The car was towed from my mechanic to Sherif. The tow truck driver asked, "Are we towing it the Mercedes -Benz mechanic on La Brea and Centinela, because that guy is really good with these cars! The customers always give us good reports about that shop!" Upon meeting Sherif, he asked me to bring him the other original fob key even if they're not working. (I had 3 fob keys; 2 had stopped working after going through the washer/dryer by accident and the dealer charged $200 per fob.) That afternoon, he diagnosed the issue -- fuse box and struts had to be replaced. I gave him the greenlight and it was ready the next afternoon, along with the fob keys working again! He gave me a deal! Here's another important part of my experience: When I mentioned I will bring my BMW to him for service, he responded with, "No, I do not want to take away business from your mechanic."
