The nice salesman took this photo before I drove off the lot.

The team was extremely helpful to me. I had a great experience and got to drive off the lot with a great car. I highly recommend coming to Dick Hanna Nissan to anyone looking for a great car with amazing customer service.

I just bought a Nissan Murano and needed a new fab for my vehicle as the one I was given was in poor condition. Dick Hannah charged me $339.00 for 1 fab and $70.00 to install, totalling $409.00. The cost for this part and service is outrageous! Unfortunately I learned later you can get two new fabs on Amazon for $40.00 and can DIY installing them. There are plenty of YouTube's on line demonstrating how to. My Co-worker did this and saved herself the grief of paying 17x"s the cost. If this the how Dick Hannah Nissan in Gladstone does business for a small part like a fab I would not trust them to work on my vehicle for routine maintenance. I will not be going back for future service as I do not trust the way they operate their business.

Workin with these guys and gals was the best!!! I have always purchased cars from crap dealerships and with my credit thought that's all I could do. I walked in here and they were able to help me out and get me into a reliable, safe and epic car. Best service ever!!! I'll be back in a year for the next!

The last text is 06-21-2019. Rachel never responded. The car was delivered Finally on 06/21 at 11:25 am - you think she would have told us

Just an oil change for my 2024 Altima. They inspected everything and provided excellent service.

Mel's Auto Repair - should they Venmo me $5? probably.

Mel's Auto Repair

(17 reviews)

I moved a way for a short time and was forced to deal with new mechanics on my classic rigs. "Snobs…read moreand ignoramists" was all I could find. "If it's over 20 years old, our computer can't tell us what the problem is". Are you kidding me?!!!!!! I'm so glad to be back and see Mel's Auto Repair is still here! I won't go to any other mechanic again. He fixed my truck and my Van and my Motorcycle and my car and everything I've ever taken to him. I won't ever go anywhere else again! It's good to be back home! CF

When the shop was owned by Mel, I could rely on the diagnostics and work. In November, Had an O2…read moresensor that needed to be replaced (to get tags renewed) and caused my check engine light to stay on. Replace the O2 sensor, light stayed on, diagnosed the intake manifold (much more $$), no change to engine light. Replaced another sensor and everything they could think of, $2000 later on my used car. Engine light stayed on. Decided to run it to DEQ FOR ME (and charged me for the time) so ensure I could get new tags, engine light is still on. In March, car was overheating and leaking coolant, and remnants of a broken zip tie was found in the engine. Took it back in, they assured me that it was the thermostat housing and not having to do with previous work, replaced the Thermostat housing (including the thermostat, all in one), car continued to overheat. Brought it back 3 separate times, for a couple days each time. Discharged stating it was fixed for sure (with paperwork stating same) charged $800. Drove for 5mins, car was overheating again. Mgr said that it's OK for temp to fluctuate as long as no RED. Also to continue to drive it, and send them videos of what is happening because they could not replicate. I know from having the car almost overheat before, that ALMOST overheating and OVERHEATING happens very quickly.continue to drive the car, sent several videos of the car getting 75% of the way up on the gauge, several times. Sent messages. Left voicemails. No resolution. Car has never been the same. Engine light still on. $2800 down on the car without any issues actually fixed. One thing to note: diagnostic fee is NOT worked into the labor and is $200 each time you take it in. Non negotiable.

I am genuinely puzzled at the negative reviews on here as it sounds nothing like the Uncle Al's…read morethat I have been coming to for years now. This shop has really fair prices and every issue I have had with my vehicles gets fixed period! I have had horrible experiences with other automotive shops in the past but Uncle Al's shop has always been upfront with me about my cars problems and their ability to fix those problems. Sometimes my car is done in a day and other times its a week which sucks but I know that they're actually FIXING my vehicles for me and I understand that their a small shop and may need a bit more time cause there's maybe like 2 guys working total. Regardless I can't stand it when mechanics BS me just to get my business only to screw me over in the end and Al definitely doesn't do that. He seems to be pretty honest and caring and I appreciate that.

That place is not good. Do not take your stuff there. I took my bike there to get turbo internals,…read moreput in it. And I got back a different used motor and he kept my new motor... And charge to me 8000. And it took him almost a year, the whole time my bike was there, he kept it outside right?Everything on it is ruined, rusted and sunbeat.... And I still ended up having to pay somebody else to go through the motor.. Beware of uncle al's.. automotive .. here is some pictures of the gauges that he ruined and pictures of a supposedly brand new motor with dirt stuck all over it..

Advanced Automotive of Oregon - They did a perfect alignment job on my 2ZZ-GE MR2 Spyder. Cleanest shop I have seen.

Overdue review from this past January. Our son had recently moved into the area and didn't know…read moreany good repair shops. We flew in to Portland from Hawaii to help him move. We chose this shop due to Yelp's 5 star reviews and were not disapppointed. Our son's car needed the basic oil/filter change, rotate tires, brake checks, and the transmission fluid replaced. We also had a busy schedule and we're not able to pick up the car before they closed. They suggested we pay the bill over the phone and we arranged to have the car parked and locked in their parking lot (since we had a set of extra keys); which was perfect. At least our son now has a shop he can depend on for future maintenance; which will be soon. :)

After looking at a couple different shops based on reviews, we went with Advanced Automotive to do…read morea pre-purchase inspection of a vehicle we were interested in buying (2017 Suburban Premier). After a few hours they called and went over the couple issues they had found and should be replaced which they were very nice and helpful. They found that one control arm had some play in it and should be replaced, the brake vacuum was bad, and one of the window switches auto up didn't work. After taking this to the dealer they fixed the issue and all was well. After driving 100 miles back home we noticed the car didn't handle any bumps or turns very well. We took it to a local mechanic where they found the following wrong with it- Self leveling shock system (air bags and shocks) torn and blown out- $1500 Compressor for shocks burnt out and hasn't been operational for a long time- $1000 Upper passenger control arm causing stability issues and creaking (needs replaced and alignment)- $950 We paid $199 to have them check the important components of a car before buying. Now we are stuck with a bill totaling over $3000 on a vehicle with less than 150 miles from us driving it. Do not take your car here for pre-purchase inspections. These are all common failure points for this vehicle with this many miles as confirmed with multiple other trusted local mechanics in our area. The least they could do is refund this inspection fee to help cover the cost of repairs of a car we wouldn't have bought in the first place if due diligence was done as we trusted it would be.
