Here I screenshot of communication with Megan where she lie about villa booking.

I booked yoga retreat with WY for my birthday and was looking forward to it. I even invited my partner and another friend to join in and support Megan's business. We each paid a $500 deposit. Unfortunately, due to an earlier-than-expected pregnancy, I had to cancel -- three months in advance. Megan had told us that if the villa was rebooked, the deposit would be refunded. That seemed fair BUT although the villa was reassigned to other retreat guests and not returned to the resort, Megan refused to issue a refund, saying there was no new money brought in. Megan first lied that villa was booked by guest outside of retreat - screen. THEN when confronted- she admitted that she transferred other guests to the villa. What made this even harder was learning that she gave away a standard room to a friend and employee Kate- for free (as she claims, not sure if can believe in that anymore after previous lie) Megan did not try to resell the room in any kind promotion- despite my offer to help promote it and bring in someone new. There was plenty of time- more than month and half to the retreat. She just chose to take our money. This how yogi treats pregnant woman? This how woman treats other pregnant woman? Far from being good human. Reassigning the villa for free, giving away regular room and THEN refusing to honor your written commitment to refund the deposit is not only unprofessional, but malicious--motivated by greed!! I've supported Megan and her business in the past, which makes this outcome even more disappointing. I trusted what was communicated--Megan did not keep her word and took our money: 1500$!! I'm adding screenshots of our text communications as proof of a lie, so people can see for themselves. I will do anything in my power to get justice, including legal steps and reporting situation to YOGA ALLIANCE (as Megan and WY is an RYT-certified teacher and studio) as it is Ethical misconduct (including misleading or dishonest business practices), Violation of Yoga Alliance's Code of Conduct or Scope of Practice and Failure to uphold standards set for RYTs or Registered Yoga Schools (RYS).

In A Nutshell: -Wynwood Yoga is a good place to practice yoga. -After I touched down in the 305, I headed straight to a hot yoga class. -I will admit the class was tough, but feasible. -The humidity really plays a factor, more than I thought even though I've been practicing yoga for a while. -With all that being said, the parking was easy, just download the pay to park app & find a space right in front of the building. -You can rent towels & a yoga mat too. -There aren't any showers, but there are two bathrooms you can use to wash your face & change. -The yoga room was long & narrow, but spacious enough. Overall, if you are in the Wynwood area this is a good place to practice your craft.

I went to a 75 minute hot flow here while visiting my friends in Miami. It was absolutely one of the best flows I've ever been through. I loved it. The temperature, humidity and energy levels are perfection. This studios has it going on!

Hidden yoga studio in Wynwood. They have two rooms, one for hot yoga, one for regular yoga. Nice ambiance, instructors are really good and willing to help out. I've only been to the hot room which is a good size, wish they had mirrors but not a big deal. Mats are only for members so make sure you bring your own or you may be able to rent one from them. Candle lit class was amazing! Get ready to sweat, the instructor guides you and corrects if necessary, great chance to disconnect from the outside world. They have evening classes during the weekends too so a lot of options to choose from. You can park on the street using pay to park. Great experience overall!

I usually take a noon class and it is no joke! Gaby teaches an intense hot yoga practice. Today's practice was especially challenging, I felt like it was warmer than normal and she was on a roll with the flow of class. I rested more than normal, but did so because my body needed it. The community at Wynwood Yoga is great: very friendly and welcoming. It seems like everyone knows each other. I give them 4 stars today because the yoga room had a bit of a stench to it today. Possibly because it was warmer than other days? I don't know, but it usually doesn't have this smell. They have two bathrooms, and no shower. It is my understanding that they have plans to add a shower.

As for the workout...totally worth it, you'll feel so accomplished after!! Now for the "could use improvement" stuff... the instructor was kind of rude... not even what she said, but like how she said it. She'd correct your form like she was annoyed. Also, it's hard to hear her over the music, so everyone ends up just looking around at each other to figure out what to do. And parking... definitely give yourself extra time to find a spot because it's a bit of a hassle.

I have done Pilates, and barre for some time but never in a heated room. Not only was the playlist great but the guidance and correction from the instructor was well appreciated. I am not from the area and I found Starr Hawkins social media page earlier in the year through exercise posts. I am glad I did. The same radiating energy she shows on her page also comes through in her class. I look forward to getting the chance to take another one of her classes. Things to note- there's one bathroom and one shower and they are in the same room. Rental of a mat and a towel are available for $6. The staff at the front was very helpful and clear as it was my first time there. I chose a space in the back but I then realized I was next to the speaker so I probably will choose a space in the front. Also note since this is popular class and studio I would recommend you arrive early. I arrived about 40 mins before class and I have the option to choose wherever I wanted. As starting time got closer people rushed in to get a space in the front to take their videos and photos before class started.

Seriously?! While I do believe that there is a divine energy that all spiritual practices connect to, there is NO all encompassing magical ancient alignment between Vedic tradition and Mesoamerican timekeeping - WHAT THERE IS is modern Miami marketing that tosses two unrelated cultures into a blender, and slapping on a sparkly label, 'Galactic Signature.' If you're truly tapping into cosmic energy, a high-octane Power Vinyasa flow for the gym body ego is the last type you'd promote. This place is spiritual smoothie that manages to be culturally tone deaf to both India and the Maya simultaneously.....all while overcharging to pretend that doing extra Chaturangas because of a Blue Cosmic Hand is anything other than a workout with a heavy layer of appropriation. It must be nice to have leverage over communities that either cannot or typically do not speak for themselves. I'd LOVE to see you try this with different ethnicities and see if you'd get away with this chopping up. It seems the rock climbing and bungee jumping rattled your brains enough to think spitting out this new age b.s. was spiritual aligned and culturally respectful.

Prana Yoga offers 3 studios, with the back room being the nicest, and a wide variety of class levels and times. Metered parking is available right in front for .50 cents every 15 minutes. Free street parking is available about a block away. There are a plethora of teachers to choose from so your bound to find one that you like. Ian, Eric, and Silvia are all great! I did an Intermediate class with each of them and it was wonderful! They ask permission to help position you and exude open, accepting, and non judgmental vibes. The instruction was easy to follow and they also did most of the poses themselves. Ian ended the class with a relaxing aromatherapy, which I thoroughly enjoyed. There is only one teacher that I am not at all fond of, Ana. I like to look at the teacher in the pose to make sure I am following correctly. Ana does not actually do any poses herself, just instructs so I find myself looking at other participants for visual guidance. To add to that, I find her instruction difficult to follow. She makes frequent references in what I assume is Indian, but I don't have a clue what she is saying. I also really appreciate when the instructor helps position me correctly, but Ana does not. Instead she tries to instruct you into correct position, which doesn't help me because her instruction is hard to follow!! I just get an arrogant vibe from her, and I do not leave her class feeling relaxed or with good energy. Anyway, the studio plays music during the practice, and I prefer quiet, but not too big of a deal. I find the walk-in class to be overpriced at $20, but that seems to be the going rate at most studios. I managed to get a Groupon deal which is the only reason I considered Prana Yoga initially, and if you buy a bundle it's a better deal. I now purchased 20 classes for $200, which is very reasonable. I look forward to continuing my practice at Prana Yoga, and avoiding Ana! Lol :)

The best sound bath experience you will have…read more My partner found Agni Miami on Class Pass a few years ago and both of us decided to try their Monday night sound bath class together. After completing one session, I was hooked on the healing journey. Every Monday night for as many Monday's as I could, you would find me at Agni Miami for their 7:45 pm sound bath class. I've been making my way back as of late. Many revelations, lots of healing, and nights of relaxation came from these sound bath classes led by Vivi and Carrie. I am forever grateful. To participate is quite easy, sign up for a class, and come prepared with your mat, an open mind, and your body. That's all! Viví and Carrie will do the rest to guide you. I highly recommend to bring your own cushions for under your head or knees as you lie still on your mat for the whole session. If you're like me, a little support goes a long way. They do offer cushions for free at the studio, but depending on how full the class is they may run out. The class environment is usually pretty warm--come comfortable and light. Parking is a breeze--just use the side parking lot attached to shopping center. I also highly recommend arriving a few minutes early not only to get a good spot in the studio, but so as not to interrupt the session once it starts. Also--this is the perfect time to detach from your phone! Turn it off completely and even venture to store it in the closets at the end of the studio. What I really appreciate about this sound bath experience in particular, are the wise words of connection and relatability that Viví always shares to start and to end. She helps to set the intention and prompts participants to get in the right frame of mind. Plus, the studio as you'll see from the photos gives a beautiful healing ambiance. Now to be completely fair, I know my review is revolving around their Sound Bath--that's because I personally haven't taken a yoga class with them as I haven't made the leap to do yoga yet. But I know many who LOVE to take class there. Still, I found it important to review because even if you drop in just like me, it may open you up to explore more of their classes! Are you not convinced yet? Agni Miami is a must try!
