The rubber floor and no windows or natural light in the studio room along with the over the top weirdo airplane lighting lining the bottom walls and floors in 105 degree heat are akin to being trapped in some visceral carnival haunted house. No joke, this place is filthy and I also got ringworm, as others did here, on this post, several times from unclean sweaty floors, showers and a dirty bathroom. There is no security in the parking lot and no lighting at night. Do not walk out there alone after a class. A lot of members complain about getting their cars broken into, etc., and I do not recommend this studio. Overall, a dirty, ugly, slimy and depressing place with no natural light. read more

I love this studio! From day one it's had a great vibe, but the best part is that it continues to evolve into an even more beautiful dynamic institution. Carrie and VIvi are great practitioners of growth and expansion in their own lives and it parlays over to their yoga studio. They have the traditional 90 minute hot yoga, now but the 60 it's so much easier to fit it into a busy day. Last year they added hot fusion and yin which quickly became my favorites. My practice became more diverse without having to visit another studio. Thank you. Agni has so many great instructors, fantastic weekend Reiki and other events, and the best vibe around. I am so fortunate to have this studio across the street from my neighborhood. I have been practicing Bikram for almost 10 year in New York City and Florida. I'm a fan of the challenge of Bikram over other types of yoga, and since the series is always the same, I know what to expect. Bikram allows me to get a great physical and mental workout, but if the studio isn't quite right, my workout can be a failure if I walk away feeling frustrated and distracted. When I look for a Bikram studio, I look for 2 things: cleanliness and quality of instruction. This studio hits the mark on both. 9 times out of 10, when you walk into a bikram studio, it has some kind of funky smell but Carrie keeps this studio perfectly clean, which means no distracting smell. As for the instruction, its consistent and with the perfect amount of motivation and technical guidance. Bonuses: the schedule is great, with tons of classes; great juice and smoothie bar in the lobby where you can pre-order and have it waiting for you at the end of class; facilities including steam room and showers; cool lavendar towels on weekend classes. As for the complaints about the parking lot - as with anywhere in urban Miami, you gotta lock you car doors and cant leave valuables in sight. read more

This studio is amazing. I've taken from nearly all of the studios in the area, but this Bikram studio was the best in my opinion. First off, everything is clean. They have lockers, showers, and helpful toiletry needs in the bathroom which is really nice when you have to go somewhere after class. They also have a juice bar, which not alot of studios have, but everything is delicious that they serve. They even do cleanses which you can join. You can rent yoga mats and towels too. One of my favorite things about this studio is the floor. I like that it is softer and much more comfortable. I also see them cleaning that floor all the time, so that makes me feel confident. Another thing I love about this studio is their different events. They bring in guest teachers from all over the world and hold a reiki circle once a month. They also do challenges where you win money that goes to yoga. It is such a nice way to stay motivated. There is always something going on at the studio. There is lots of motivation to gain here, even with the teachers. The teachers are all amazing, non judgemental, and very helpful. There are new people coming in the class all of the time, so no one should be scared to try at least once. This studio is very first timer friendly. Drink alot of water before coming and don't eat 2 hours before. Bring a yoga mat, towel, and water. Also dress lightly. read more

Short story: First class paid for the month and the car was broken into in the parking lot. Asking around 3 others told me the same and the police told me it happens in that parking lot all the time. I asked to get a refund for the month (just pay the 25 for first class) and they told me they would confirm if they could and never called me back. Also, notice the RULES of bikram everywhere you go. So, I came to hot yoga class at 7:45 PM. By the time the hour class was done I was so uncomfortable because of the teacher that I will never return back to that yoga studio again. They lost me as a customer. First of all, it was so hot in there to begin with. I have been taking hot yoga classes for over 5 years now and they are never as hot as it was in this studio. The yoga teacher proceeded to tell us that it was 110° in there and asked us if we wanted it hotter. One person out of the entire class said yes and she turned it up so high I could nearly breathe in there. When I was fanning myself off and wiping all of the sweat off of me-the teacher laughed at me and said "You know this is a hot yoga class" and then got the whole class to laugh at me.. Then my cell phone was off, but in front of my mat so I could check the time as I know this studio tends to run over a lot and I had to be out of there at 8:45 pm on the dot to go get ready for a business dinner at 10 pm. She then told me to put my phone under the mat (even tho I wasn't touching it, my ringer was off and no one was paying attention to it and THREE other classmates of mine had their phones out too but she only decided to call me out). It made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I was embarrassed and left the class early bc I couldn't believe I was being treated as such. read more

Perfect example of a studio that tries too hard. The room is horribly lit with LED and fluorescent lighting. Which is neither flattering for the student or helpful when trying to focus. You constantly feel like youre on a carnival ride. Second, the floor feels cheap and is very foamy which makes balancing in the balancing series near impossible. The instructor, Julie, didnt seem to understand the meaning of a 90 minute moving MEDITATION because she never stopped talking. Additionally, when she gave instruction every other word was "um" which made her sound uneducated and even more difficult to take direction from. I checked out after pranayama. Also as a teacher...the time to learn the names of your new students is BEFORE class...not 20 minutes into class. I have been practicing for years, have been all over the country, but i could NOT wait to get out of that room. read more

A WOW. This studio is very well designed, and super clean. You can tell that the owners love their studio, it shows from the floor to the mats to the fresh fruit smoothies and juice bar. I am thrilled to take classes at this studio. I first attended because my favorite instructor, Danielle, started teaching here, and I 'followed' her over. I discovered a wonderful oasis on Biscayne Blvd! A super added PLUS is the 2nd Saturday monthly Reiki healing circle at 2 pm, followed by Yoga at 4:30 - when I finish at 6 with a fresh fruit smoothie, I literally float out of the studio. They offer really neat monthly events like Friday hot beats which is very fun and also a social hour, and they even have instructional sessions so you can learn more about the movements. The owners care, and it shows. Everyone who works at this studio is professional, dedicated, super nice and -- I mean, what more can I say? I LOVE IT! read more

Lots of class times makes it really easy to keep a daily practice. Juice bar. Small selection of clothing. Great instructors. True bikram yoga. Room is HOT. I like to do my practice closer to the door. The farther west in the room you are situated the hotter it is . Especially love the class w/ instructor Raquel Pelayo- she really takes the time to correct your pose or help you make sure you are properly aligned so she takes the time to train you along the way. She also ends the class w/ the treat of giving everyone cold lavender scented towlette. Feels like heaven and a really nice touch after such a long arduous workout. This studio is Very Clean and the instructors are great. If you want results, come here. The only thing I wish were different is the size of the bathroom - with so many girls rushing to drop their things in a locker and get themselves into the studio, you'll be in a really tight space and you can't really take your time BUT who cares...just don't use the area. It's still worth it. OH, and they have a great juice bar in house...not many studios have this. And when you leave the studio to get to your car, you can check out the hot boxing instructors that hangout at the boxing studio next door. BONUS! Go...it's a good selection. read more

Out of all the studios I've been to..this is my favorite. Everyone here is so positive, genuine and friendly. Instructors are so willing to help and make an effort to remember everyone's names. SUPER hygienic showers in the bathrooms as well as a delicious smoothie bar. If you are into that whole pseudo-cult/bootcamp vibe, showing off your miami hot body in next to nothing, and having your ego catered to, this place is for you. If you are an actual student of yoga, look somewhere else. I've been practicing restorative Hatha yoga for several years now. I am also a physical therapist. My yoga teachers at my home studio never said much about Bikram yoga, except to stifle laughs and try to not roll their eyes. I was vaguely familiar with it, and so did a little googling, and found out about the founder mr choudhurys sexual indiscretions with his students, his inappropriate behaviors at the teacher trainings, and got the overall impression that he seems to be a bit of a megalomaniac, with all the name dropping and rolls royce-ing that he does. Nevertheless, I am far from my home studio, and they were offering a good price on a month unlimited, so I gave it a shot. I found the instructors for the most part to be phonies, bullies, and devoid of a real understanding of yoga. It was funny to be told to relax, relax, relax, and then during savasana to be subjected to announcements about upcoming events at the studio. Didn't you just tell me to relax? They would let the class know that they were available after class to discuss any issues with the students - on one occasion I witnessed a woman trying to ask the instructor post class some questions, but the instructor was too engrossed in her phone to even look the woman in the eye. The instructors seemed to revel in singling people out - once a girl had to leave the practice room mid class - the instructor shouted after her, "wild weekend eh!" - insinuating that the girl was hung over. How rude. Another time, a man sat down during an asana, rubbing his foot. The instructor said, pain? Good! I'm sorry, but pain is not good. Pain is an indication that you are overdoing it. They would repeat to you to listen and honor your body, and do what you could - yet when I didn't do the full expression of tree pose, the instructor singled me out and actually came up to me while I was lying in savasana and said (over her mic, so the whole class could hear), why aren't you doing it properly? I replied, I cannot. Why, she asked. Well instructor, I have chronically shortened adductors and tight external rotators that prevent me from abducting my hip to that degree. She looked at me for a beat, and walked away. They try to control what you do with your towel and how much water you drink. Please, do not ever tell a person in a steaming hot room to not drink water. I don't care if the water isn't absorbed into your bloodstream for 20 minutes, do not tell people to not drink water in those conditions. Asanas are majestic things, full of variations. Human bodies are also full of variations. To force someone to do an asana in a certain way, when they have learnt it and are comfortable with it in a different way that is equally correct, betrays the fact that you don't know what you are doing as a teacher. In addition, forcing people to push push push and strain themselves is dangerous. Yoga is not about being able to get your legs behind your ears or contort yourself into a pretzel - the benefit is in the act of the attempt. There is way too much emphasis put on flexibility, and not enough emphasis on breath, awareness, calmness and equanimity. In regards to the series itself, yes, it's a great series - if you are in good shape with no underlying health conditions or inhibited range of motion, this series can be beneficial for you and keep illness at bay. But there is a lot lacking in this series (hip openers for example), which makes it inappropriate for many people. I praise choudhurys acumen as a business man - he has really convinced a lot of people that he is the be all end all of yoga. But as a yoga teacher and a trainer of teachers, im going to give him a big F. Do yourself a favor and go learn yoga with a real teacher. read more

I don't even know where to start in my praise of this studio. It's clean, professional, unintimidating and everyone is as KNOWLEDGEABLE about their craft as they are PASSIONATE! The juices are masterfully created with blood sugar and flavor in mind and are made with good mojo and happy vibes. And they'll take the time to answer all your questions if you're doing your first juice cleanse! Some other Miami studios I've been to are a bit snobbish and intimidating. Here they know your name and freely offer their time to answer your questions or just share a giggle with you. My favorite thing about this studio is that it's a true family environment. They'll support you personally, do their best to accommodate your needs and enrich your journey. There's a lot of things they're doing that other studios aren't doing: reiki, massage, music classes and bring a friend days. It's the most well rounded, innovative studio around and I'm saying this as an Ashtanga practitioner. Their intro rate is really affordable and once you start here, you won't go elsewhere! read more

When I walked in, I immediately noticed how clean and fresh the space felt. I could see that very close attention has been paid to each detail - the checkin desk, lounge area,, retail, and the beautiful juice & smoothie bar. The changing area was clean and has a steam room. The studio itself was spacious, had comfortable padded floors, & smelled very clean which can be hit or miss with Bikram studios! The class I attended was Yin with Reiki led by the owners, two gracious women who made me feel right at home! The class was absolutely perfect - intelligently led, relaxing, and I left feeling very peaceful. If I was feeling better I would have tried a hot yoga fusion or Bikram class and will absolutely be back! You could tell the owners and teachers genuinely care about the students and community. There's etiquette for yogis, but not etiquette for staff. On a beautiful Saturday morning, I call to ask if I sign up by 4 p.m. today will I be allowed to attend class at 4:30 p.m. I was told "Yes." I said, "Thank you," and about to hang up, when the staff person says, "Wait a minute. Don't you have more to say? I didn't hear what you said." I repeated what I said and asked her what more did I need to say? And she had the nerve to call me rude at that moment. I couldn't believe this ordinary phone call now was being directed at me and calling me rude. I was so upset. I didn't call her incompetent. I didn't call her ill-trained. Yet rolling from her mouth was that I was rude, as though it shouldn't mean anything. Well, it does. And I'm glad she was so loose and careless about misdirecting her incompetence and calling me rude, because the reason I stopped going there was because their instructor was never on time at 6:30 a.m. As a matter of fact, one of the yogis had to call her on her cell phone to wake her up while all of us stood outside on the sidewalk in the dark waiting for her. I thought I'd give it another shot, because they're in my neighborhood, but obviously I made the right decision the first time. read more
