yet industrial decor. Staff was pretty friendly and they even have small gift shop items and hand made fare for sale. Would definitely come back when am in the area.

A fantastic coffee shop with a very cool Decour. I just had my first latte there, and couldn't be smoother. Excited to see cold brew. Love the variety menu. Hopefully Sundays will follow shortly.

Inside the coffee shop where they used to work on the cars, this is where they make you drinks .

Pretty nifty coffee shop, it was a old service station . If your looking for real coffee not the Starbucks blah blah , this is your place . Come over and feel the hospitality and try one of there freshly made drinks from a extensive menu , and enjoy the nastalgia and the small home town feel .

Pine Scone Cafe - Southern Pines

Today was my first time coming to the Pine Scone Cafe. Café was clean. Staff was friendly and…read moreaccommodating. Staff was knowledgeable about the menu, and very patient because I know we took longer than we should have to make decisions. Restaurant offers what appeared to be scone dough for purchase, as well as other numerous items, such as local honey, and some apparel. I got the rise and pine, a traditional scone with jam and butter, and a vanilla latte. I asked about the jams they offered. Unfortunately, the one I ordered was not available so I got strawberry jam. I gotta say I was a little bit letdown because I assumed this was freshly made jam and not prepackaged store-bought. Either way it tasted fine. The downside to cold store-bought jam is it was impossible to spread on the scone. The scone was so brital that it literally fell apart in my hand. It almost had the consistency of a day old homemade biscuit. There was no salvaging this scone to eat properly I had to eat it in pieces. That aside it did have good flavor. I wonder what would it have tasted like if I could've actually put the jam and butter on it. Latte was good as well as the rise and pine breakfast scone. Seating was a bit different. Meaning that you felt like you were right on top of one another. Not very roomie. The most comfortable seat I must say is the one near the restroom which is a leather loveseat and a chair. I paid $23.73, which included a tip. In my opinion for what I got, this was too much, especially since the scone fell apart in my hand.

The Green Goblin scone is perfect. It is a chocolate mint scone with the ideal scone texture. The…read moreflavors are well balanced and the scone is a good size. I purchased the scone at Swank cafe. I wish I had tasted it right away rather than waiting until I got home. It was so good, I would have purchased more. Looking forward to returning!
