My original appointment was not on Thursday, as stated in the owner's response. The Sunday correction appointment was also offered to me by Hannah. I was never told that Sunday was her day off or that she was coming in specifically for me. She already had another client immediately before my appointment, so it was presented to me as an available appointment time. I also find the tone of the public response very different from the private message I received from the owner two days earlier. Privately, I was told that my one-star review was "pretty harsh," that the photos she had seen of my hair were "stunning," and that she was "not sure exactly how the experience didn't line up" with what I asked for. She also suggested that clients can have expectations based on inspiration photos and later decide they want something adjusted, and stated that "any amazing stylist could have had the same experience with you." That response made me feel as though the problem was being placed on my expectations rather than acknowledging that the service simply did not turn out as requested. I did not decide afterward that I suddenly disliked a result that was what I asked for. I raised concerns because my hair did not match what I requested, which is why I returned for a correction in the first place. My "Money Pieces" were OVERLY processed and I had HOT ROOTS. I got consultations from 3 stylists all saying the same thing. I understand that reds and coppers can be difficult and may require adjustments. However, if my desired result was too difficult, unrealistic for my starting point, or outside the stylist's comfort level, I would have much rather been told that before the service and referred to someone else. I have never denied that Hannah attempted a correction or that I ultimately received a full refund, and I appreciate the refund. But those things do not invalidate my experience or mean that I am obligated to leave a positive review. I originally reviewed my experience with the service itself. Unfortunately, the way my concerns were subsequently handled particularly being privately told my review was too harsh and having my expectations questioned, followed by a much different public response has made the experience even more disappointing.

Before my appointment I got a text that i could come in early and so i replied and headed to their shop. When i arrived and sat down,  Eileen decided that was the time to tell me that she's unable to do my hair because I had previously seen Courtney. Seriously. 1st of all, it is incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate to let me drive all the way there and then tell me she couldn't see me. She couldn't have told me before i took the day off and drove all the way there? You had several days between my consult and appointment to decide you didn't want to see me. 2nd, a given stylist doesn't own me. I don't get this catty possessiveness. I had previously messaged Courtney and when i didn't hear back i scheduled with Eileen. Why is this a problem? I schedule with who i can, when my schedule permits. I'm sure it feels great in the moment...but I bet it won't feel too great when you're shutting your doors. If you're THIS reactive to constructive criticism, that's on you babe. If you think I would have come back after THAT reply, you're crazy. Treating myself, as a customer, regardless of my experience in the industry, politely would have garnered a positive change in my review. After that reply...Good luck hon! Edit to owners second response: my initial review was in no way rude, it was honest and I actually left out details to show kindness to the stylist. It's not her fault, I never even said her name and that was on purpose. No one was "put on blast" (how old are we?) It was simply an accurate description of my experience. Blaming me for the HUGE CHUNCK missing from my hair is funny. Yes I had cut my own bangs, no they were not fixed by the stylist...clearly, look at the picture. Since the owner knew who I was.
