I am a total L.A. tow girlie! As a loyal member as AAA card club holder... It's nice to have peace of mind. To know that AAA always has quality subcontracts that are local to my community that serves us. Los Angeles tow has been one of those first responders and has always give impeccable service with quality value. I definitely trust L.A. tow for last minute repairs and any car maintenance needs. Their mechanics are down to earth very good people. Love these guys.! read more

Rating would be negative if I can do that. LA Tow is AAA's primary towing contractor in metro LA. Must be because it's cheap. My car was in an accident and not driveable. Call AAA at 10pm to request a tow, LA Tow was assigned and provided a 45 mins estimate. 43 mins later, tow company called and said they "got busy" and will now be another 45 mins. At that point, I called AAA dispatch back and requested a new tow company to be assigned. AAA said they would check with tow company to verify ETA. Another 45 mins past and tow company says it will be another 45 mins. I called AAA back and they finally said they will look for another tow company. I even explain I am on a deserted road with no street lights, not walking distance from anywhere safe to wait except inside the car and no toilets nearby. While this was ongoing, I called roadside service provided by my credit card company and was assigned a different tow company. That tow company gave me a 30 mins ETA and the tow truck arrived on time. At this point, it was 12:40am!! Do not use LA Tow, they overbook and will take jobs from higher paying customers and leave AAA customers to wait for hours. I am also cancelling AAA as this is the second bad towing experience I've had from AAA. read more

This place conducts fraudulent business practices. Been having an issue with this contractor that is supposedly contracted with AAA to provide services. I have called countless of times to get a battery replacement the battery life stays 59% which means battery clearly needs a replacement. The first technician came out and even informed me that we need to call the battery technician. Once we did he didn't even test the vehicles battery he just simply recharged it and said he couldn't do anything since we don't have a receipt. Keep in mind this battery was replaced back in 2022 which AAA and I already verified with them that it's under warranty. So the moral of the story is the battery technician said it comes out of pocket for the company to replace the battery and basically they were doing half job and didn't want to go above and beyond to help. When there's clearly a record that states this battery has an ongoing issue and needs to be replaced. I also verified with AAA supervisor and they state that they pay for the battery to a third party so it's clear that they are doing some shady business. CAUTION If you deal with this company you are at their risk. I would avoid them at all cost. read more

Had a terrible day today after trying to have a nice evening with my kids . I was going through it thinking the worse and had to drive back home with a young man named Alan Lopez . Great guy , made me feel better and had a long conversation with the man about life and how things happen for a reason ! He made me not stress so much about the situation I was in ! 10 out of 10 recommended if thats the kind of people they have on their staff ! Thank you again Alan . read more

I would like to put in a good word for Juan! He went above and beyond with helping me get my car towed for my service request! Juan is professional , courteous and an expert at his job! He ensured I had a ride back, and also ensured that I was getting the help I needed after the tow was complete! He made a horrible day that I was having a lot better! I Highly recommend LA Tow!! Thank you again for your time and help Juan! Your incredible!! You went above and beyond and I really appreciate everything!! read more

Dishonest company, dishonest practices. Like the other 1-star reviews, I hope AAA does the right thing and voids their contract. It's unlikely there are any willing return customers. Required a tow through AAA, and the longer route via the highway was mapped out for the charge, even though we ended up taking a shorter route on the local streets - which I verified as 7 miles less. Driver informed me that they could not adjust cost at time of drop off. I attempted to dispute the charges through AAA who would only accept the company driver's statement. But after waiting over 1hr in the heat for your tow, realistically, it's difficult to turn down the service. If you are forced to ride with the company, make sure to video record the drive- and also that your seat belt is present and working.. which was another issue... read more

My recent experience with LA Tow was mediocre. It was raining heavily that day. The phone rep called to say step out of my car, that the driver had arrived and proceed to his tow truck. When i flagged him down and pointed him to my car, he signaled me to get in his truck. He said its easier to find the car. I explained again very clearly where my car was and he rolled his eyes at my refusal to get into the truck. I have issues eith my knees and didnt want to climb into the very high truck until it was time to proceed to the my tow destination. Overall, he did his job, towed my car but his non verbal discontent and rolling of his eyes would have made for a better experience. We sat in silence most of the over 1 hour drive until i spoke but they dont pay him to speak so my review is mainly a mediocre score because i find it rude to roll your eyes when clear instructions and description of my vehicle was given on the phone prior to his arrival and he could have followed me in the parking lot to my car if im saying i dont want to get into the truck that also smelled terribly. He mentioned it wasnt his truck, so not his fault but still... read more

I've never seen someone drive a lil tow truck like Hugo. He came to tow my grandma and I out of a parking lot when our car key refused to turn. He arrived 10-15 mins earlier than estimated, and tried some WD-40 on it just to make sure we didn't need a tow. He was very kind and personable during the ride, which was nice to experience during our stressful evening. I assumed he would just park the car on the street outside my apartment, but he somehow managed to back it into my tiny covered parking space with no problem. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen-we had to pick our jaws up off the floor. Can't speak for anyone else's experience but I have nothing but good things to say about Hugo from LA Tow. Highly recommend. read more

I will never recommend this company to anyone and like others have said, I hope AAA stops contracting with them. I got a flat while driving home, and had my car towed to my apartment garage. I called for a second tow two days later so I could take it for service, and immediately on the phone the driver says "we can't fit in your garage" without even coming to see it. I informed him I was just dropped here 2 days ago so I know they can fit to a certain extent. Plus my building has a grocery store on the ground level, so delivery trucks and moving trucks fit in a certain area daily, so they can fit too. They agree to come, but upon arrival say they're here and they're not. I'm standing on the street looking for them, no where to be found. And every time I call back to help us find each other, I'm only connected to the office dispatch and not the driver directly. They refused to connect us. Dispatch even hung up on me. Eventually I saw the driver and spoke to him about a meeting point to bring my car, and he was giving me attitude about how I gave him the wrong address, when it's clearly written down and correct. If he had called me directly at arrival we could have figured it out sooner. We had to meet on a side street entrance that he cannot enter size wise, but he said he would wait there while I went to get my car and drive it out. When I came back 1 minute later driving my car, he was gone. I called back and they said supervisor MJ told him to leave. No reason given, but a huge waste of time. Absolutely horrendous customer service. read more

So put in a request for service through AAA and under the notes for the driver section I stated that I may need a tow. Well the driver comes but he's in a pick up truck which was confusing to me because I had stated I may need a tow but nevertheless, he checks out the car and agrees a tow is needed. So he calls back in an the entire conversation is on speaker phone so I can hear what the other party on the call is saying and the driver requests a tow and I was told, they will be here in 30 minutes. No worries. I wait for over an hour. No one comes and I had called numerous times (even left two voicemails to find out the status update on the tow truck). Finally, the security guard answers the phone and says that they closed at midnight and everyone left. Mind you when the guy came and called his co-worker for the tow, that was at about 11:40pm. So if you guys were going to close at midnight...why not say something to me? Or why not have someone call me to tell me we close at midnight and can not accommodate your request? Something. But no, instead, no one called. No one updated me and I've been sitting here for over an hour stranded. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. If this is how they do business, you're better off calling somewhere else. Just my honest opinion. read more

Horrible Service, and terrible human. I called for a service tow because my car died on me. Gave the address and everything to find me. Kept AAA tracking on, watched him drive, stating he has arrived but nowhere to be seen. He was 3 blocks away no where near where the address that was provided. after walking up the street to wave him down. he stared at me from his window and drove off when he could have easily made the left turn. It's a terrible place and extremely inefficient--especially the manager, MJ. I wish AAA did not contract with them and if I call AAA I will definitely request that I do not work with LA tow. The towing business has a scummy connotation because of places like LA tow! The battery technician screwed up the computer/accelerator when he changed the battery and knowing they screwed it up the manager said he would fix it, AAA gave them the contract to tow the vehicle back to their yard and then LA tow did not accept the car or responsibility for their screw up. TLDR; scummy manager and corrupted business - DO NOT USE! read more

I called AAA, and they assigned LA Tow as the carrier. I called every hour or so to check up and by the time the tow truck came 8.5 hours after I called it was too late in the day to get it to the shop. I thought it was fine because they said they add the after hours code to leave the vehicle inside of the mechanics lot, but then said they didn't and just left it out on the street by their shop where it didn't run and couldn't move it. I would not go with this company at all. If you want good customer service and want things to go smoothly then this probably isn't the company for you. I have COVID and didn't want to expose people because I live in an apartment building. They suggested still coming downstairs to show my ID Instead of sending my husband downstairs with my ID the Hispanic male just got into the truck and left. As a woman I'm stranded in DTLA all because they expected me to expose people to COVID instead of taking my ID from my husband. Over the phone they were very rude and non responsive. I'd just really recommend skipping this company all together because had the situation been worse they lack so many of the basic yet necessary qualities it takes to do a simple lock out. read more
