I normally do write reviews that might compromise a business or a service provider but I'm still very upset about this last service I received from "The Suite Life - Carissa" and feel like I need to write this one. I received my first hair color treatment from Carissa back in April 2021. I was 4 months postpartum and my hair just needed some color and a haircut. For that service I bought a "balayage coupon". I reached out to Carissa and explained to her what I was looking for and my expectations, I also sent her many pictures. The of my appointment, once again we talked about what was possible to do with my hair and I was absolutely in love with my hair! I felt the best I've felt in a long time and o was extremely happy I went and to my hair done with Carissa. In August of 2021 I reached out to Carissa once again and scheduled another appointment. I sent her many pictures of what I was looking for and also explained that I would love to stay light and have my roots the same color as the middle and end of my hair, she agreed and said it was possible to do so. We agreed on price, and expressed myself that I really needed my hair to nice since I wouldn't have the money to get it done by someone if it wouldn't turn out the way we agreed, and set up an appointment for September. September 2021 came and we had our appointment. I arrived and showed her the pictures again of what I was looking for, just to make sure there was no communication issues. I asked for my front pieces to be lifted up and the roots to match the hair. Carissa agreed, confirmed and reassured she understood the color I wanted and the service I was looking for to receive. Carissa mixed colors and as soon as she stated applying "brown" color to my hair I immediately said it was too dark and would not turn out the way we agreed and I asked for the front chunk to be highlighted again?! All she said was "trust me". I was very uncomfortable and expressed my feelings many times. After washing my hair, I once again expressed myself and said "this is not what we agreed on and my hair is now very dark. Darker than my natural hair color would have been". Carissa once again said, "trust me, your hair is wet". Well I was already very upset and was certain that my feelings wasn't cared for and listened. Before paying, of course I paid because this whole situation just made me very uncomfortable but I said, I'm very unhappy. On the same day of my appointment, after the services, I messaged Carissa and expressed how upset and disappointed I was with the results. She said I needed to wash my hair a few more times. I asked for a refund, since the service and experience I received wasn't pleasant and Carissa denied. She offered to try to re-bleach my hair, I said I wouldn't want to bleach my hair again since she had used bleach a few weeks prior on my whole hair and my hair was already light and the color I wanted prior to this last appointment. I just didn't feel comfortable enough to go back and bleach it again. I've been washing my hair with Anti Dandruff shampoo since it is supposed to help with taking color off your hair and also using Olaplex to help my hair regenerate strength. I wish I would be able to pay someone else to do my hair, but being a stay at home mother, pregnant and a toddler, I'm not in the position to do so right now. Anyways, I'm still upset, not only because of the results but mostly because Carissa gave me the feeling, my worries and desires about my hair don't really mattered. I would give ZERO stars if I could .. the worst haircut/color I've had in 25 years. Going in I had lovely gold/blonde hair and only requested a root touch up to get rid of the grays. When I left, I had dark blonde hair in an ash tone. I simply hated it, but I was rushed out for her next client because as Carissa said 'I work fast so I can make more money'. When I got home, I texted Carissa to let her know I was unhappy with her work and she was completely defensive and rude refusing to see me again to make it right. This is the first time I've ever had someone do my hair who refused to satisfy the customer. She blabbered on about how she has years of experience, but she couldn't even remotely get my hair right. I can't even call her a stylist. Her experience obviously hasn't worked! On top of being a terrible 'hair person', she was equally unfriendly only talking to the other therapist in the room, on her phone, or figuring out how to bling her neon pink boots and Tesla out with bling and fake glitz, like herself. She was looking on-line for accessories instead of paying attention to her client! She couldn't care less about talking to or satisfying the unfortunate people who end up in her chair. Only the money .. Pathetic. And lastly, the scam she runs against Groupon. She pressures you into paying cash and not buying a Groupon so that she gets 100% of the money and doesn't have to pay Groupon. They are investigating her now. I made the unfortunate choice to pay in cash and give her a tip to be nice, and when I asked for a redo of the mess she made of my hair or my tip back, she blatantly just refused. Onto the next client. Stay away she's a fraud. read more

I've used both of the stylists, Breanna and Carissa over the years. Breanna is my regular stylist who keeps my 40 year old hair looking like a 20 something beach blonde. I always feel younger and fresh when leaving. Breanna also cuts and colors my daughters hair whether it's bright red, bleach blonde or whatever the teenager decides for the next rendition of the school year. Her styling for the dances are also on point! Carissa cut and styled my sons hair for years before he left for college. She was so patient with him. He's 20 with high functioning autism and so he's VERY particular about his hair and won't hesitate to tell you his interests (repetitively). Carissa also does my hair when Breanna is on leave and I am NEVER left disappointed! The suitelife is a small little salon on Sola shops with plenty of parking and a cute vibe. The other clients are always cool and it's a great time whenever there. I HIGHLY recommend both stylists and this adorable shop! read more

Best balayage of my life! I was hesitant to get my hair done since in the past I was almost always unhappy with the results at other salons. Carissa gave my the hair of my dreams! Breanna was very nice and I'm sure she can do a decent cut but I came to her for bayalage and left with fried, damaged hair that is breaking off. I can no longer wear my hair in a ponytail and have spent 5 months and a ton of money trying to safely grow it out. It will be years before it looks normal again. Here are screen shots showing that Carissa is full of it. The photos are not photo shopped. As I mentioned in my review, I was completely open and communicative about the products I was using. She was well aware of the keratin and even told me I was smart to do it at home. I have done keratin many times and it has never had this effect. I waited 2 weeks after the first color to do the keratin and the orange was happening BEFORE the keratin. I pointed it out at the first appointment. I have gotten my hair highlighted and cut 3 times now by Carissa and she is great!! It has been really hard for me to find a stylist that knows how to do blonde hair well, I have tried many salons and so happy I found Carissa. She knows how to have a good blend of brightening my hair but keeping it still natural looking. She is also pretty quick, which I appreciate, but not sacrificing quality at all, she is just good. I bought a Groupon for Balayage, Haircut, Deep Conditioning Treatment and Blow-dry, after much time doing research on reviews. Carissa called and we discussed what I was looking and exchanged pictures. I was excited for a new summer look. We texted and began some correspondence. At my appointment we reviewed once again what I was looking to do and what my current situation was. Admittedly I had tried going blonde on my own and failed to achieve that result. We laughed agreed to do blonde with low light roots for depth and highlights to give lift. After an hour or so we were ready to wash. Carissa did comment while washing out that she was scared for a minute because my hair looked so dark. She explained it was just because it was wet. As she dried my hair and then cut it I started to notice how dark it was, about a six base. I could see highlights but honestly the lighting is pretty hard to really see in the studio. The cut is so uneven in length on both sides. I ended up asking to blow dry and flat iron myself just to speed up the process. I think I was in disbelief as it was nothing like the pictures but I didn't really know how to say that. My appointment was at 2:30 and now it's 5ish. I knew she was ready to go home and I think I was kind of in shock. I paid with my Groupon and had given her a bottle of bubbles as a tip to take home. I'm including pics. Carrissa contacted me after learning of my Groupon negative review. She agreed to re do so I would be happy but has since taken that back saying she is not the stylist for me. I'm pretty upset that my hair is nothing like what I wanted, I am out the money I spent on the Groupon not to mention the gas to travel an hour each way. Now I need to find someone to do what I wanted and am out at least $120. read more
