I recently discovered this hidden studio in North Miami when I visited on a Sunday morning for the yin yoga class. The studio is located in North Miami downtown just a block from 125th street where the residential area starts. Parking is available next door and I think they mentioned they have additional parking if that area is full. They have a beautiful outside area with a covered space for classes. The studio vibe is warm and welcoming; there is an area for prompts and an open space for classes with a little stage for the instructor. The class was good. I was expecting a few more poses, but I understand that in yin yoga you hold each pose for a longer time so It made sense to focus on fewer poses and go deeper into each one. The staff was nice and welcoming, I even got a little gift as a first timer. I will definitely be back to try more classes! read more

It's been my yogic home for over a decade So welcoming. Diverse offerings and workshops to suit all. Rigorous and relaxing. My health, mental and physical, is better bc of 305 yoga. read more

This yoga school is such a special place. Terry has taken a house and beautifully transformed it into a warm, welcoming yoga center. The space feels peaceful and full of positive energy, and the ceiling fans keep the air moving naturally, which adds to the calm atmosphere. Very happy I found it read more

What a great yoga spot. Humble, unassuming, kind. Real, every day people. Easy to get to with ample parking in the neighborhood.

I don't write yelp reviews very often but after reading some of the negative posts on here, I just wanted to pipe up and say that my experiences at 305 yoga have been nothing but welcoming, friendly, helpful, and zen. The classes are great, the space is open and warm, and the owner Terri is a kind and understanding person. I had to cancel a class morning of and she credited back my class on my 10-pack even though it was definitely a late cancellation. It's one of my favorite yoga studios and would recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and welcoming place to practice. read more

I took Katherine's Yin yoga class on Friday morning and I can not wait to go back. She is a great and confident teacher. I absolutely loved everything about her class. she made it easy, fun, and very grounding. She incorporated awesome affirmations as well. I'm looking forward to going to more of her classes. so so good! read more

There are not enough positive things i can say about this studio. Even though i primarily practice at the Miami Lakes, I will drive all the way to Miami Shores to take any one of Mo or Terri's classes. Yin on Sunday with Claire is also a must! All the instructors at 305 are both helpful and knowledgeable as well as quick to help with any modifications that are needed. So happy to be a part of this community! read more

Warning, read your contract! They will not accept verbal cancellations and you HAVE to send notice of cancellation in writing. They will not budge and will charge you even if you notify them timely but not in writing. Not good karma for fair business practices and for word of mouth neighborhood business . Legal I suppose, but ironic for a yoga studio . read more

I go in and out of town and started to come to this studio because it's near my home. Last xmas I decided to buy a five-class package which I thought I would use all but ended up only using two classes. It was a busy xmas season. I came back to town this February and was ready to go to a class on Saturday morning. I was not able to sign into my class because my package had expired. I called the studio on Saturday morning, and the person on the phone said my package had expired since it only lasts for a month; It's their policy which is on their website and also they had sent an email. I asked her if there was anything she could do since I had three classes remaining and she said that she would extend the package if I bought another class package. I told her that wouldn't work for me since I was leaving in a week and a half, I would not have time to take all the classes, and it would expire when I got back anyhow. It would put me in the same exact situation. I told her I would be happy to buy a class or two instead. She said she could only extend if I purchased a class package, she suggested I buy the 10-class package that last three months, I said that wouldn't work, I don't feel comfortable purchasing that many classes when I go in and out of town all the time. In the end, she reinforced their policy, and that was that, end of story. I told her I would look for a different yoga studio and she seemed to be okay with it. A couple of things: 1. Be more flexible about your policies. It feels money it's more important than the actual practice. I was looking forward taking a class, and was disappointed on how I was treated. I wasn't asking for free classes. I was willing to pay for individual classes to extend my current expired pass. I try to take two classes a week and just needed two more classes to make that happen. I appreciate you post your policies online and yes maybe I should have been more aware, but at the end of the day, that's not the point. I feel the customer service could have been better. 2. I have been going to various Yoga studios, and many of them have a policy where you can pay an extension fee. That will alleviate this type of situations and make your customers happy. Nobody wants to buy classes they won't use. 3. I enjoyed some of the classes but had superior experiences in other studios. read more

I was looking forward to trying out this studio. When I walked in the staff was friendly and the place looked nice . However it was so hot in there and they had just turned on the air conditioning . After 15 min I was pouring sweat and it was sweltering . I asked the teacher and she said the Ac is on . I walked out and the thermostat said 88 degrees. Disgusting . I asked the woman at the front and she said oh your lucky she turned it on . They would not turn down the thermostat. This is not bikram yoga and as someone that can't take bikram yoga due to sinus issues this place is a health hazard. Also with the summer coming this is not right to keep it so hot in there. I walked out of the class .Take heed if you go . Apparently the customer has no say in anything . I will take yoga somewhere where I will feel good not nauseous . read more

Amazing, incredible, phenomenal. 305 is like a second home to me, something I truly sought when I first moved to Miami two years ago. The instructors are so dedicated to their practice and students, and the community is warm, inclusive, and diverse. I have learned so much about myself, body, breathing, and yoga because of 305. I've tried many other studios and nothing compares to the classes and instructors at 305. The classes really teach you how to use your body and breath to strengthen the mind body connection, and the instructors are always willing to guide you on a more personal level. I also love 305's commitment to social justice, taking their Connection Coalition training was a life changing experience, as was participating in their volunteer programs. If you haven't tried 305, I highly, highly recommend it! read more

I love this yoga studio!! This is by far the longest I have 'stayed' with a yoga studio. In fact, I literally made a Yelp account b/c I love this place so much ! So that's telling!! haha... Here's why I love this place! 1.) Angela! I took my first class with her and have arranged my schedule so that I can go to her classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:45 pm. She is so wonderful! Her classes are always *just* what I/we all needed (everyone looks so much happier after class). Somehow she always says this amazing thing I needed to hear ... She's just so relaxing and inspiring. But I also LOVE how she can sense when we are all getting to that point of being too tired or needing a break. She never holds any one position too long. It's just enough to get you 'feeling it', but not to the point where you get annoyed, ya know? Her classes just flow so well! Even if you just sat in the corner the whole time, you would feel amazing after going to Angela's class!! Honestly! I thought to myself how I love her classes in the way you loved your favorite kindergarten teacher's class or something. Like how you got to be so loved + nurtured, but also received some great +gentle life lessons! Does that make sense? haha .. Angela is like that but not in your face about it. She's also there to practice *with* you and it shows! She's truly a wonderful yoga teacher and it's because she's speaking the truth ! And she's practicing a very REAL practice! Your body will also benefit but in a gentle way! Go to her classes . The world would be better for it. Lol... 2.) It's not stuffy, uppidity, or 'needy' at all! I like how no one really feels the need to talk to each other (except briefly before or after class). I don't know any of my fellow classmates even though I'm starting to see some more often. It's a great thing for someone like me b/c (for work and just by nature) I tend to feel the need to socialize, but not here! It's all zen and I'm all zen... and I absolutely love it! I get to truly relax and just be there to destress and stretch... And to be there for myself! 3.) The space itself. It's got a good vibe and it's not too big at all. It's not too bright inside, which I appreciate too. Then again,I take night classes! But it's got a very relaxing feel to it nonetheless. 4.) The parking! I love the parking b/c it's in the back and there's a ton of it! It feels safe too... it's Miami Shores so you know there's a good amount of lights/activity. 5.) The location! Miami Shores is never really too busy and it's got peaceful thing about it.. . You can take 2nd avenue and the back streets to get there too! 6.) The overall philosophy/ vibe. I like that that they do outreach programs for youth, etc. They all are about what they teach and it shows. I also love how there's sometimes an occasional surprise like essential oil used in class or a new breathing technique was taught... little things like that.... Hope this helps someone! Again, this is the first time I've committed to any studio and that's a big deal for me =) Ommmmmmmmmmmm ;) read more

One of the best studios in South Florida. Teachers are well trained, attentive and creative. The studio is clean and welcoming. There's a class for just about everyone. Looking for something for a beginner to intermediate? I recommend an evening Candlelight class or Align + Flow. Ready to sweat and discover new asanas? Any class with Maureen will have you pushing your limits and coming back for more (her classes are addictive)! And finally, Terri's classes. Her classes are so much more than physical movement - they are transformative. Come with an open mind and be ready to sweat (and maybe cry a little). read more

Wonderful staff...very patient, knowledgeable and kind...Great studio and members...Love this place!

I was so pumped up to find out that a well known yoga studio was moving into Downtown Miami Shores. I have taken 5 classes at 305 Yoga Miami Shores and I am hooked! This place is a legit yoga studio without a lot of the "stuffiness" I have experienced at other studios. Everyone is so friendly! I have taken classes with three different instructors and after every class I can't wait to go back to see that instructor because they are all awesome. I highly recommend this studio! read more

305 Yoga has become my church. All the teachers are such an inspiration. They are all welcoming and accepting. This studio has become a safe space where I can be my true self. This space has allowed me to get a kick-ass work out, but more importantly, it has helped me grow as a human being, it has helped me face my fears and my truth. If you have not come to a class, you are missing out! I highly recommend this yoga studio! read more

I absolutely love 305 yoga. Before coming to 305 to tried a couple other yoga studios but I just didn't feel at home. I finally came across and I am truly blessed. I started with the 6 weeks for $65 then was offered a position for Karma. I instantly felt at home. They're a community that makes everyone of all race, gender, sexuality, and religion feel comfortable. After coming the the studio for a couple months i decided to do my teacher training at 305 yoga. Terri the owner is absolutely amazing. shes extremely considerate and does her best to make everyone feel at ease. Mo the studio manager has years of experience in her field. Her classes are motivational and detoxifying. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. They respect your space, yet will adjust and instruct you as needed. there is a nice variety of people who come in. Great space. read more

I found 305 yoga a little over one year ago. Prior to hearing about 305, I had been in and out of many yoga studios - never really finding the type of exercise I was looking for. I concluded that yoga wasn't my thing but then I found this studio and it had been amazing. I had lost 22 pounds over the past 12 months. My posture and flexibility have improved and overall I feel really strong. I finally found something to compliment my running. I have taken almost every instructor and they are all amazing. Friendly, helpful, and inspiring. I would recommend this studio to anyone. read more
