Great place, great food, great bartender!!!! I was here on business. I walked by and read the yelp reviews. This place will not disappoint!!! A great lady at the bar made me a few great spicy tequilas. The chips were some of the best as well as the tacos! The people were all friendly and a great lively atmosphere. Good food, drinks and people makes for a great dinner but not see easily found! I will definitely be back next time in Cinci!!! read more

Went here for lunch, the place gets packed pretty early. I know they have just recently opened but it seemed like a lot of staff were still learning. There was one main server who seemed to take care of the entire place other than the bar. The tacos were okay. I had the Alderman, it was basically steak and corn salad. My husband had The Mole and the Epic. He really wasn't impressed with either. The chips and salsa however were amazing. This will be the place I go to have drinks and enjoy the chips and salsa. read more

Watch out Covington; this place is to die for If you are anyone who likes to eat, this place will not disappoint! The tacos are the best upscale tasty treats I've had in 15 plus years and the art work and design of the place is intriguingly fantastic. Whatever you do, try the fresh hand squeezed margarita, you will not be sorry. The only thing you will regret is that you have to leave to go home or back to work. The staff is great, the food even better. This place is great for a date, business meeting for a quick meal in and out. It is a must try! Oh, check out the ice cream and coffee bar next-door. It's just as amazing! read more

Fun atmosphere, excellent service, outstanding food and a very very memorable margarita! Wow this place is a must. We were visiting from San Diego and some friends recommend Agave & Rye which did not disappoint. The menu is vast and interesting, something for everyone. Order a margarita....or two. read more

Went there evening of 2-1-22. First time for my wife and I. The venue is very small and cramped, so avoid the center seating or bar seating. We were greeted and seated promptly. As I was getting ready to sit down I hit my head on a VERY LOW hanging, heavy, large and NOT PROPERLY CENTERED lighting fixture. Had I not been wearing a hat, probably would have received a cut to my forehead! I'm only 5'-11'' tall. The kind greeter apologized and agreed it needed moved. So I enjoyed a headache with my meal. Our server Aaron did a good job for us even though the place was fairly busy. I had a traditional taco, which was good, wife had chicken street tacos, which she enjoyed, I sampled hers but I did not like it. She LOVED her crispy brussel sprouts appetizer, but she had ordered it with NO cheese but it arrived WITH cheese. I ordered tater tots, (there needs to be a better explanation about these on their menu), had I known they were very large, sauce or cheese filled?, I wouldn't have ordered them, however, they were tasty, just not what I was expecting or actually wanted. We won't be back. Its a perfect spot for the younger hipster crowd to have a few drinks or food. Not a comfortable dining experience overall. The chairs were comfortable and pleasant. PLEASE FIX YOUR DANGEROUS LIGHTING FIXTURES! Its a lawsuit just waiting to happen. Brad R. read more

Cool spot. They do a good job with their craft cocktails. I recommend a giant freakin mug of punch that will mess you up. The tacos are awesome. There are so many different options. You can eat the hell out of some Kangaroo meat here. Kangaroos deserve it. They got a bad attitude. read more

Awesome street tacos, great fresh margaritas, great friendly service. Come during the week, weekend is crazy busy.

These are the best tacos in town! If I had to choose between sex and the "swipe right" taco I would choose the swipe right. Thank you.

This is our new go to place. If you can't find a taco you like, stop. I had the Ahi tuna and Kangaroo. As well the Mahi was outstanding. Sat at the bar and loved talking to Mike, Jordan and Jeremy that are spit up fun. SO NOT miss it !!! read more

This place is my go to for lunch or dinner with clients and guests to the area. The food is great and the service has never disappointed. The taco menu is unlike any other restaurant. I am so glad they thought to put bacon in a taco! Check this place out, you will not be disappointed! read more

Pretty sure you guys gave us food poisoning. My boyfriend and I both got very sick shortly after eating takeout from here last Wednesday.

Drinks were good and bartender was flexible with drink requests however; we ordered the snitch and the alderman and both were terrible.. the fish was awful and I couldn't eat it and the steak was super tough.. would not return read more

This staff is so laid back and makes great margaritas! We love it! The Brussel sprouts appetizer is the bomb!

Food was fabulous. Decor at Liberty Twp was beautiful. Service was fast. This place is a WINNER

Came for lunch and it was fantastic. Lots of options with really creative taco combinations, which were all delicious. Really like that they are trying to create something new with the taco concept and not just copy what already exists in the area. The Rooster and Cat's Meow are must picks for first timers at this restaurant and will definitely be back to add some margaritas to the meal. Very reasonably priced as well. read more

Food looked awesome but unfortunately we didn't get to try it due to extremely poor service. It was very slow last night (one table outside and 4 inside) yet the server couldn't seem to get chips and salsa we ordered at all. I asked him after 15 minutes of waiting and his response was he wasn't in the kitchen yet. No excuse because he found time to talk to ppl in front of us walking down the street before I asked him where our food was. He said he wasn't in the kitchen yet so I asked if he could go get the chips and salsa (we ordered 3 sauces with the chips) and the check and we will eat elsewhere. 10 minutes later he brings the checks with no food. I asked to speak to the manager. 10 minutes later the server came and got the check to get it paid. The manager was very nice, therefore a second star. He tried to fix the situation but it was 43 minutes in and we only got drinks and not one piece of food. Again, the manager was nice. He tried to salvage a poor situation and we chose to leave since we were starving. The biggest problem is the manager said it only takes less than 5 minutes to get food. We ordered at 6:27 and had nothing at 6:52 with very little business in the building. It's a shame. It looked good. read more

Chips and queso were super good! Tried the Mac Daddy taco and it did not disappoint. The pulled pork on the taco was tender and delicious.

Everything was bitchin. This might take the top spot in our favorite taco rankings. We ordered the Rooster, The Godfather, the crown jewel and the plain Jane (make it epic.) our personal favorite was The Godfather. I highly recommend you order at least 14. The service was great. Kendra was our awesome server! And the place itself is very cool. We are leaving very very full and happy. 10/10 read more

Visited for lunch- enjoyed the decor in the bar area and restaurant all together. We ordered street tacos which were okay, but did not stack up to other Covington or Cincinnati area restaurants. Steak was sliced too thick and tough from overcooking. Ordered chicken and fried fish tacos as well, neither of which were particularly good. Service was okay, but bartenders seemed more engaged and conversational than servers even in the middle of the day. Would visit again to try the drinks and experience the bar, but if returning for lunch would look to try a different entree. read more

The food was great. But the service was worse than anyone I have had. The waitress was disorganized rude and just completely unprofessional. She is in the wrong business. If I had her name I would surely post. I noticed all 3 tables besides ours who she was taken care of was just as aggravated read more

Really enjoyed lunch here. Got the mahi in a salad bowl. The carmelized pineapple was the highlight of the dish. Homemade chips and salsa is a must . It is a little expensive for lunch, but worth it when you want to spoil yourself! read more

This place was awesome. In had the Alderman taco and it was the best I've ever had. Nachos we're tasty as was the Mac and cheese.

Perfection. Such an interesting menu, great service, hip vibe yet comfortable - genuine. Likely the best Margarita i have ever had. A must. read more

Awesome atmosphere! Our waiter was top notch, friendly, knew the menu & drinks & was very down to the earth (the full sleeve of tattoos was a nice touch). The food was excellent! Lobster Taco w/ Mac-n-cheese, the hard shell comes w/ a soft shell around it. To Drink a Peach Bourbon mix...awesome mix! Cool restaurant, comfy chairs...I'm getting a little old b/c I thought the music was little loud (we were right under the speaker)...I didn't really care for the music mix, but it wasn't bad. Great vibe overall & the food to the table was super fast! read more

Just went for the first time last night. The food was great, the margaritas were delicious, and we got got great service from Cornelius. The restaurant was slammed, so it wasn't the fastest meal ever, but Cornelius was running around the whole time and had a huge smile for everyone. Will definitely be going back! read more

A menu full of creative tacos, delicious apps, and phenomenal cocktails! Sit outside under one of the umbrellas and enjoy all they have to offer! You won't be disappointed! read more

This place is chaotic. There is no hostess so people lurk like vultures in the doorway looking for a table. It sets up conflict with people as you see who can eye a table first. Messy and disorganized. read more

Love the food here but today and last week when I was there they advertised a happy hour and specials but they have never given me the "special discount " until I tell them about it after I got the bill. I guess check your receipt before you pay if you want them to honor their specials. I'm very happy to tip on the full amount but come on...it's happy hour! It's not that hard. read more

Had a really bad experience, it doesn't mean that you will. That being said here's what happened to me I ordered the special which was a queen tinga and the duck confit as well, I also ordered the queso with spicy sausage. The food looks great and tastes good except this is where it went wrong. When I first got seated my waitress saw fit to inform me that this isn't Taco Bell in a way that basically said you should leave if you think that's what this is going to be like... Whatever I can ignore snobs. When my food came it looked different than what I thought I had ordered but whatever I took a bite of the queen tinga only to find it had chicken bones in it... Hard pass... So I thought well then I'll bite into the duck confit... Except they gave me a Carnitas taco... I'm not normal to complain so I just ate it but I didn't have the stomach to even try to continue to eat the queen tinga... No onto the queso and sausage... I was expecting some kind of fancy sausage considering everything else was really fancy but what they brought out with some chips was grainy queso like sand with what seemed like Johnsonville Brats chopped up and shoved in it... when I brought all this up to my waitress she looked at me and said one word "oh" ... Then walked away lol... So a $30 meal for one taco that was edible but not what I ordered and another Taco that was full of chicken bones and some subpar queso... You can decide if you want to eat there or not I will not be going back read more

Love the atmosphere ..a fun spin on tacos and the Brussel Sprouts are amazing A great place for date night or girls night out..Cozy Casual

I am definitely willing to give this place another try, but our server was fairly inattentive. My husband and I went on a Sunday evening, and it was not busy enough to excuse having to wait for as long as we did to get waters. As far as food, I thought my taco was delicious! I got the fried cauliflower vegetarian taco, and would definitely eat it again. It was fairly greasy, as were the chips that we got as an appetizer, but it still had good flavor. read more

My wife and I, along with my sister and her husband tried out this restaurant yesterday. It does not have a professional aspect as you find a place to sit as you would in a fast food place. The food was wonderful, however our server (losing the term loosely) was the worst I have experienced in over 45 years of dining. She made us feel as if we were imposing on her making our evening unpleasant. I won't be returning and I intend to call the manager today as we didn't do it yesterday because we just wanted to get the hell out. It;s a shame to have good food but a horrible server. It ruins everything. read more

Tacos are delicious and in good portions. The Queso and chips are delicious. I feel like this is Nada for half of the price which is pretty incredible. Excellent service, lovely outdoor seating. Even the drinks come in generous portions. Be sure to check them out on their Tuesday. $5 margaritas are great. read more

Great hot sauce with chips and 3 of 4 tacos were excellent. Prices were fair. Double wrapped tacos a big hit for the wife. Sat at bar, very friendly staff. Drinks are not cookie cutter style, high end feel, very good. We'll go back. read more

Overall good food. We tried several different tacos, chips/guacamole/queso, Brussel sprouts, and Mexican corn salad. Margs were good as well. We had no problem with the service. What will likely prevent me from returning is the horrible way patrons are seated. You stand in line until a table that will fit your party becomes available. No hostess facilitating this, just a sign that says seat yourself. No way to prevent a small party from taking a large table. You can't wait at the bar because you give up your line spot. No idea of how long the wait may be. This system may be fine when it's not busy, but otherwise it doesn't work well. read more

Un be leevable! We told them it was too cheap. Brussel sprouts. Damn. Corn fritters. Guacamole. Great.

I love this place. I've been many times and crave their tacos! . The first time I was with girlfriends on a Wednesday night and the food was excellent. The house made tortilla chips were crisp and salted just right. The queso was very good. I had one of their vegetarian tacos, the mole, and it was delicious and a side of Mexican street corn salad which was good. I shared a piece of margarita pie with my friend and it was so very good. We all had margaritas and they were just ok (but I'm partial to Bakersfield margaritas). The second time I brought my husband on a Saturday night. Server was excellent, super friendly I tried their signature cocktail and it was proper strong and very tasty. The bang bang taco is my favorite and the Brussels sprouts are so yum! The sticky cauliflower is delicious so there are lots of vegetarian options. I probably go at least once a week. The people, the food, the drinks (oh yeah, the blackberry slush...yum ) this is my go to place!! read more

I've eaten here twice now and both times my food came out cold, the margaritas were atrocious, the service was slow and the server seemed bothered that I was there. And they weren't even busy! If you want tacos, go literally anywhere that serves tacos. Whoever is running the place has no idea what they're doing or they don't care. Don't waste your money read more

Agave & Rye is an excellent establishment. The food is excellent and the service is courteous and attentive. The decor and atmosphere make it the perfect setting for any occasion. First time visit so I can't justify one star. Went there for the first time today and the waitress was extremely friendly. She deserves more stars than the food. I ordered two tacos. One was incredibly bland, it had no flavor and was extremely disappointing. I love tacos so I can be hyper critical. The other taco which was so salty it ruined the entire thing. The Ghost Pepper salsa was slightly less than mediocre in the sense it was bland until you randomly got a bite of pepper and then it did get nice and hot but those bites were few and far in between. I had high hopes for the margarita but was also left disappointed just like the food itself. The cooks seem inexperienced with flavor combinations and just randomly throw a bunch of stuff into a taco and call it "epic". read more
