Had a flat on my 2000 Cherokee that had 31 inch tires and like every other Jeep owner with larger tires I didn't have a spare. Called AAA and they sent ARS over and they arrived exactly when they said they would. Tee was the tow truck driver and he had my Jeep loaded up and on it's way to the tire shop very quickly. Called in a tow. When the driver arrived at the shop for the pick up, the shop told him they just needed 2 minutes and they would be right back. The driver insisted he wouldn't wait and left without making the pick up. Your job is to tow cars. Not waiting 2 minutes, shows a lack of patience, compassion and simply is just NOT good business. They never came I was stuck in the snow in a sedan with my kids for 4 hours. Then someone called they paid for an Lyft for my kids and me to get home and promised to come very my car out the next morning. So next morning I paid for a Lyft to get me back to the location of my car, they still weren't in route so I shoveled my own car out and went on my way they are ride, and non empathic or at least the assigned driver I talked to. He told me I didn't answer my phone the first time so he moved in someone else on his team would be assigned. I'd rate zero of if I could. read more

Very upset with this establishment. Seems like nice guys for the most part while they try to find ways to scam you out of more money. Number one my car on July 4th broke down on the side of the road and I had to pay to get it towed to a car shop that was trying to scam me out of 2500 for labor for a 600 fix. I brought the car to that shop from a very helpful and awesome tow guy the first time at 6am in the morning. (The shop did not open until 8am) when it did I gave them the keys and everything to service on my car. But when they tried charging me an arm and leg, I decided to go to someone at a better price. AAA sends Christopher from ARS to come get the car. Christopher took it upon himself to walk into the dealership to talk to the people about my car and upon them being mad I wasn't going to them they tell him that and he starts to go on about how he has to charge additional 95. Because AAA won't pay him for the service because it's being towed from another shop. Mind you, upon speaking to the first AAA rep they was able to work with me. what Chris then does is call AAA to speak with an entirely different rep that i did not talk to who said something Entirely different because they did not talk to me. And then goes nope have to charge you because they wont pay me. Number one if he would've been quiet instead of snitching he would've still got paid Because i turned those keys in myself and discussed with AAA that it was just at that location. It wasn't until Chris snitched that they did all of that. Number too he caused problems with my AAA afterwards. So upon me going to my car, to meet him after he screwed me over. The first thing he says out his mouth is "oh this is the mean one." After that I went off on him and he wanted to say "you taking money out of my pocket, I gotta eat." called me nasty and rude and was doing the most. then tried to charge me 210 for the service because "it says it's 23 miles but time was adding so it's 25 miles so that's $210." he had me so mad from his nasty behavior I couldn't trust my car would get there safe and relayed to him if it's anything that happens to the car other than what's already wrong with it I'll be giving him a call. He then states "oh I see what type she is." and tells his crew to take pics of my car. He then tries to change tune and say he will charge me 200 for transporting the car. which is still robbery cause had he shut his mouth, he would've still gotten it from AAA in the first place. So you still took money out my pocket!!!! He then was asked upon delivery of the car to call me so I can make sure it's in the right spot. He never does it , he drops it off to the mechanic and leaves. Very rude. Will never recommend or use him again. read more

I called the office but the manager couldnt resolve this (i had to call again to get a response). My car had a broken tie rod and is all wheel drive. So i asked for a flatbed. The driver showed up almost 2 hours late and said he needed a tow hook. He glanced around the inside of the car and didnt see it and informed me he would call for a tow lift. I immediately went to thw trunk and found the tow hook very quickly and showed it to him while he was still in his truck. For some reason he was still studborn and refused to follow up with the service. I asked for explanation and he said he didnt want to explain again. Update: driver called me later and said he didnt want to drag the car because the tie rod was broken. I would think a car with unstable suspension should towed on a flatbed. It may not be a good idea for a tow truck to used an unable wheel to hook up? But im not a professional. Additionally, this was communicated to the dispatcher when i first called. Update2. Apparently this wondeful towing compamy retaliated by lying in the notes (for aaa to see) He said i didnt have tow hook and he didnt know tie rod was broken. What a load of crap read more

If you use them then you need to be present and supervise them. Otherwise, be prepared for damage with them taking no responsibility!!! They didn't strap my car down properly which led to the straps rubbing paint off the wheel arches. In addition, they changed a wheel and snapped off the tabs on the center wheel hub. Wouldn't be too upset except my car only had 2,000 miles on it and they denied doing the damage!! read more

Great service! I called at 12:00, Saturday morning and the car was towed to my address by 2:00! This is AAA approved company that towed my with excellence. I didn't get the name of the person who took the call, but he was thorough and polite. Later Chris called to get further info and delivered my car with care and swiftness. The price was not my favorite, but it was comparable. I would use them again in the future. read more

You should probably tell your toothless drivers who represent your company to not harass women at royal farms and take it upon themselves to randomly walk up to their car once they purchase gas inside and start pumping it for them . Called to have a tire changed on a trailer and they responded quickly. Proceeded to wring three of the four lug nuts off (Old style Right hand threaded) Said they could not do it and would call another Tow company, for my 18 year old daughter who was 100 miles from home on the side of Route 100 West in Pasadena MD. incidentally they never did call anyone. Cost me 150.00 to replace the hub and a day off of work. Contacted the company and they said someone would call back. STILL WAITING................. Very bad ethics. read more

On January 15, 2019 I placed a call through AAA for a jumpstart of my 2007 Prius. AAA set out "Gil" from Affordable Roadside Service and Towing (ARS). The car was located at the end of the driveway, with the hood up. Gil arrived promptly. The Prius's 12V battery is in the trunk but has jumpstarting terminals located in the fuse box under the hood. Gil started prying at the top tabs of the fuse box with a small, bent, orange handled screwdriver. He scratched away at it for a little while when I reached in to show him how to properly open the fuse box lid using the press tab located on the bottom of the fuse box. He literally pushed me aside before I could show him how to open it an told me to "get in the driver's seat." As I was walking toward the driver's seat, Gil reached in with his hands and ripped the fuse box lid off, breaking one of the locking tabs on the box, which I heard ricocheting around the engine compartment. While in the driver's seat, Gil repeatedly told me to "give it some gas." This is a push button start vehicle, so pressing the gas pedal does nothing until the engine is electronically engaged. After trying several electrical connection points, and seeing showers of sparks raining down onto the engine as Gil made the connections with live terminals, the car finally started. I drove the car for about 45 min to charge the battery. When the wife came home that evening, I told her that the AAA technician broke the tab on the fuse box. We reported this to AAA the next morning with a picture of the broken tab. The car was due for service so we took it to the dealership in Bowie and had them also look at the broken fuse box tab that Gil had busted in removing the fuse box cover. The repair of the broken tab required removal of the entire fuse box, as the tab is not on the fuse box cover but rather the base of the fuse box. All in all, the repair of the damage caused by Gil's actions cost over $900 to repair. After 2 1/2 months of waiting to hear from AAA, they say that they are not going to pay for the repair of the damage caused by the ARS technician Gil, because he lied to AAA and told them he didn't break the tab. Wrong answer. I was there when he broke the tab. Gil is a complete liar and I am currently out over $900 because of his actions. Contacted ARS directly and have gotten no response. AAA takes no responsibility for the person they sent out to jumpstart my car, claiming that they are an independent contractor, even though ARS trucks have AAA plastered all over them. I did not call ARS, I called AAA. Just a giant money grab without providing any service or taking any responsibility. AVOID AAA AND ARS AT ALL COST!!! read more
