I went in today for a trim, with a slight more drastic angle (showed her a reference photo) and she knocked it out of the park. Couple of years ago I was looking for a new hairdresser when my old one moved out of town. After reading some reviews I decided to try The Salon and was not disappointed. Having thinning hair I'm always doing short hair cuts and it is not easy to find someone who is skilled enough to do fine hair. From the very beginning Emily B. was amazing! I don't know how she does it but every time after seeing her I feel happy because I look awesome (at least 5 years younger with beautiful hair cut/color). I went in for a blowout and I absolutely loved it! It was my first time ever getting a blowout and I 100% recommend. It was such a fun experience but also very relaxing as well. I felt super comfortable throughout the whole experience. Isabella was my hairdresser and she was so sweet the whole time. I just noticed I was charged a $5 eco fee - what is that ? No one mentioned it . Please return ALL of my money. Gayle you only returned my money after I called and said I would post my horrible experience if you didn't refund my money . My pictures back up what I have posted here . You asked me to remove the post. Accused me of lying and called me unhinged. The picture of the receipt shows how you charged me. Your manager lied and gaslighted me. And charged me telling me you had full knowledge of what happened. So unless you're called out you're ok with your employees ruining people hair and charging for it. My hair has breakage around my face now. I will be seeking legal advice. read more

Just wanted to update that I got my pixie-ish haircut done today by Courtney and all my short hair queens should go to her or Sean! It was a similar situation to the past with Sean where I went in with little hair left to fix. They're both amazing! Both sat down with me and had above and beyond conversation of how they can fix my hair and what I thought of their idea to fix it. I was beyond pleased with both of them. Worth every penny! Service was to put in a couple of highlights and cover roots ..I was charge almost $300.00 I believe I was severely overcharged. I tried to explain to hair dresser I had just been laid off and to go easy on extras and she did opposite.. she keep in chair longer than ever been before why. I probably wont go back. Completely insensitive! Is that a normal charge for roots and a very few highlights around my face. I slamming people so i wont mention names but wow. Beware! This review is for management of the salon only. New in town, I researched hair salons in my area. I chose Headlines and was pleased with my stylist. However, when I went to pay, I noticed an additional $10 'eco fee charge.' I asked about it and was told that they add $10 for every color service and $5 for every haircut. I protested, saying I had not been aware of these fees. Also, there was no sign notifying customers. The receptionist said, "We recycle all the materials we use," and took the $10 off "this one time." She added that the "salon is very transparent about pricing on their website." Back home, I checked and could not find any notice of the policy. In my opinion, this is just a sneaky way to increase their prices. I'd be happy to pay a small fee for recycling efforts but find these amounts outrageous! read more

Great experience for my teen. She was happy with the cut, and she felt very comfortable. We will be back! This place is pretty large, and it was a Saturday, so it was busy as well. The din was super loud, and it's hard to hear the employees. I'd suggest installing some batting to help with sound bouncing around for a more relaxing experience, but I'm old. Lol! There's a large seating area in the middle of the salon where clients can sit, drink, and chat while their hair products set. I'm so late to this review but my stylist deserves the best review possible :) Lindsay has been doing my hair for a while now and she is the best. I've gotten just a haircut from her once, and she did colors on my hair twice. All of those times, she has been the best and my hair turned out exactly how I wanted them to turn out. I will attach photos down below for everyone to see :) Oh and she also gives the best head massages when she washes my hair! Lindsay is also the sweetest ever. I've known her personally for a while now and I can tell that she loves what she's doing from the way she talks about being a stylist. I don't know about you, but I'd definitely want to go to someone that loves what they do! If you are looking for a stylist, I would definitely recommend Lindsay. I use to come here before the Pandemic closure. After that I came once and wasn't thrilled will the gal that trimmed my hair. Since then, I had met a lady at an arts event whose hair I loved. She told me that Gina at Headlines does her hair. So I called and made an appointment for Gina. When I showed up, as always was offered champagne while I wait. Gina was very welcoming and pleasant. Since then, I've had Gina cut/style my hair twice and it's always exactly what I came for. That says a lot since I'm picky and a perfectionist. I've tried three different stylists here for hair styling/blowouts and have consistently gotten less than ideal results. My most recent with Kenzie was unfortunately the worst blowout I've ever gotten, my hair is not rough texture but was extremely rough and dry after the blowout and the style fell out within an hour. I really want to like the salon because it's close to my house and I like the Oribe products they use. read more

Like most it's been a year or so since I got my hair done. One thing about this salon is they are on top of communication-appt reminders, account details, tour of the salon, reviews/ways to improve etc. It was nice to be in the loop of everything. The salon itself have several stations where you could comfortably relax from the massage lounge where they shampoo/condition you're hair. It's asked guests are to be quiet in this room something I really liked. The middle area/ lounge where you can look through magazines, charge your electronics etc. The bathroom is kept very clean. My appointment was with Jennifer R. We went over my color/cut, I showed her pictures of what I wanted. Because she wanted to keep the integrity of my hair, we decided to keep it a solid color without doing any highlights. I appreciate her honesty, not being in the chair for too long. I've received so many compliments on the cut/color. I feel so much better, confident that I don't have that orangey color and dead ends anymore. Jenn is a miracle worker. When I first visited the salon back in May of this year, my hair was in dire need of a makeover - it needed a cut and some love and that's exactly what Pooneh provided. Since then, she's given me a haircut, full highlights, a toner this summer and most recently brought me back to full blonde and I couldn't be happier! The blending is superb and I am always asked if I'm a natural blonde - that's how you know it's the real deal LOL! I have never been treated so badly and I have never been so angry with a business. I made an appointment and for a certain day that I was driving down to San Diego. I left my home and traffic started piling up near Carlsbad and Encinitas. I called the Salon to let them know I will be about 10 minutes late and apologized that I did not want them to wait around. I cant remember her name but she said that is fine and they will still honor my appointment. I pull up to the parking lot and it is a madhouse. There were no parking spots in the shopping center. This is around 1 pm so people are out and about. I finally figure that I should park in the back. I walk in and I was 12 minutes late. 2 minutes more than I said to the girl on the phone and they said they cannot accommodate my appointment. I told them I could not park near the salon and I had to walk all the way from the back. This was my first time here. They were so rude and condescending. They did not care that their shopping center gets packed and busy. This is where I asked am I going to be charged for the appointment and they they will charge my card for the full amount of $150!! I could not reschedule and they were laughing at me and saying basically they do not care about the parking situation. Anyone that reads this review, do not give them your credit card and do not give them your business because they will not treat you well. They do not care about service and customers that want to give their business. I have never been treated like that and it was truly a horrible experience. read more
