I absolutely love their hot yin yoga classes. Not many studios offer this style. I lift weights so this class is an absolute must to stretch and release tension. They offer two hot yin classes every weekday! One in the morning and evening. And one on Saturday and Sunday. No other studio in Miami offers this many hot yin classes. Which is perfect if your schedule may change. Also, My favorite teacher is Carla. Her hot power yoga classes will challenge you in the best ways and she has shown me new poses and flows I've never seen anywhere else. Elevating me from intermediate to advanced. I go to a lot of yoga studios and I understand that hot yoga means people will be sweating. That part is expected. What I didn't expect was how poor the sanitation was here. There were literally puddles of sweat all over the floor. The layout is also confusing. It basically feels like a narrow entry hallway leading straight into the room and there are no markers for where mats should go which makes it even more confusing if you are new. They told me to wait when I arrived because they were cleaning the room but what I saw was someone wiping the floor with a towel that had been used during the hot yoga class instead of using a mop or actual cleaner. Because of that I kept my shoes on the entire time. I am a nurse so sanitation matters a lot to me and the space did not feel clean. The class was extremely packed and there did not seem to be much organization with belongings either. At one point someone threw a pile of sweaty towels into my cubby where my purse and jacket were which left my things drenched in someone else's sweat. Overall I would not come back. The studio seems to prioritize fitting as many people as possible into class rather than maintaining proper sanitation and organization which is the disappointing for a yoga space. Yoga studios while zen still need to keep up hygiene and enforcement of rules by other patrons we cannot control others actions but we can ensure there's monitoring because at no other studio has such disrespect ever happened, it's a hazard. read more

I was planning to attend WY retreat with my partner for her bday and we each paid a $500 deposit. Due to an unexpected pregnancy, we had to cancel retreat- three months in advance, which we communicated clearly. Megan, the organizer, had previously told us (via text) that if the villa was rebooked, we'd receive our deposits back. First Megan lied that villa was booked by guests outside of the retreat. Later Megan admitted that villa was reassigned to other retreat guests--not returned to the hotel--but Megan refused the refund on the basis that no new income came in from that reassignment. What's even more frustrating is that instead of trying to resell room--something my gf Magda offered to help promote, like a last minute discount --Megan instead offering last minute price to public- simply gave that room away for free to a friend and WY employee Kate. I completely don't understand why me, my pregnant girlfriend and our friend are supposed to cover someone else's retreat ?! There is more than month and a half to find someone in discounted price but Megan selfishly prefer to keep our deposits for herself and give away room for free. Please be careful. Wynwood Yoga is such a wonderful place to practice. It has a real community feel and the classes are very traditional hot yoga which I love. The classes always challenged me but in the best way, and I left every session feeling refreshed and strong. The instructors are great and really help you grow in your practice. They have moved from Wynwood so I have not been able to go as often, but I truly miss it and plan to start going again. I booked yoga retreat with WY for my birthday and was looking forward to it. I even invited my partner and another friend to join in and support Megan's business. We each paid a $500 deposit. Megan first lied that villa was booked by guest outside of retreat - screen. THEN when confronted- she admitted that she transferred other guests to the villa. What made this even harder was learning that she gave away a standard room to a friend and employee Kate- for free (as she claims, not sure if can believe in that anymore after previous lie) Megan did not try to resell the room in any kind promotion- despite my offer to help promote it and bring in someone new. There was plenty of time- more than month and half to the retreat. She just chose to take our money. This how yogi treats pregnant woman? This how woman treats other pregnant woman? Far from being good human. Reassigning the villa for free, giving away regular room and THEN refusing to honor your written commitment to refund the deposit is not only unprofessional, but malicious--motivated by greed!! I've supported Megan and her business in the past, which makes this outcome even more disappointing. I trusted what was communicated--Megan did not keep her word and took our money: 1500$!! I'm adding screenshots of our text communications as proof of a lie, so people can see for themselves. I will do anything in my power to get justice, including legal steps and reporting situation to YOGA ALLIANCE (as Megan and WY is an RYT-certified teacher and studio) as it is Ethical misconduct (including misleading or dishonest business practices), Violation of Yoga Alliance's Code of Conduct or Scope of Practice and Failure to uphold standards set for RYTs or Registered Yoga Schools (RYS). read more

In A Nutshell: -Wynwood Yoga is a good place to practice yoga. -After I touched down in the 305, I headed straight to a hot yoga class. -I will admit the class was tough, but feasible. -The humidity really plays a factor, more than I thought even though I've been practicing yoga for a while. -With all that being said, the parking was easy, just download the pay to park app & find a space right in front of the building. -You can rent towels & a yoga mat too. -There aren't any showers, but there are two bathrooms you can use to wash your face & change. -The yoga room was long & narrow, but spacious enough. POWER FLOW WITH JERI SHECHTMAN 12/27/2023 The studio was urban inside and out. I felt like I was inside a building where work was meant to be done, and Jeri definitely brought the workout. There were no lockers to lock your personal belongings - only cubbies - but they didn't stop me from bringing my wallet and phone into the studio, which I thought was nice because I'm not one to leave my personal belongings unattended. A killer mural in our practice room listed the yamas and niyamas out repetitively. I really enjoyed being able to re-familiarize myself with them during my pre-practice meditation. It was extremely enjoyable to read them while preparing myself for asanas. I enjoy studios that take the spiritual/intellectual side (Samkhya Philosophy) into consideration. I had the best class this morning at Wynwood yoga! The class was a small group. There were other instructors there to help us throughout the class. It was so nice to have personalized hands on corrections. I was able to learn proper form, get deeper in my stretch and felt more confident knowing I was doing the movements correctly. It was really a treat for the yogis to have such wonderful assistance. The class itself was intense, fast moving and had us working up a sweat! Perfect head Yogi instructor Jeri guided the class gracefully and effectively. At the end of the class in our Savasana resting pose, the instructors came around and gave us a little hand, head and shoulder rub with a gentle leg swing. It was immaculate. The vibes are wonderful, the classes are sometimes challenging but in the best way possible. It really makes you feel more alive. One of my favorite yoga studios in south Florida. If you're looking for a no-frills great practice, this is the spot you're looking for. It's perfectly unpretentious, which I've found to be an issue at other studios here in Miami lol. The practice itself is awesome. You're definitely going to sweat and challenge yourself. And what my favorite part is, no class is like the other. You won't be doing the same flow each time, there's always variety. Gaby is usually my go-to instructor, and she is amazing. Although, I warn she might not be everyone's cup of tea, but she really pushes you to be conscious of what you're doing and corrects your form without sugar coating anything. Only downfall is that the classes get FULL, like VERY full sometimes. So make sure to arrive early to place your mat down or you're gonna be begging annoyed people to scooch over a bit to make a tiny room for you. I forgot my mat so I purchased one and they didn't mention the ones they had were super slippery..... I kept slipping during poses and the instructor just passed by.... I fell on my back while doing wheel and she just acted like it didn't happen.... Also over packed and high humidity, there will be people sweating on you and there will be pools of sweat everywhere... other peoples sweat...I understand it's a small studio but why is there 50 people in a small room that i can't even walk out of the class without having to make someone stop their practice and am stepping on their mat, suprised no one had been seriously injured here read more

If you're a seasoned yogi, I'm sure this place would be alright but if you're a beginner, there is absolutely no distinction between classes on their website and I would've been fine taking a different level class, as I've done that before with Pilates for instance, but the instructor spoke at the speed of light and at a low volume. I couldn't understand a word they were saying nor did I know any of the moves and there is zero clarification on the website about that nor do they aid in explaining them or even ask your experience level. I've only been to the hot room which is a good size, wish they had mirrors but not a big deal. Mats are only for members so make sure you bring your own or you may be able to rent one from them. Candle lit class was amazing! Get ready to sweat, the instructor guides you and corrects if necessary, great chance to disconnect from the outside world. I usually take a noon class and it is no joke! Gaby teaches an intense hot yoga practice. Today's practice was especially challenging, I felt like it was warmer than normal and she was on a roll with the flow of class. I rested more than normal, but did so because my body needed it. The community at Wynwood Yoga is great: very friendly and welcoming. It seems like everyone knows each other. I give them 4 stars today because the yoga room had a bit of a stench to it today. Possibly because it was warmer than other days? I don't know, but it usually doesn't have this smell. They have two bathrooms, and no shower. From the amazing wall art, to the amazing staff, the ambiance is everything you'd want it to be. I go to the 6:30 hot power yoga 2-3 times a week, and Gaby is literally an angel who kicks your butt in the best way for an hour and 15 minutes. I took it through ClassPass. The place is way too dark, too hot and smelly.

I hated everything about this studio, from the unfriendliness from the women at the front desk, to the yoga rooms to the awful instructor, it was such an overall negative experience. I have been doing yoga for a long time at studios all across the country and this is the worst. The rooms are poorly lit, the walls are extremely thin, the door was almost like a cheap closet door, meaning none of the actual heat meant for heated classes will stay inside the room. The worst part was this woman teaching the class, she was so condescending and insulting to those taking the class. I almost walked out- I should have- but did not, that's how unbearable it was. There was a girl next to me not doing the pose to the instructors liking, and she began to berate her loudly in front of the entire class, saying things like you're not doing it right I know you're strong you need to push yourself further. The girl replied that she had an injury and that's why she was unable to fully go into the pose. To which the woman shouted "well why didn't you tell me at the beginning of class?!" She never asked at the beginning, as every instructor of every yoga class I've ever taken in the past has done. All the while this woman is parading around the room literally barking orders while not doing any of the poses herself! I've never seen anything like this before, how are you supposed to do the poses correctly when you don't have someone in the front of the room showing the class the proper way? She was more like a drill Sargent and not lIke any yoga instructor I've ever encountered before. And she was in horrible athletic shape herself, and for me personally I do not want to train with, nor take yoga instruction from someone that does not take care of themselves and is incapable of doing the workout themselves. I had the one month intro unlimited and I never returned, that's how bad it was. You've been warned. read more

After a while it feels like they do some of the same moves to much. I wish it wasn't so rushed. The classes are over crowded I personally don't want someone crotch or foot in my face when I'm trying to find my peace. Also the smelly dog sweat when gabby brings her pet is not very pleasant. Every dog has a meaning and I don't know what her dog represents so when I'm channeling my energy I don't appreciate it being shared with her dog. read more

I didn't know completely what I was getting into when I had my first class, but really enjoyed the session! This hot yoga class was much hotter than what I've experienced at other gyms, and the warmth really helped with relaxing the body, as did the dimmed lighting and candles. As for the class itself, the instructor was happy to correct me in my poses, and I never felt uncomfortable being the only inexperienced yogi in the room. Everyone is focused on their own pace and progress, so you can use the same session as a beginner or an as an experienced participant. It's actually motivational seeing what the people around you can accomplish with their poses. The only reason I left off one star is that I had to tell the woman checking me in that I hadn't been there before and despite knowing, she didn't offer to show me around, tell me where to place my belongings or show me which mats were available to take. For those who are interested in experiencing this type of class, I say go for it - and bring a towel! read more

I had an awful experience. The teacher was loud, condescending and rushed through every pose that we felt like we were sprinting. Everyone was trying to catch up, and it was so awkward. She left the room to talk loudly to someone in the hallway more than once in Spanish. She called people out and interrupted a trainee teacher so rudely when she made a mistake. The music was awful and didn't match the practice. All around horrible. I'd never go there again. read more
