I ended up not selling my bronco at that time, as it wasn't the time for me. May we decided we needed to get a larger vehicle. We went into the dealership, and worked with Scott McPherson again. We received a great offer to purchase on our bronco, and we ended up buying a 2023 Toyota 4 Runner. Scott was amazing, and really went above and beyond. There was only 1 key at the time of purchase, but he ordered another one right away. He was really helpful, and great to deal with. I highly recommend Scott McPherson and Toyota of Gladstone. I've bought from them before, and will definitely do it again:)!! Thank you. Dave and Stacey Meier.

Darren Matthews (General Sales Manager) set a professional, customer first tone, and Ricardo Lopez (Sales Representative) went above and beyond to make my Toyota GR86 purchase enjoyable and stress free. He was knowledgeable, patient, and truly listened to my needs. Teona Boyer (Finance Manager) made the financing process smooth, transparent, and even fun. This team delivers exactly what buyers want: fair pricing, honest sales, and excellent customer service. If you are shopping for a new or used Toyota near Portland or Southwest Washington, Toyota of Gladstone is the dealership you can trust.

She got excited. We looked up some on carguru and Platt came up in our search. Their place was few miles down the road so we went down thinking we'd be turned away. Peter was more than happy to accommodate. He let us test drive a couple different models including a Bolt. It really opened our eyes to these vehicles. He talked with us after the test drives and was happy to answer questions, give advice and info on all types of EV's (this was after close mind you). We weren't quite ready to purchase a car yet so we left. Peter's non-pushy attitude and kindness stuck with us. About two months later we decided to pull the trigger. I couldn't think of any other place to look for an EV. We had a list of options we wanted and Peter accommodated us and pulled a bunch of cars from their list. We test drove a couple AWD Nissan Aryia Engage+ e-4orce and really liked them. We went ahead and purchased one. It was a lease return with 15k miles. The EV was in great condition and the price was right. They were generous with our trade in and all the paperwork was very swift. I think we were out of there in under 2 hours. We highly recommend Platt Auto if interested in an used EV. You wont be sorry. They have a lot of different models to choose from.

The service department here is a mess. There have been so many miscues that it's hard to even…read morecapture them all. Today alone, they refused to perform warranty work, failed to document the actual reason I brought the vehicle in, and then misquoted me on the repair cost. As others have said, they are consistently disorganized and disinterested. There's a reason this dealership sits below 3.5 stars on Yelp. I hope others take that as a warning--after multiple bad experiences, it's clear that the common denominator is the dealership itself.

How does an automobile service manager lose business in ten seconds?…read more It seems like Armstrong VW in Gladstone, OR is working really hard to do just that. Today they informed me that my repair was ready to go. And I asked them to provide an Uber for me to take me from my house to the facility so I can pick up my car. It's something they've done EVERY SINGLE TIME IN THE PAST. Now they're telling me, they'll only cover $15 toward the cost of the Uber, and everything else will go on my bill. They said it was a "management decision." Let me just add, this is going to be an expensive repair (over $1000). They did, in fact, charge me the extra $3 for the Uber and when I spoke to the service manager, he threw his arms up and said, this is a company decision. And it's the same at every Volkswagen dealership in the entire Portland area. So lesson number one, don't take your car to the dealer. But it seems to me that any service manager worth their salt would have said something to the effect of "oh, I'm so sorry that you don't like this new policy. Let me take off the $3 charge as a courtesy, as a way to maintain your continued business... Buehler?...Anyone?...Buehler? I would strongly advise against buying a Hyundai from this dealership…read more Here's a rundown of my experience: 1. Pushed into a bad deal: I was pressured into buying a car with front-end damage. 2. Two sales people told me untruths about the car. "The car automatically comes with a 3 year maintenance plan from the manufacturer." I told him that the maintenance plan went away last year. Then he stated he has all his customers spend $4k to get all of their oil changes covered so they would be "Free"! "They have had the same motor in the palisade since 2020 and they actually found a way to up the horse power and torque for 2026." Not correct. They went from 3.8 liter to a 3.5 liter and the numbers went down, not up, in horse power and torque. 3.Text offer: I received a text offer of $7,000 off the MSRP with Costco pricing 4. In-person interaction: I went in to get the numbers all figured out, but they showed me $16,000 over the MSRP with various add-ons. 5. Inconsistent information: Every time I mentioned the number I was told over text, they said it was impossible to get to that number in person. 6. Promises of a better car: They kept promising me that they would get me the car I actually wanted to buy, but they all sold that day, so they could couldn't do a dealer trade. 7. Car I wanted is still for sale: The car I wanted is still available at the other dealership. When I pointed this out, they blamed someone else and never reached out to me again. 8. underestimated taxes and fees: They underestimated my taxes and fees on their offers so the out the door price looks cheaper, which resulted in a $600 difference from what I actually paid. It's important to be aware that they will often understate your taxes and fees to get you into financing.

In the end I was satisfied with the purchase agreement. The post sales experience was swift if not rushed, but after a day of haggling it's a welcomed pace. Then came the post drive away follow up. In a sealed packet, I received no second key. No problem, make a call within 2 hours of the sale, follow up with an email and all should be fine I'm told. Well, here we are, 7 weeks, 3 dealer visits, 10 phone calls and a thread of emails to folks either no longer there or unresponsive, and I'm still out a key, no doubt something I'll be liable for come term end. Even certain car features need both keys, so I'm out that convenience as well. When you fork over 10s of thousands of dollars, you expect more professional behavior. Only one responsive person in the experience, but she's powerless without the collective organization's follow through. I hope this ends well, but currently I can't say my experience has been anything but quintessentially below average.

Update: If you're thinking about buying a warranty from…read moreProsidium, let me save you the trouble: don't. I purchased mine through Tonkin Kia, and honestly, that's another reason to avoid them--clearly, dealerships that push this warranty aren't looking out for you either. Prosidium's superpower? Finding every possible, absurd, and creative way to deny your claim. Even my dealer shook their head and said, "Yeah... you could sue these clowns." At this point, I'm ready to lawyer up just to get a straight answer. Honestly, you'd have better luck: Placing a bet at a casino Buying crypto and hoping for a miracle Sacrificing a goat (kidding... maybe) Basically, anything is a better plan than trusting Prosidium. Their motto might as well be: "We'll take your money and creatively ruin your day." --- Buying a car from Kia Gladstone was like signing up for a very expensive prank show--except the only person getting pranked was me, and the punchline keeps getting worse. They sold me an overpriced Audi (from a Kia dealership... that should've been a warning sign visible from space). Then they convinced me to buy an extended warranty so worthless it might as well be printed on tissue paper. It doesn't even cover repairs up to the amount I paid for the car. Truly impressive. But the real masterpiece of chaos happened when I took the car in for a routine oil change--you know, the most basic, low-stakes service possible. Somehow, during this routine service, they managed to cause mechanical damage to my vehicle. Yes, the car came in running fine and left sounding like it needed last rites. When I confronted them about this, they looked me straight in the face and said it was just a coincidence. A coincidence! Because apparently cars randomly decide to self-destruct exactly when they're in the care of Kia Gladstone's service department. What are the odds, right? Now I'm stuck with a repair bill higher than the car's value, a warranty that's allergic to actually covering anything, and a dealership that shrugs off responsibility like it's a sport. If you're considering buying or servicing a car here, may I suggest better alternatives: Throw your money down a storm drain Shred your warranty into confetti And gently bang your head against a wall All three will be less painful and far more satisfying. Avoid Kia Gladstone. The only thing they excel at is turning a simple oil change into a financial disaster.
