What a great yoga spot. Humble, unassuming, kind. Real, every day people. Easy to get to with ample parking in the neighborhood.

Even though i primarily practice at the Miami Lakes, I will drive all the way to Miami Shores to take any one of Mo or Terri's classes.

My favorite was Laurie (i think that's her name) - short blondish hair, she usually does weekday mornings. Not a huge fan of Eddie. Located in a strip mall, the accommodations are a bit unexpected. They have two main rooms: one is the office where you check-in, buy some water, rent a mat, or even check out their apparel. There's also a small locker/shower room. The second is strictly the yoga studio - smells a bit funky (all carpet) and has floor length mirrors, but also offers a water fountain and a bathroom. Overall, this is a no-frills hot yoga studio - it's perfect if you want to get in and get out. Mix of all ages and abilities. Parking is easy and if you're a newbie, you get 2 weeks unlimited.

There is a restroom in the studio just in case you need to use it during class. There is also a locker room and rest room in the office next door to the studio. You can rent a yoga mat and buy water if you need it. I would recommend buying your own mat since renting a mat that has been profusely sweated on by others is kind of creepy. I'm sure they wash the mat but it's hard to know if it is completely clean since the mat is black and made of a spongy material. I've had 3 different teachers. All were supportive except for Maria. Try to avoid her. She's the "Tiger Mom" type with an air of defensiveness about her. She was annoyed and snippy at us the entire session. It made yoga anything but relaxing. The temp in the room is 105 F and very humid. The teachers do not let you leave the room even if you show signs of heat exhaustion (i.e., faint, nauseous, profuse sweating, headache). I've seen beginners ask to leave because they felt nauseous or faint. They were verbally stopped from leaving the room. For healthy, young people this might be safe, but not for everyone. It would make more sense if they discussed the signs of heat stroke with us since some students are not able to handle such intense conditions. They should at least post the heat stroke warning symptoms on the studio wall to promote a healthy and safe experience.

The truest reason I am changing my review is that over time-the heating system in this studio has proven that it has no humidity control and this is Florida-already soooo humid. Last summer when I practiced I ended up with heat stroke for the first time after close to two decades practicing. I decided to stop going for the entire summer because I didn't want that to happen to me again. I waited until late October and started to bring my own temperature and humidity gauge. That's when I discovered that more often than not the humidity is over 70% when it's supposed to be 40%. The heater obviously isn't working as the studio owner placed a large free standing space heater inside as a "quick" fix because the room wasn't getting hot enough during winter. Welp, just spent the last few days sick as a dog with a fever again from this place. I saw my own gauge and other people leaving class. I couldn't make it to final breathing. I texted the owner-who never answers her phone or calls back. I texted her Sunday when it happened. She didn't text me back for three days and I will share all her texts here as not one even asked "how are you feelings?". This woman shouldn't own a yoga studio. And this place is absolutely not a safe space for practice when the temperature and humidity are not regulated. I asked her to invest in a dehumidifier which seemed to me like it would be right up her alley since it's a small plug in investment. Instead of actually doing research or trying a dehumidifier or discussing it with any of her teachers-the teacher I told I was sick immediately after class and showed her the humidity even agreed that she has worked in a studio that used one and it worked wonders. Dismissed completely. Not one question about my health either. Not one. Very telling. Never going back. This studio is NOT SAFE And I just noticed that yesterday she refunded the one class I had left so she was dismissing me

So so so great! I am so happy I was able to find this GEM here in Miami!…read moreI came to visit for a week and visited the studio twice. First time I was not prepared (didn't bring my card) and they don't have apple pay. Christina the instructor for Friday was extra thoughtful and so helpful she helped me figure out a way to check in and pay for my class to make sure I would be able to join. The class was absolutely amazing, very clean studio with great natural light and on point guidance. Came back this morning and had yet again great experience, different instructor but just as great, so calming, so inspiring, I left the class feeling light and definitely detoxed hehe. I will be coming back whenever in town. Five stars all the way.
