He's honest, extremely competent and always a pleasure to deal with. He was able to work with me and the insurance company to limit the time needed to repair my vehicle. When I returned to pick up my vehicle I simply could not tell any damage was ever done to it. It's comforting to know there are still people like Mike the owner that you can trust to do the job right the first time. Unfortunately, that has been my experience more times than I'd like to admit. The first shop I called gave me a bad feeling right away based on their customer service, but I still made an appointment. Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one. Sad to see there are services near me that take advantage of the elderly…read more I was trying to get my vehicle with from a dealer in N.C., safety inspected because they could not certify in Md. Had 11,000 miles on it. Environmental Auto failed it. Said it needed wipers and an oil change and wanted over $300.00 to do the service, what?? I declined and took it to the NAPA Store across the street, they said they wouldn't change the wipers as there was no need. Finally got the oil changed today as this was the recommendation on the sticker in the windshield. I took it back to Environmental Auto on the way home to get my sticker and they said nope, it's been 34 days since we did the inspection, we need another $119.00 dollars because it's over 30 days. I don't have another $119.00 to give them. Now I'm driving illegally waiting on my next SSI check to take it somewhere else.

That award is well deserved and we always bring our cars here for service of all kinds. I am a systems engineer by training and these guys "speak my language"! We have two VWs that are 10 years old and thanks to the Chesapeake Car Care team we expect another 10 years from these cars minimum! I have detected a pattern on the handful of one-star ratings here that are artificially driving down their Yelp score--someone with a beef (I am guessing a competitor who is unhappy they keep winning the Best of Pasadena award) asked a few of their friends to post a bunch of hyperbolic 1-star reviews--I notice that for each of these likely fake reviews the person has only ever submitted ONE review to Yelp ever--one guy even claims they forgot to put his oil filter on and it ruined his car--total nonsense. Bottom Line: These guys are awesome!
