Dr. Najem is the GOAT, and I loved our little gossip sesh about local healthcare personalities. The new rx is perfect and I adapted to needing progressives in less than a week. My glasses took just over a week to be made. One note, the selection of a brand called "police" is disproportionately large but probably well received in a neighborhood like Dunning. Dr. Najem took the time to discuss my cataract issue and what needed to be done. He looked thru my previous eye scans and we determined this time no glasses were needed, but was time for surgery. The office staff was efficient in providing help and information to head off to a cataract surgeon. I really didn't appreciate how good Dr. Najem's patient care was until I came back after using W-P (you know who) for a few years due to their proximity to my home. First, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and makes it easy to book an appointment. Yeah, it can be a hassle to get there but the appointment is thorough, and it is with a professional who is looking out for your health, not seeing how many appointments he/she can run through in a day. Instead of being sent home with a pat on the head and 12 sets of frames being mailed to me a week later, I go home with a couple kinds of contact trials to see which feel best after a few days. It's like the difference between having a suit tailored and buying one off a discount rack. The care and precision make all the difference. He's a solid guy, too. 10/10; would definitely recommend. read more

Very good service here! Eye appointments are quick but thorough. Dr. Najem is very hospitable and informative. He gave my brother a diagnosis for his dry eyes and gave him special wipes for his eyes as his solution. The price for buying eyeglasses here isn't too bad and service is trustworthy. read more

I think I need to share our bad experience at Affinity Eyes Care. Although I would recommend the doctor for an eye exam, the rest of experience was terrible. We prepaid over $500 dollars after insurance for a pair of glasses because in the past with other places within two weeks we had our glasses, so why not pay it all and just get my new glasses? We were patient up to three weeks, without receiving any calls on updates of the reason for delay. When we called there were so many excuses of why the glasses where not ready (something of insurance, something of lab, even told UPS lost the glasses). When I had asked to cancel (the problem is they had my money already), there was more excuses, until the person said, "thank you," and hung up on me. We finally received the glasses, but I don't think I could or anyone should have to go through such an unpleasant experience. In some of the other comments of unsatisfied customers, there was a response from someone with an apology. No need for that. You should have helped out during this whole process when things started to get off track. read more

I see that I reviewed Affinity Optical in 2009, and seven years have passed (wow, but that's a whole other story). My family is still going to Affinity, and we remain very happy with the care and service provided to us. Dr Najem is running the store now, with Dr Lewis in Kenilworth at Eyes on the Lake. Dr Najem always takes his time with me, and I always feel like I am getting a really thorough medical exam, albeit one that is concentrating on my eyes. He explains what he is looking for, which I really appreciate, and if I have a question he never brushes me off, he always gives me a serious, thoughtful, answer. I love that about "Dr. Bill". This shop has been here for years. Exactly how many years I'm not sure. They have a lab and an eye doctor on the premises. Their prices are very reasonable. which is always a good thing. They also specialize in fitting patients for contacts. They are in the Jewel strip mall that has a bunch of stores. The lot is usually pretty full. I've been coming here for years now. The doctor is great as well as the staff and overall service. The prices aren't too bad either.

I went to Affinity Optical since it was listed as an in network provider for my insurance. I was extremely disappointed by the customer service received from the staff especially after the order was placed. This place has no interest other than taking your money particularly if you have insurance. The frame prices are exaggerated to a rip-off level. A frame advertised elsewhere for $ 80 was sold and billed to insurance for $189. When I talked to Samantha, she indicated that there is nothing they would do and are free to sell at the price they desire. Don't go there, you will overpay for suboptimal service!! Even if this place is an in network provider you ll pay more after insurance!! On a side note, the doctor (Dr. Nejim) was passing by and didn't even bother to say hello when I greeted him. I am Extremely disappointed for getting such service while trying to support a local business!! read more

From the time I reached out to Affinity to see if they accept my insurance, they have provided nothing but spectacular service. Friendly. Kind. Patient. Helpful. Went in for my appointment today (and my husband) ... and they did not disappoint. Great service, very friendly and professional, and honest. So I got a new prescription because I was seeing double with the old one. Good job, I can see great. So I ask the girl if the can have sun glasses put in my old frames. Yes. $25.00. Didn't use them mush but thought I would try them for bowling to cut the glare. I'm seeing double pins. I take them back and get "sorry they put film on your old lenses" We will give you 20% off and charge you another $60.00. Here I thought the frames were what cost. I love Affinity Optical. Dr. Najem is the only optometrist I trust with my eyes. He is extremely thorough and patient. I have gone to several optometrists/ophthalmologists in the past and none gave me such a thorough and professional eye exam. Dr. Najem really cares about his patients. He answers all of my annoying eye questions, which I really appreciate. Dr. Lewis is also great- very personable and professional! The office was recently remodeled and looks very upscale. The customer service is also great. I recommended Affinity Optical to many friends and all had a good experience each time they went, as well. This is the only place I will go to for myself and my children. It is the perfect example of how shopping small and supporting local businesses is better than big box retailers. Both Dr. Lewis and Dr. Najem are extremely professional and the front desk staff always make sure to stay within my budget. One word of advice-- for glasses, purchase the anti-glare option it is definitely worth the money. William you were not there , and do not know what was said to me . Yes I did receive one call from you , Thank you - I did call you back left a message , but did not get a call back. I would very much like to speak with you as my husband really did like you and felt bad going someplace else actually . But Samantha told me in fact several times , "These glasses aren't even worth fixing " ( her exact words ) as well as , When I asked her 3 times to please call the manufacturer as I felt they were worth fixing and she finally did it , but did it and acted like she was annoyed and bothered that I kept asking her to please do so. She also said it would be at least 2 weeks before part would come in and you wouldn't be able to look at them till the next week at the appointment for our new glasses , Not the next day . Her customer service was very poor at best and acted like I was bothering her , because I kept asking her to please find out the pricing as I knew these would be a simple fix and he could have these as an extra pair . Instead because of the poor customer service we spent our whole day running to 3 other Eyeglass stores till we finally found , The Eyeglass Shop. Which Im thankful for finding Minas , But this is just very frustrating as my husband works 60-70 hrs driving a week and the last thing he wants to do is spend his only day off driving from eyeglass store to eyeglass store for a simple fix that should of been done where we purchased them from. You lost a good customer. Again my husband really liked you , but you need to train your employees better because its a shame as we were happy with Affinity until this happened to us. read more

I've been coming to this office for a few years now and always have a good experience. I see Dr. Barabas and he is great with contacts, he was the only one who found me a contact that wasn't tissue paper thin or a hard contact. The contact I used to wear is no longer made, it was actually made to fit your eye not like most of the one size fits all, thin contacts of today. I don't think I've ever waited longer than ten minutes to see the doctor. Everyone is pleasant and professional and there is a good selection and prices of eyeglasses.
