What a life changing experience! I decided to book a last minute yoga class with my bestie today and stumbled upon Agni Yoga. My friend had heard great things about the place, so we decided to check it out for ourselves. We took the 6:30 PM Deep Love Yin class, and wow, I was in for a surprise. This 60 minute Yin yoga session was restorative, healing, meditative, and truly beautiful. I left feeling completely recharged and ready to tackle the week ahead. The class was led by three different instructors, with each segment focusing on different stretches, movements, and poses. It felt like time stood still, but in the best way helping me reconnect with my body. The background sounds were incredibly soothing, adding to the overall serene atmosphere. The best sound bath experience you will have. My partner found Agni Miami on Class Pass a few years ago and both of us decided to try their Monday night sound bath class together. After completing one session, I was hooked on the healing journey. Every Monday night for as many Monday's as I could, you would find me at Agni Miami for their 7:45 pm sound bath class. I've been making my way back as of late. Many revelations, lots of healing, and nights of relaxation came from these sound bath classes led by Vivi and Carrie. I am forever grateful. To participate is quite easy, sign up for a class, and come prepared with your mat, an open mind, and your body. That's all! Viví and Carrie will do the rest to guide you. I highly recommend to bring your own cushions for under your head or knees as you lie still on your mat for the whole session. If you're like me, a little support goes a long way. They do offer cushions for free at the studio, but depending on how full the class is they may run out. The class environment is usually pretty warm--come comfortable and light. Parking is a breeze--just use the side parking lot attached to shopping center. I also highly recommend arriving a few minutes early not only to get a good spot in the studio, but so as not to interrupt the session once it starts. Also--this is the perfect time to detach from your phone! Turn it off completely and even venture to store it in the closets at the end of the studio. What I really appreciate about this sound bath experience in particular, are the wise words of connection and relatability that Viví always shares to start and to end. She helps to set the intention and prompts participants to get in the right frame of mind. Plus, the studio as you'll see from the photos gives a beautiful healing ambiance. Now to be completely fair, I know my review is revolving around their Sound Bath--that's because I personally haven't taken a yoga class with them as I haven't made the leap to do yoga yet. But I know many who LOVE to take class there. Still, I found it important to review because even if you drop in just like me, it may open you up to explore more of their classes! Vigorous hot yoga + Pilates studio located just north of midtown (I'd call this morningside). This studio is HOT HOT HOT. For true hot yoga enthusiasts and purists this is the place to be. Compared to other studios in town this one boasts are more athletic and serious group of yogis who come for an intense burn. I loved this studio for the large practice room, friendly teachers and STRONG dialog. The flow was great and I had a nice practice. Very tight-nit community here if you're looking for some great experienced yogis to guide you along. read more

Just started in this yoga studio and it's amazing, great energy from all the staff and other students. Teachers are great, they take time to help you when necessary and they're familiar with all the students. Take advantage of the promotion they have for the first month, is worth it. The studio has showers and all the commodities that you may need. You can also rent a mat and towels there in case you forget yours or don't have one. read more

I've taken a few of the full body workout classes here, as well as buti yoga, but I haven't done any of the regular yoga classes. The staff is always very nice checking in and the instructors I've had have been great! Classes take place in a hot room, and they're definitely challenging, but they're fun and they go by quickly! I registered for a Yin class at the last minute, not knowing what to expect. Virtual yoga classes are getting harder and harder to find near me. I attended Vivi's class, which was a mix of in-person and virtual attendees. Vivi did something more unique for a hybrid virtual/in-person class. She actively came over and checked on the virtual attendees. Most classes with hybrid attendees tend to only focus on the in-person people. The fact that she dedicated equal attention to both truly says a lot about her practice. The next time I am in this area, I would go out of my way to attend a class here. Even through the screen, I enjoyed the atmosphere Vivi created in the studio with dark lighting and calming vibes. She was an excellent instructor well-versed in Yin and had a great sequence. I felt so wonderful afterwards. I really look forward to attending another online class here! read more

The studio is located on Biscayne and they have a parking area next door that they share with other businesses. I attended an early class so there was a lot of space to park. This studio is nice, the main room is spacious and has a rubber floor that seems easier to clean so it feels fresher than carpet. The bathrooms are small so it feels crowded where many people are trying to change but they are in good condition. I like they have a variety of classes and that they offer 60 minute Bikram yoga for those who are intimidated about the 90 min class or when you just don't have the time for a longer class. Instructors always keep and eye on the newbies and they do a good job learning everyone's names to correct you if necessary or just for motivation. They sell water, smoothies and have a small shop at the entrance where they sell clothes and accessories. Would like to go back to try their hot Pilates class! read more

(Yes the sugary donuts and coffee nearby are tempting but once you come do a class at Agni and get your sweat on and goodness amplified your natural high will take you right past the empty calories). Really personable and down to earth instructors and friendly polite classmates are what kept me coming back. You can reserve your class spot on mindbody. Weekend classes can get full, and there is a good early morning class attendance as well. read more

I took Brian's hot Pilates, which I heard was intense. I have to admit, I was a little nervous. I'm not a fan of Bikram or any type of hot yoga/Pilates (come on, we live in Miami where it's HOT outside most every day. LOL), so I'm not sure why I signed up for said class. ‍ Brian checked me in and he was very nice. He let me know he gradually builds up the intensity of the class and he does exercises for all of the chakras, starting from the bottom, working his way up. I asked where the coolest place was in the studio and he LMK it's all hot. So I didn't die in the class and it was actually a lot of fun! Due to Brian's new travel sched, he will only be teaching Tuesday PM's. Hot Pilates is also offered MWF @ 6:30 AM. My sadistic (or masochistic?) self will be back for more Hot Pilates. I didn't check out the locker room. Oops. And I brought my own yoga mat, yoga towel and hand towel. The hot studio was clean and didn't stink! That's a WIN!! read more

Love this studio very much - such a beautiful community that Vivi and Carrie have created here. Love love loveeeee this place!!!!! I am obsessed with the fact that I have so many options! Choose hot Pilates, hot yoga, hot fusion (mixture of different styles of yoga's), and literally more. Agni Miami is located centrally - close to midtown wynwood and downtown and just a hop away from the highway. The vibe inside is super clean and calming. Smoothie shop available for your convenience and CLEAN bathrooms/showers. So convenient to hop into a shower and head to work after a 6am workout. Other than clean and so many options of classes I am obsessed with the fact that there is music in every class. Makes me work even harder in my workouts! I must admit that on my four years of practicing Bikram I have had the honour of meeting great instructors, but Vivi is one of the best. Love the Bikram practice here. The extra perks is the Cold wet Jasmine towels given to the students during Savasana at the end of class, I always look forward to that! Yes some of the employees are a bit strict here but it's only to preserve the vibe of the studio ex; taking off shoes at door, no phones in studio. :) Locker room is small but clean and so is the studio. They sell natural made to order juice there as well. A bit expensive but hello, so is everything that is good for you! read more

So i have been doing yoga for 16 years... i came to bikram for the first time at Agni about 2 1/2 years ago. Let's start with the studio -The bathrooms are clean a bit tight for changing and showering but they do the job. -The studio itself is normally pretty clean never smells even though people sweat in it all day. -There is a smoothie bar but i never get them because they are a little on the expensive side The instructors Some instructors are more nurturing some are more strict... i take this as a part of my practice that day and add it to value in my life. They are normally very kind and accepting of newbies. The classes This place doesn't offer only bikram There is also a hot vinyasa flow which i absolutely love And an AMAZING hot Pilates class which is more like aerobics meets circuit training on your mat in a hot room... it's awesome All in all I've come and gone from other gyms but I'm not going anywhere from Agni... that hot room is home and i know I've worked hard when i stepped out even when I'm in agony... it's brain food .. and so good for u... read more

AGNI IS FAMILY. This studio completely changed my life. I moved to Miami and knew no one. I wasn't in the best physical or mental shape I could be and Agni changed both for me. I've been attending Agni Miami for over a year now. With an abundance of yoga and workout studios in South, FL it can sometimes be difficult to stick to one. That certainly was not the case with Agni. It really is a sense of community and even friendships that you form over time. I attend the 9:15 AM class during the weekdays and they offer such a variety of classes where you never get bored. Not to make this review only about myself but I recently had abdominal surgery and went back to Agni for the first time today. Raquel and her hot Pilates class was the perfect remedy for someone who's had any sort of sports injury or is on the path to healing after surgery. I absolutely love her floor mat class! Great studio with heartfelt and kind instructors. I have no need to look elsewhere! read more

What a great studio! All the classes have their own character but each are great in their own right! I was surprised most by how much I enjoyed the yin yoga class and the effect it had on my hips! I am a die hard bikram yoga student but truly enjoyed the variety offered at Agni! The class was good...but my car got broken into in the lot. And to my horror, after reading other Yelp reviews...i found that i was not the only one this has happened to. It's hard to be zen in a yoga class when you are worried someone might break into your car. The studio should invest in a security guard for the lot if this is a common occurrence. At $20 a class and hundreds of people attending the studio they make enough money to pay for a guard. Bathrooms were clean, instructors were friendly, room was hot, but unfortunately spending the next 4 days canceling credit cards and calling insurance companies, buying a new phone, a new wallet a new purse, waiting at the DMV for a new driver's license isn't worth going to this studio unless they do something about it. If it happened once sure, it could be a single occurrence, but obviously it isn't the first time and it probably won't be the last. It's their parking lot, they should do something about it, even if it's just warn patrons that break-ins and theft are a common occurrence in their lot. read more

Really as good as it gets when it comes to a facility like this. I initially saw an offer on Gilt back in February and decided to give it a shot since it's in walking distance from me. Best decision ever. I got hooked right away. Carrie and Sheila are really wonderful instructors, especially with first timers. There is no pretense, just patience and motivation for you to do your best. I can't explain the energy you feel, it's magic in a sense. I always come out with a clear head, positive re-enforcement, and an easy prideful stride in my step. The studio is immaculately clean and easy to navigate. I could teall that a great deal of attention was paid to every aspect of the sudio, down to the color of paint on the walls. There is a steam room, massage room, juice bar, and a small set up for retail. Some really great art hung as well. I could attempt to talk more detail about here but it's really something you have to experience for yourself. Absolutely amazing. read more

There is nothing negative I can say about BYCM. In fact, it is my 2nd favorite place to be after my bed! The instructors are all very professional and eencouraging. I love getting sweaty with Carrie G. (co-owner) and Sheila! These girls are in incredible shape and whether you're just starting or advanced, they really go the extra mile to help you along the class and give you positive reinforcement as well. Who doesn't like that?! Especially when you think you can't push any harder! Another +1 is that they use all-natural cleaning products and clean the floor after each class as well. The bathrooms are always clean as well. The schedule is great too. Love the weekend classes... when they reward you for.coming with a nice cold lavender-laced wash cloth during the final savasana. It is so refreshing! Post the 90-minute meditation and practice, I turn to their reasonably priced organic, fresh-pressed juices made by Vivi (co-owner) who makes the best juices. They even offe a weekly day-long and 3-day juicing program which I love to do! They know their stuff! I recommend this place to all my friends and I've turned a lot of them into fans too! Go for a 30 day challenge... my max was 23 days straight but it really made me appreciate the practice so much more. So don't give up after the first class, the magic happens after the first week or so. read more

I appreciate the strictness and practice of bikram, but I found one of the teachers to be especially rude, actually yelled at a student during class and not in a corrective or supportive way. Yoga is personal practice where you should be able to move as you feel and listen to your body. Following that class I had left my mat at the studio, when I came back to get it, the woman at the front desk was rude, unhelpful and generally didn't care. She told me that they put them away in different places and didn't say where. I understand if its a bad time but at least be polite and ask to wait. read more

When my girlfriend first asked me to join her for a hot yoga class, I scrunched my face up so tightly as if I smelled the worst smell ever. I kicked, screamed, shouted, and whined the entire drive there. Then, I stepped into Bikram Yoga Central Miami and was welcomed by Sheila and quickly became excited to participate in my first class. I won't lie, the first experience wasn't all roses -- but that's because I don't work out often and I wasn't used to exercising in a 90+ degree room. So, that's not the studio's fault. But Sheila was incredibly instructive and supportive during my first class. She let me know it was okay to take breaks, to sit out of poses if I felt I needed to, or to have water between poses. That made me feel I could get through the 90 minutes -and I did! After I walked out, I felt so refreshed and renewed. I am such a lover of Bikram yoga now. It's truly a great work out that keeps you fit, clears your mind, and makes you feel emotionally well. I used to have a favorite instructor, but each instructor that I've had has their unique style and are all instructive, knowledgeable, motivating, and incredibly nice. I've had class with Sheila, Francesca, Maria, Chelsea, and Carrie. It's $25 for one class. You can take unlimited classes for $99 a month. You also collect points when you purchase water, come to a class, check in on FB, purchase juices, rent a towel, rent a mat, etc. They also have a juice bar for delicious refueling after your class. They also offer breath work classes, workshops, and clinics on the weekends that also bring in guest instructors. I highly, highly recommend this yoga studio. I've been going to Bikram for a year and half now and, quite frankly, can't believe I've stuck to it this long! Its SO intense, but SO GOOD... The reasons I love this studio are many, but here are the main two: - the owners/teachers/staff are personable, approachable and just plain 'cool' people, but are also very serious/professional about their business - I never considered myself the yoga type and am far from perfect, but what a difference Bikram has made in my overall health, foods I now crave and the sleep I sleep!?! They have the right idea. Fresh juice and smoothie bar in the lobby, clean locker room with 2 showers, a mat hanger, large studio and plenty of class times. The ladies that run the studio are very friendly and really put effort into the business. If I lived in the area, I'd jump on the unlimited classes for $99 a month auto pay deal. That is one of the best perks that I miss among some studios. The studio is well-heated, clean and pretty large. Inside the studio, you'll find lights on the ceiling and the floor mats have a bit of grip. Still, use your own mat and towel when doing standing separate leg stretching, triangle and standing separate leg head to knee pose. You'll slip and fall if you don't. If you buy a single class, brace yourself...$25. But to be fair, the fee covers the class, a mat and towel. The area is a bit sketchy, so be safe. If you're driving, don't leave your treasures in the car. In fact, spend money on yourself and not on a luxurious car and swag. Totally worth a repeat visit. read more

I haven't tried a yoga class here but I tried their smoothie bar. I was disappointed to see that they buy their frozen fruit from Costco, Kirkland brand (paying $11 for a smoothie you'd expect organic or maybe fresh fruit) The person making it forgot two of the ingredients when making the smoothie. I asked her about them and she just added them on top... Uhh lol I was hungry and my infant daughter began to fuss so I just left. The smoothie was so thick - like frozen ice, blech and kind of gross. Dr Smood is cheaper and had much better tasting smoothies with quality ingredients. Sorry guys, your smoothie bar is lame. They're copying the nut "Mylk" fad but haves long way to go read more

This place is awesome! The location is great right on Biscayne right off the highway. They have a juice bar and you can rent mats and towels if you're not prepared. Bikram is intense but so fulfilling. The price is also not that bad, Ive gone to multiple yoga studios all over Miami that are in random little corners and have less available classes a day and are still more expensive then this place with such a great location. do itt! read more

The rubber floor and no windows or natural light in the studio room along with the over the top weirdo airplane lighting lining the bottom walls and floors in 105 degree heat are akin to being trapped in some visceral carnival haunted house. No joke, this place is filthy and I also got ringworm, as others did here, on this post, several times from unclean sweaty floors, showers and a dirty bathroom. There is no security in the parking lot and no lighting at night. Do not walk out there alone after a class. A lot of members complain about getting their cars broken into, etc., and I do not recommend this studio. Overall, a dirty, ugly, slimy and depressing place with no natural light. read more
