Like how they leave multiple tea pots and water on the tables. 24 items on the menu; appetizers, KFC, BBQ hot plate, rice & noodle and soup & stews. Banchan can be refilled once for free. We opted for medium spice (which was extremely mild). - Banchan - glazed potatoes (standard), kimchi (good kick) and bean sprouts (refreshing). - Seafood pancake ($25.99 large) - decent. - Chicken wings ($10.99) and boneless chicken balls ($11.99 for 7) - wings were standard, balls didn't have much of a crispy bite. - Pork bone hotpot ($37.99 small) - came with two bowls of rice. Reasonable amount of pork with a few potatoes, jalapeños and green onions. Broth was light and lacked depth. - Galbi beef short-rib hot plate ($29.99) - came with a salad. Short ribs were tender and juicy. - Bulgogi stir fried udon ($16.99) - the udon didn't have much texture, sauce wasn't satisfying. Skip it. - Seafood soft tofu stew ($15.99) - good amount of tofu but the broth was one-dimensional. Have had much better sundubu jjigae. Not bad but nothing exciting at DKC to warrant a return visit.

Thoughtfully plated, rich in flavour, and perfect for sharing, this meal felt comforting yet refined -- the kind of place you'd come back to again and again. * Bossam ($38) -- the undeniable star of the day , Slow-cooked pork that's unbelievably tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. Every wrap was perfectly balanced with fresh accompaniments, making each bite better than the last. This dish alone makes Elysium worth the visit. * LA Galbi Lunch Set ($26) Grilled short ribs marinated just right -- sweet, savoury, and incredibly satisfying. A generous portion that's comforting, filling, and full of classic Korean flavours. * Spicy Stir-Fried Squid ($22) Bold, spicy, and smoky with a chewy bite that pairs perfectly with rice. The heat builds in the best way and keeps you reaching back for more. * From flavour to presentation, everything felt intentional and well-executed. The lunch special does feel worth it with the side dishes and soup it came with. The stir fried squid was fine, taste is good, basically just a decent lunch dish. The normal banchan is a bit lacking in comparison to other Korean restaurants. Potatoes were okay. Broccoli was bland. Kimchi was a bit too fresh, could have been fermented a bit longer. The seafood pancake was disappointing. The only redeeming quality was what they had on top was crispy enough. Otherwise the seafood was basically the imitation crab meat that you see on top and maybe a few microscopic bits of octopus tentacles, and by few there was less than 5 pieces in our whole seafood pancake. The pancake part was too thick, therefore felt doughy to eat through. Service is fine, they do have the buttons if you need anything, so it was easy to notify them that you are ready to order or need anything. Don't have to wave down or look for service.

This was probably the first time I came to eat during their dinner service, as a friend was dying to go and is a frequent lover of their menu. Overall, I have to say I was pleasantly impressed with their bbq. We ordered the marinated royal beef galbi and the premium royal beef galbi. The meat was tender and delicious. Their pork belly was good, but I really enjoyed the pink pickled radish on the side. Tofu soup was hearty and spicy, but the portion is on the smaller end (serves one small bowl to 5 people). Their rice cakes were delicious - perfectly soft and chewy with various seafood and fish cakes in the spicy sauce. I've personally had better pancakes, but my friend loves their seafood pancake and says it's her favourite. The side dishes really stood out to me. There were the classics (potato, kimchi, bean sprouts), but there were also other delicious dishes that I normally don't have, such as the crab and corn salad and various pickled vegetables. Honestly, they made great palate cleansers and made the meal so much more enjoyable. Service was prompt and smooth. The total was about $50 per person, which is not bad at all considering we were beyond stuffed. I think I would definitely choose other bbq places if I were willing to travel, but Sura is a great, reliable spot in a convenient location.

Came here for a couple of occasions and had a great time each time. I find the meat quality is reasonable for the price and I really enjoyed their soft tofu soup. The crowd favourite has to be the corn cheese and the grilled bean sprouts and kimchi! The place is normally pretty busy on the weekend during dinner, so make sure to make reservations before coming. It's not too dark or loud majority of the time and has a couple TVs around the restaurant for people to watch!

Went there on a Friday at 6pm-ish and the place was busy but not completely full, so no wait for a table. Mid-sized space that looks fairly new and clean inside. The tables are circular with the grill in the center, and its an elevated grill top rather than the recessed one at most other KBBQ places. The low-back chairs open up into a storage basket that you can put your jacket inside. Menu is available via scanning QR code, but you still have to order from the staff. We got the spicy pork belly (with lettuce for wraps), the salt and oil beef rib fingers, and the fried rice which is cooked on the grill top. The staff cooks the meat for you on the grill. The rib fingers are tender, while the spicy pork belly make for a good lettuce wrap with the kimchi and bean sprouts they also put on the grill. To wrap it up, the fried rice is cooked after all of the meat, so the rice can soak up the flavors and grease from meat left on the grill. Pretty tasty overall. Also you get 8 banchans for table. Overall bill was little under $80, which was a little lower than I expected.

All the spots in this complex have a restaurant name on them, and we could not find any with Cherry Food House on them. I noticed everyone just parked anywhere, regardless of which restaurant. This place is busy! I would suggest booking ahead. Service is very friendly but hard to flag down because they are busy. The call button at the table didn't work. The food has big portions, especially the big pots. Normal price could be around $50+, but the budaejjigae is $37 here, and the pan was wide and deep. However, the downside was the taste. It does taste like normal Korean food, and things are a bit off. The budaejjigae feels like it didn't have dashi in it. The seafood green onion pancake was 90% imitation crab. Pajeons are supposed to be mainly green onion, but this felt like a cake of imitation crab only. Maybe a couple of pieces of green onion, cuttlefish, and shrimp. The fried chicken was ok. They serve free dessert at the end - feels like some pudding with sweet syrup. If you don't mind about taste and just want a lot of food for cheap then this is for you.

The taste of every dish is not horribly bad but it fails authenticity. I came with expectations for Korean but was disappointed. *Kalbi: cut of beef is not the good cut as it is thicker and is fatty. This cut is often seen in Chinese grocery store where it's cheaper, fattier and thicker. Also, it not marinated well. *Seafood Pancake: presented nicely - height of dish seems thicker than ordinary. Imitation crab was used to make the swirls on top. I love the crunchiness but then again taste is not quite there. *Deep Fried Mini Crab: interesting dish that's typical of salt and pepper fried dishes in Chinese restaurants. *Pork Bone Hot Pot: I love the straw and shimeji mushrooms added to it. The pork bone is very tender but there's a spice lacking. *Kimchi: tastes sweet without much of the spicy goodness of real kimchi. I like the wide table size that accommodates all the dishes and the side dishes. Servers were attentive.

Not many people for lunch on a weekday. Menu is not big. When we went, lots of items were crossed off the menu, probably due to pandemic limitations. Has a number of soups and some classic Korean dishes and fried chicken on the menu. Their signature dish is galbijjim which is braised beef short ribs. Beef King's twist is that they add cheese on top and they will melt the cheese with a hand torch in front of your table. Got a medium portion. Portion is big enough for two, and the contents were tasty. The sauce has a little tomato-ish flavor, and the beef along with pieces of potato and daikon have soaked up the flavor. The melted cheese is mild but adds an extra and different texture to the dish. Also got an order of the pan fried dumplings, and those were okay. Overall the bill was $65 including tax.
