The place I usually go to near my home in Thousand Oaks does a decent job, but the staff is rude and unfriendly, so I decided to try somewhere new. Important detail: my Gel-X set was done at a different salon. When I first went to Nail Blvd, Kevin was doing a refill, not a full set. That first refill was good. Kevin was really nice, the salon was clean and pleasant, and my nails held up just fine. I left thinking I might have found a new spot. Two weeks ago, I went back again for another refill, and whatever was done this time was completely different. Four days later, my left pinky nail broke off and took my natural nail down really low. It hurt. I called and Kevin told me I could come in and he would fix it, but I didn't have time to go back right away. After that, everything fell apart. One by one, my nails started bending, breaking, and ripping my natural nails. They were incredibly soft and flimsy. Every time I scratched my leg or did anything normal, the nails would bend and then break, damaging my real nails underneath. It was honestly the worst nail experience I've ever had in my life, and I'm 45 years old and have been getting my nails done for a very long time. I don't know what was done differently the second time, but it clearly wasn't the same as the first refill. Kevin is a nice guy and the salon itself is nice, but the quality of that second visit was unacceptable. I won't be going back. Thankfully, a friend recommended another place in Newbury Park that I went to today, and it was the best nail job I've ever had. I've officially found a new nail salon. Consistency matters. The first refill was fine. The second was a complete disaster. Based on that, I do not recommend Nail Blvd.

They didn't have OPI Put it in Neutral so I had to choose an "off brand" similar sheer pink. 4. No hand massage. I went once but didn't return. When my friend suggested they file her big toe a little, they started speaking in a foreign tongue back and forth for a bit which felt off if not Rude!! Besides that they were nice people, but the service was bare-minimum and overpriced. Skip unless you're in a huge rush and just need color on your toes. Lastly (just for giggles) the final blow upon leaving we noticed the nail technicians were just sitting around gabbing with each other! To think we got the bum's rush, and they had no other customers to service ;-(
