This place is absolutely the best place to eat with great customer service! Even when they are busy, they always seem to have a great smile and friendly service. We always enjoy the music and sit on patio during summer. The restaurant is superior, and is always clean! By far this is the best Mexican restaurant in Gunnison to eat. The margaritas are the best in town, hands down!! Believe me, I know a good margarita when I sip on one. No cheap tequila here, only the best tequila served. The deserts are well worth the price. Chips and salsa are always good too. I suggest getting the fajitas, they are the best in town as well as the carnitas tacos yum! Chili rellenos is another one of my favorite dishes! We have been coming here for years and we are still treated with such amazing gratitude from these local owners. We have greatly appreciated this kind of treatment, with us being local this means a lot to us. This restaurant always recognizes the locals in our beautiful town, and also treats non locals with dignity and respect as well. Enjoy! Salud!

$$ - first off, this isn't a $ restaurant like it says, they should post their menu. Walked in and the guy came from behind the bar came from behind bar and just went out back, without a word - kinda weird. Food was alright, for 13$ burrito, I'd look for more... service bad (that night), food, okay. Sounds like they're best known for their margs.

Agave is good and all but really over priced. It's average Mexican food at best but they charge like they're the only ones in town.

Meh. Quesadilla needed double the cheese and pastor burrito was mostly gristle and fat. Flavor was boring.

They are literally making it when you order. And they're using fresh ingredients. Don't believe me? You can watch them cook your order from our seats at the bar. So, yeah, I promise. Meanwhile, their chips and salsa will keep you busy (fresh, spicy and also one of my favs in a long while too). You can tell a lot by a place's salsa, IMO. The salsa here is house made, daily, I bet, which already tells you a lot. Made daily. Yum. Ok, literally my dude took two bites and made a wish that we could transported these folks to our neck of the woods. I was surprised really, until I had a bite of my spinach enchiladas. Fresh. Well seasoned. Cooked just right (aka, the spinach wasn't slimy, lol). Sooooo very good. Staff were amazing, laid back and super courteous. If we do nothing else when we pass through Gunnison, we will be stopping back by here!

As in, nobody even looked up or acknowledged the people at the "wait here to be seated" sign by the door for literally 10+ minute periods at a time, and we watched this happen multiple times to multiple groups. Once they, reluctantly, sat us at a table, it was 20 minutes until the next acknowledgement, then 20 minutes until the water and chips/salsa came. Then prob 40 minutes more for food. The food is the only bright spot, and you literally see the ladies making everything fresh to order. But it's not THAT good, not really worth the 2 hour experience unless you have nothing else to do. Would recommend this place only if you can catch it at a time with very few other customers, then they may be friendlier and less stressed and may be able to keep up with food and marg orders. I rarely write reviews but this was such an odd experience I had to share.

Obviously it looked popular, so we decided to wait. But within about 10 minutes the entire wait area had been seated, as were we. Great start! The chips were good, homemade salsa was awesome and plentiful - more was offered while we waited for our food to arrive. We had the chicken enchiladas favoritas, and a vegetarian combo. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We'll be returning soon!

I think we ordered literally everything on the menu, and to a person we liked what we received. One of the few places that makes a really good Horchata drink, so if you like those order one. It wasn't that lively in there, but it was a Wed so not a big night out for most people. Their steak meals were a clear standout - everyone liked everything, but those got raves. Also, bacon-wrapped shrimp were great - good sized and grilled so they still had a snap to them. The downsides: it took a long time for food to come out, although some of that probably can be attributed to us being a big group. That said, several waited for, and eventually had to ask for, the tortillas that went with their meals. Our servers spoke little english, so sometimes communications were difficult, but ALWAYS friendly. I would definitely go back.

Super friendly service and very accommodating for my no dairy requirements. I had the veggie burger, which was probably the best veggie burger I've ever had. This thing was so fresh tasting, there's no way it was prepared from being frozen. Full of quinoa, corn, etc. super duper delicious remoulade on a really good gourmet bun. Of course, I forgot to take a pic, but, I did manage to document my eating mates selections. See those pics - albeit, half eaten. Upgrade your order to the sweet potato tots, don't even hesitate, they're healthy and come with a mustard seed aioli sauce that makes the whole meal 360 degrees of scrumptiousness. I wish I had room in my pie hole for the donut ice cream sandwich - my only regret. Go off your intended route to try this place. McDonald's and Taco Bell don't need you. There's lovely tables and chairs under the trees that are clean and stocked with napkins and hand sanitizer. A really nice break in our trip!

They have a nice sized patio area with about 7 spaced out tables and a couple of chairs for the to go orders. There is a huge pine tree for shade as well. Simple menu written on a chalk board because it varies daily. The prices seem appropriate for a quality food truck and for the area as well. I was already debating the Philly or the shrimp poboy depending on what they had and it turned out to be the poboy. Order didn't take long and then my huge sandwich arrived. It came with a small bag of chips, but the sandwich itself is huge and loaded. The sandwich is on a soft hogie rather than the traditional french type of bread, but it's delicious and fresh . The shrimp (plump, perfectly cooked and plenty) is in a kind of dark cajun remoulade mixed with bacon and sauteed onions with multi colored bell peppers. Oh, and it has lettuce so you don't feel bad about eating it all in one sitting! :) Overall, I loved it! Bursting with flavor in every bite! Felt more like a Cajun shrimp Philly minus the cheese. Only if I was to be the one to name it of course! There is no such thing as a shrimp Philly though...yet! Oh, and ask for a fork or to have them cut it in half or you will be using way more napkins than necessary! ;-) Met Kevin, ones of the owners and he was very nice and easy to talk to. Nice place to stop if you are passing through or if you are a local, what are you waiting for!? Try them out before they go on their winter vacation! :) Or just make sure you try them out when you get a chance. They'll be back. I hope!
