Moved to the area and too far away from my hair stylist of 15 years. Not easy to replace and especially when deciding to make a style change. Decided to take a chance and went to Dolce in Carlsbad Village and David was my stylist. He hit the mark in every way! It was a risk as I was changing from my pandemic long hair to a new style. David spent a lot of time with me discussing what I wanted, looking at photos of me with other hairstyles as well as photos of what I had in mind. I felt so assured that he understood me and what would look best. He also said he would err on the conservative side and we could always do more. I am SOOOOOOO pleased with my new style! I've found my new place. Well done David & Dolce Salon! read more

I saw Parisa, I let her know that I was running late due to a car accident on freeway, I don't believe that I should have been charged full price for a service that I didn't receive. My haircut was rushed, she didn't wash, blow dry ,and barely styled my hair. I also had loose strands of hair left on my clothes and arms that I had to clean off. I am disappointed with quality of service and will not be going back. read more

Had a haircut with Daisy and she was excellent! I had been going elsewhere and just got used to the stylist and didn't realize I was missing out on a truly good haircut until a friend recommended Daisy. Definitely will be back and recommend! read more

I highly recommend Pamela for curly haircuts! I continue to come back because she does such a great job and my hair has never felt better. She knows her stuff! I also come to her for the temp gloss hair color for touching up my grey; she walked me through it and helped me pick out the perfect color, so I continue to come back for that as well. Overall just a great person and I really enjoy my time with her. The vibe in the salon is great as well, clean and bright. I also appreciated the nice coffee pick-me-up. read more

I cannot say enough good things about dolce Salon and specifically Julie, the owner, and Laurie Theodopolis a lovely person and an extremely skilled colorist and stylist. I was referred to Julie's salon by another salon with no booking available. I had a disaster to deal with and needed a color correction for a terrible hair color mishap. You see, I had been coloring my hair at home during all of the national lockdowns and at some point, I had purchased dye for my husband to cover his grey. His color is VERY dark brown. My color is Sicily blonde, which is a dark blonde with red highlights. Have you guessed what I did, yet? I touched up my roots with dark brown dye. An absolute disaster. When I realized what I'd done I showered it off and the dye contaminated the rest of my hair. (See photos) Julie asked her stylist Laurie if she could take on this challenge and she agreed. I am so grateful that she was able to help me and the result is beautiful! I have a new cut, gorgeous highlights, and contrast. Thank you Laurie and Julie for saving my hair. If you want your color and cut to be PERFECT, call Dolce Salon and ask for Laurie. read more

I cannot give this place enough stars!! I called to make an appointment with either Laurie or Julia based on reviews. I needed a haircut badly and after being botched before I was scared to say the least. I am so glad I made the appointment. Laurie is very kind. Listens to my issues and desires but she also works with what she is given! No over promising. My hair needed a healthy cut and nice style. She did just that and I will definitely be back! Dolce Salon - Cut off about 20" of thick hair! - Hair Salons Near Me - Carlsbad, California

Tina is seriously the best! I've been going to her for years but I am always amazed every time she works her magic on my hair. I live in San Francisco and I still go to Tina whenever I get the chance to visit Carlsbad, because no other stylist has ever come close to Tina's fabulousness. She knows all the trends and the best products, pays close attention to detail and delivers exactly what you envision. At my most recent visit I decided to go blonde, and Tina gave me the most gorgeous color! I get so many compliments on my hair and I'm obsessed with how natural it looks. I already can't wait for my next visit! read more

I have been in the search for the perfect looking, low maintenance hair for the longest time and I finally found it thanks to Julia! The best part is it looks high maintenance but I don't even have to brush my hair when I wake up. It's awesome because I'm a mom and don't have extra time! I also had my hair dyed for the first time and the honey chestnut ombré balayage is so natural looking and beautiful. Julia made me feel welcome the second I walked in and was very friendly and personable. She listened well and knew exactly what I was looking for. I enjoyed our chat and am obsessed with my new hair. Thank you, Julia, I will definitely be back! read more

Dolce Salon - Honey chestnut ombré balayage color and cut by Julia - Hair Salons Near Me - Carlsbad, California

Julia is the bomb! i love my new short look. Having stage IV rectal cancer she chopped my hair off and i love it.

I had the best experience at Dolce Salon! I got extensions for the first time and absolutely love them. Julia was so wonderful, she answered all my questions, worked with my hectic work schedule, and was so Incredibly patient. The rest of the staff was so welcoming and kind. I will gladly keep returning to Dolce Salon and especially Julia! Thank you lovely lady! read more

It really can't be overstated how skilled Tina is!! She completely evened out my hair with lots of highlights and dimension. She took the time to talk me through every step in detail and let me know what would be achievable in one session as well as down the line. Thank you so much, Tina! I will definitely be reaching out when I'm ready to go blonder. I do want to note that I'm still wary about management. After my initial review, I received a call from the salon owner, Julia, that was partially about her wanting to get me an appointment with another stylist, but was largely to harass me into changing my review. She told me I was mean and should feel bad about having written my initial review. read more

I'm not proud to admit it but I've been going to Super Cuts for years. I have super long hair and I just figured the cut wouldn't make a difference when the hair is so long. It does. I can't believe how much lighter my hair felt, it had so much more volume and looked great. Julia was a true professional. She was able to identify my hair care needs with very little input from me. I seriously had no idea what I wanted because I know nothing about hair. She made recommendations for my cut and layers. It turned out fabulous. Crystal chandeliers, perfect decor and interior design give the place a swanky vibe. They had great hair products that left my hair silky smooth. When I was sat down for the hair wash my head was gently held up by a bolster in the sink. It was so relaxing. I didn't have to flex my neck while getting a scalp massage. I was shocked by the price. ONLY $50. I got a wash, cut, dry for $50 flat. I'm so happy with the service I received. I can't wait to go back. read more

TINA IS AN ARTIST AND SAVED MY HAIR!!! Tina helped me out of a hair crisis when she agreed to do a last minute color correction on a dye job gone wrong (from a salon I won't name in San Diego). It was the day before a big professional event for me and I had ORANGE hair-- I had gone to the other salon for ombre, but that stylist accidentally dyed it magenta, had to bleach it again, and the result was completely orange, completely brassy, had bizarre placement/an aggressive horizontal line, and damage to my previously-healthy hair. It was SO BAD that people asked if I did it at home. It was SO BAD that the other salon refunded me without question. It was SO BAD that apparently my family secretly wasn't going to tell me how bad it was (until after it was corrected.) It was SO BAD that other stylists were scared to even try to work on it-- until Tina. She basically took pity on me and very patiently and carefully did like four processes to get it back not only to a normal human color, but even achieved the soft rose gold I was originally going for! I started the appointment totally freaked out and with low expectations for anything other than hair that wasn't orange anymore, and I left with a beautifully done, flattering color that I was actually proud to wear. I've gotten a TON of compliments from my colleagues over the last few days and I'm excited to go back to Tina-- I'd recommend her to anyone! read more

I have not had my hair cut and styled professionally in over 2 years and I was embarrassed to let the stylists know that I cut my own bangs. My husband and I were visiting Carlsbad for our wedding anniversary and I really wanted to pamper myself. The salon was within walking distance and it just so happened that at the very last minute, Julia the owner was able to get me into one of the stylists the same day I called. And talk about the Universe lining things up perfectly!!!! I showed up right on time, did not have to wait and had forgotten my mask (COVID) yet they have them there just in case. What an absolute amazing experience from the moment I walked into the extremely clean, bright, cool and overall positive, calming energy vibe until I walked out. My stylist, Tamra was so attentive and listened to my concerns of what I wanted to get done. AND SHE LISTENED! I almost fell asleep during the washing, AND the cut, AND the style. I'm not sure how particular others are about their hair and trusting a new stylist they've never used before, yet I had complete faith and confidence in Tamra and I was not disappointed. My cut was spectacular and Tamra made me feel and look beautiful. (and I don't feel pretty very often). The products she used on my hair were extraordinary and my hair smelled as amazing 3 days later as it did the moment I walked out of the salon. Thank you Tamra for making my experience so phenomenal, for making me look and feel beautiful for my husband on our anniversary and shout out to Julia for making it all happen. I've saved the address and phone number for Tamra and Julia because, I will be back. And for any of my California friends and family....if you're headed to San Diego or Carlsbad this salon is a must. I could go on, but to tell you the truth, words don't do this establishment justice. Trust me....and just go. You won't be disappointed. I'm in love with my hair....and my husband loves it too! ~Cha'Lyn read more

Lori is incredible!! She's very efficient, knowleagable and always holds a good conversation. When I first started going to Lori I had the worst box dried hair around. 6 years later my hair is silky smooth and my color is always on point. Julia is amazing!! Very detail oriented service as the owner and as a great hairstylist. I have gone there many times over the last year for my roots touch up and highlights when needed. She knows what I need and the right color even when I can't describe well. Also, sometimes when she's not available and I really need my hair done, then she would referred me to Louri , who is fantastic. She is very friendly, great customer service and responsive if I need to add more or less. She will get in to it as a good communication throughout the process. I can not describe how happy I am after my haircut by Julia! She tried to work with my schedule and was able get me in the next days. I was nervous because my hair was super long and was afraid the hair stylist will "trim" a lot off thats why I didn't get my haircut often but not with Julia. As soon as i saw her I was so excited because i knew she is a great hairstylist. Yet it is true she is so talented and very friendly. The way she hold my hair is like she's holding a feather and move it softly along the way. Her moves are beautiful. I will definitely coming back here! read more

Julia is amazing! She is a warm, easy to talk to person and she knew exactly what I wanted without having me to explain much at all. I have coarse textured hair and was slightly nervous at first due to my bad previous experiences with other salons. But you DO NOT have to worry about that with Julia. Dolce Salon - Days later and I still love my hair! Thank you Julia! - Hair Salons Near Me - Carlsbad, California

Julia cut my hair...actually- let me rephrase that..."Julia repaired the train-wreck sitting on top of my head." 5-6 months ago, I colored my own hair with Olia. It wasn't fantastic but it wasn't horrible, either. I was going for a Chocolate-brown color but Morticia, from the Addams Family, is the best way to describe it. I panicked and tried to get it out myself (insert vicious baking soda & clarifying shampoo- scrub, here)...so now I have Morticia's hair color with a racing stripe in the middle- LOL...wow. Fast forward 6 months, my hair is overgrown w/split ends and begging for a color, fix. I bought another box of hair color thinking eventually I'd get it right. ...but! I was lazy, I had a stressful week and all I wanted was for someone to take care of me and make it all go away- lol! I narrowed my choices down to 2 (Dolce & Studio 78)- Dolce offered me a same-day appointment so I leaped at it. I went on a Friday afternoon (which, according to Julia, is when it's quietest) and I was the only customer. The salon has a bright, inviting aura about it & a great view. She did everything she said she would and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Dolce's Facebook page & pics & Yelp reviews are legit. Julia is such a sweetie and I can't wait to go back. FYI- Check their FB page for deals/specials- they advertise on there. Also, it's probably just me but my Chase card is anti-Apple Pay. I trekked to the barbershop (next door) and pulled $$ out of the atm. :) It's no biggy but I started to panic when her register-thing wouldn't take my card (-gotta love that feeling!) read more
