I booked an appointment with Jocelyn for my first visit and unfortunately she had no idea what she was doing. She had just graduated beauty school a few months ago and kept going to the owner for advice and when she messed up the color we had to have Haley come in and fix it and finish my cut and they charged me not just for the original amount but for the color correction and I left paying well over $500. I only came back to see Haley because she did do a good job and I wanted to give another chance. She assured me it would be way less. At the cashier again over $400 which is insane for her to touch up my roots and give me a trim. I'm afraid I won't be back that is not sustainable. I wish I could post the photo here but my haircut did not fare well. It felt good leaving the salon after a basic cut and curl styling but after a wash at home it looks bad in a high pony, looks bad in a low pony. Not only did I not get the haircut I wanted, my pregnancy estrogen fueled thick hair was thinned out too much without my baby's help. Now it just looks like I could've gotten a better cut at a supercuts for 50$ and not spend 150$ for something like this. Not every POC's hair needs to be thinned out and the styling needs to match the hair type. I don't feel glamorous and confident at all :( That said I wouldn't write off the salon.
