I've been going to the Aesthetic dental since 2009 or 2010. I love going to the office. Dr. Dinh's is so much fun and great. She always have something for patients to enjoy. One of the thing that I really thought that it was amazing was During Chinese New Years she will have two dollar bills putting on the money tree and then we can get them. Now she has Boba teas in the office for patients. I love staring at her collection of Cherry Blossoms ceiling Well I'm getting some kind of treatment and all kinds of music. I love staff members there. Everyone is super friendly. Dr. Dinh is amazing Dentest I want to recommend who is scared of Dentest. She will take care the best possible. I've been coming to aesthetic dental now for a number of years now and appreciate Dr Dinh and her staff keeping my pearly whites clean. I think it's been sometimes hard to get ahold of them if you're a new client because it seems like they've been at max capacity with the existing client base as it is. I do enjoy that over the years they've been giving out boba for patients (milk tea mondays, tea time Tuesdays) definitely one of the perks of coming here even though I know boba isn't the best for your teeth! I never thought there would be a day I'd look forward to going to the dentist. Dr. Dinh (and staff) is a life saver. I first found Aesthetic Dental when I broke my front tooth longboarding. It was 6:30pm on a Friday and I didn't have a dentist. Panicking, I Yelped for a dentist near San Jose and Aesthetic Dental popped up. Even though they close at 7 and it would take me 15 minutes to drive there, I figured it'd be worth a try. With my front tooth on the line, I knew it wouldn't hurt to ask. Even though Halloween had _just_ passed, I really didn't want to walk around with half a front tooth. Thankfully, one of her assistants (Terry - if you're reading this, message me; I owe you) picked up the phone and convinced Dr. Dinh to take me in as an emergency case. She gracefully accepted and glued the broken part of the tooth back on. She warned me that I might need a root canal in case of infection - but that we should just try gluing the broken part back on first. Having gone to dentists in the past who tried to sell me on unnecessary procedures, I was shocked that Dr. Dinh would be so honest even though she could've made a lot more money by performing a root canal. Since then, I've been to Aesthetic Dental many times - since I didn't go to the dentist throughout my college years (and a few years after), I needed a bit of work to be done. She filled in a bunch of my cavities, and even did some small ones for free of charge. She's a great conversationalist - she can talk about anything from racial politics in San Francisco to dental school at UPenn to Pokemon Go - and I always leave the office laughing. Her assistants are very friendly as well; Kenneth taught me about working as a dentist in the prison system while he cleaned my teeth (did you know they can only use plastic tools? Makes sense, but never thought about it). The receptionists are great as well. They make it easy to reschedule appointments (which unfortunately, I am ashamed to admit I take advantage of too much) and never keep you waiting long. There are always treats like cupcakes and mochi in the office, which I appreciate (even though it is a little ironic)! The past 2 years, Dr. Dinh has even delivered treats to my house for Christmas - one year, it was a box of cookies and the next an entire dozen of mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. That stuff is expensive! Even though I live in SF now, I haven't gotten a new dentist. I see no need to; Aesthetic Dental is worth the commute. I'm looking forward to my next check up! read more

Aesthetic review Worst customer service ever! Rest assured that their main priority is lining their pockets and upselling services that you don't need so that they can make money off of you. They tried to pressure me on several occasions to do a deep cleaning even though my gums were perfectly fine because my insurance company would pay handsomely for it. I didn't even feel like I had a choice. At this point it was coercion. That's not even the worst part. They'll message you the day before your appointment and then tell you that if you don't cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours then you will have to pay a $50 fine. I asked them why they didn't message me 48 hours in advance and they lied and said they did, even though I could see the message history on my phone. I told them I couldn't go because of the risk of contracting COVID and they said they would still need to charge me the $50 fee. I asked them to make an exception as I've been their loyal customer for almost 5 years now and they didn't budge. I then asked to speak to the manager and even though he had mentioned the manager was a 'she' earlier in the conversation, he put one of his buddies on the phone who pretended to be the manager. I asked to escalate to the owner and they said she would be busy and won't be able to call me back. Shame on them for treating a 5 year long customer so poorly. The owner couldn't even spare 5 min of her day to give me a call. Their treatment of patients is appalling. When I told the person over the phone that I would take my business elsewhere, he basically told me to go ahead and that they didn't care. Do yourselves a favor and take your business elsewhere, somewhere where they'll treat you like a human being. read more

A dental spa! I've always HATED going to the dentist until i discovered this place. They treat everyone sooo nicely here. I love my day before confirmations via email. It's so much easier to communicate since i'm always on my phone anyway. The RDA's are great and knowledgeable. I love that they give you a pillow and eye protection. One star is too ouch for people like this. I haven't gone in their clinic yet but just over the phone it's enough to not go there. Worst customer experience. I was a patient and loyal customer to this dental office for a little over 2 years. Dr. Dinh and her staffs are great people with very fun personalities. They actually made my trips to the dental office very much enjoyable. The quality of work, for me at least, is another story. I had some fillings done at the office. One happens to be in the front. A few months after the filling, I notice a little brown dot in the front teeth. I didn't think much of it, since it wasn't too noticeable. Later I had two root canals done with her. Everything was alright until a few months later. I saw an infection on the gum next to the tooth where I had done one of the root canals. Already skeptic about her work, I went to check that up with another dentist. According to the new dentist, there was a fracture in the root canal and bacterias were leaking out which eventually led to the gum infection. An x-ray showed the same problem with the 2nd root canal, but it wasn't as bad as the first. Long story short, I had to go see an endodontist to repair and treat the infection. That was really expensive! On top of that, after repairing the root canal, I had to get a new crown. My out of pocket expense was crazy! I might have to go back to repair the 2nd root canal soon if it gets worse. Well, the little brown dot in the filling...i heard it's called a void. Now I have to fix that filling as well. I could have easily ask Dr. Dinh to fix all of this for me instead of going with a different dentist, but I just want to want to deal with it anymore. I'm sorry to give this place a low rating. The people here were very friendly and nice. I also liked Dr. Dinh a lot but I don't think this place takes responsibility if something goes wrong. My dad had his teeth pulled and got an infection. (They suggested him to pull teeth to avoid infection...) When we called the office and scheduled for an emergency appointment since my dad was in A LOT of pain and it was very serious... they ended up giving him some antibiotics... but we needed another appointment since it wasn't helping much. They ended up cancelling the second appointment and we couldn't get someone to schedule another appointment. The entire situation was a nightmare. :( We ended up going to another dentist to fix my dad's teeth problems. My mom tells me not to blame Dr. Dinh since it seemed like she was dealing with a loss in the family at the time. Maybe they should have referred us to another doctor since they were busy instead of telling us that they could fix the problem--only to cancel the appointment. They charged a lot on our insurance too... It seems like they sucked out all dental insurance money from our family. I don't know why they charged so much... we even had to pay extra bills. We figured that it would be okay for us to pay extra as long as they did the job right... I also feel bad because we decided to go to Dr. Dinh because I found all the wonderful reviews about her dental office on Yelp. I constantly wonder if we would have ended up in the same situation if it had been my mom who was looking for a new dentist. If your teeth has problems--go find another doctor. If you are just looking for someone to clean your teeth and an occasional checkup--this place is great since everyone is friendly. I gave this place two stars because they called back and apologize for a very unfortunate first time experience. The Doc who called seems very nice too bad I or my family probably won't get to experience how good her work is. So very disappointing! Because of all of your good reviews, I was actually looking forward trying out a new dentist. So I not only made an appointment for myself but for my mom also. They schedule to fit us both in, mine at 9am and her is at 10am. Even with a small child we manage to be there 10min earlier, and since I knew we had to fill out paper work I had mine and my mom printed out online and completely filled out. Because I believe in punctuality. This way if I'm running late I had all the form fill out so that way they won't have to wait for me to fill them out and slip late on the day, but so much for that. The place was nice, very friendly people. I got called in finally 30min later. I understand they are running late.. it was fine. My son is happily playing with my mom out in the waiting room so it was no problem. Well due to a personal circumstance they cannot do my cleaning that day so I ask if they can see my mom in my place so we don't have to wait longer. They took two more patients ahead of my mom and finally I just asked why they couldn't take my mom in my place. Not sure what the reason was but now they are running late again. It's 10am now and they probably wont be able to see her until some time later. So I asked to please just cancel her appointment because i have to go to work and can't wait for another hour or possibly more. So after and hour sitting in this dental office we were on our way home with no one's teeth got clean. Had to drive home to drop off mom and baby (who thank goodness is the only one in the car who is in a happy mood.). Then I suddenly realize they never gave me my insurance card back.. so had to drive all the way back to get it. read more

I must say I was kind of disappointed with this place.... I didn't even make it to the office either, I called made an appointment and scheduled it for a Wednesday, It was a week notice and before I got off the phone with the receptionist she said I'll call to confirm a few days before I said great. Well Monday came no phone call, Tuesday no phone call, Wednesday morning I call to confirm for my 330 appointment and a different receptionist said "your appointment is for next Wednesday"... I was pissed! I schedule my appointments around my work schedule and now I have to look and schedule it for another week out!!! Thing is when I called I specifically said I will be a new patient and I need to come in within a week... And she said OK! I figure if they can't schedule a simple appointment I don't want them drilling in my mouth!!! read more

I am deathly scared of going to the dentist cause I'm traumatized when I was little. The feeling passed till adulthood and I find myself giving up on dentists. Today I finally made an appearance back, even though Ashamed and embarrassed I neglected my teeth. I got teeth cleaning and they didn't once made me feel guilty about not having regular cleaning. The hygienist made sure to check with me every min to see if I was okay or in any discomfort. It wasn't too bad at all. He spent quite some time and was vey through in the process. Dr. Dinh is the best at making you feel at ease and laughing with you. Even though your nervous and scared as hell. I have a follow up in a month for deep cleaning and one cavity. I think they must have some kind of reminder system that tells them the things you talked about at each visit. I only say this because there is no way they have such great memory!! I love Dr. Dinh, love her love her love her. I actually enjoy coming to the dentist's office now, which sounds crazy seeing as I was absolutely petrified to step into one for the past five years. I found her through yelp (thanks y'all!) when I had a missing filling develop into a painful mess; first time she looked at me, she said, "yup, root canal, you wanna do it now?" Never looked back since. She is funny, candid, warm, goofy, but most importantly, she knows her s*#t. She goes to conventions and keeps up on the latest practices and technology/products(?)--you can tell this is her passion and she enjoys making people happy. I have been a patient of Dr. Dinh for many years. My husband (boyfriend at the time) was the first one to go and then I went and never stopped going after all these years. Dr. Dinh is just amazing, thanks to her I got my braces and fixed my open bite, she was so encouraging, patient and helpful. I could have never gone through the whole process without her! Her team is equally amazing, everybody at Aesthetic is very kind and helpful. I have been there with my 7-month old baby and they have hold her for me while I was having my teeth cleaned. Who else does that? My 2-year old son had his first visit to the dentist today and it went very well, Dr. Dinh checked his teeth and even took X-rays (thank you Hunh and Fabiola for all you help and patience!). They also gave him stickers, toys and even showed him a dragon that came with his own tooth brush and let him play with the dragon brushing his teeth. It is hard for a 2-year old to sit still, all the staff was very patient and helpful, it was just a dream come true. After our visit, Carmen emailed us with many pictures illustrating my son's first day at the dentist. Again, who else does this? Also, one thing that I love is that Carmen always emails you days in advance to remind you of your appointment, they are all very well organized and I have never had any kind of problem rescheduling. Wow, I normally never say this about any doctor/dentist/etc, but i actually look forward to coming here! Dr. Dinh knows her stuff! Her and her staff does great work, and they make everything as least painful as possible. I recently have had my wisdom teeth pulled, and to be honest, it wasn't even that bad. They even called me the next day and made sure everything was OK. But what really stands out about this office is the personalities; everybody here is nice and super friendly. It's not always straight business like other offices "GIVE ME UR INSURANCE CARD AND SIT DOWN" type of place, whenever I come in, we're always laughing and joking around. So my visits are always pleasant! The hubby and I have been going to Dr. Dinh for seven years now, and we've never had any reason to consider other dentists. She's still the same bubbly self as when we first met her. She openly complains that we are two of her worst patients because she doesn't make any money off of us, but that's all her fault! She's been doing such a good job of keeping our teeth healthy that we haven't had any dental issues these last seven years. In fact, our teeth have gotten even healthier! This might sound weird... but I actually had fun going to the dentist. So much fun that I had to rant and rave about it on Yelp as my first actual review. I want to first thank all you Yelp'ers who helped me find a new dentist and my first visit exceeded all my expectations. The staff were super friendly, cracking jokes, and were understanding of my tardiness due to traffic. Once I got my actual check-up, I met with Dr. Dinh who you will soon know as one of the funniest people around! Although she is personal and friendly, you can also tell she knew her stuff. She was the first person who did additional checks such as oral cancer and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and understand my dental hygiene. Also, the office has some of the latest technology including digital x-rays and a movie player so I watched Catch Me If You Can on the VR Glasses. Bottom line, Aesthetic Dental is friendly, funny, but also knows there stuff. I wouldn't mind going there any day, just wish I didn't have to go for cavities. read more

I recently moved up from Los Angeles and need a dentist. Yelped suggested Dr Dinh. I made an appt for normal cleaning. I am very impressed about Dr Dinh's positive, energietic, caring attitude. She answered all my questions with courtesy unlike many dentist that give you the "i know everything attitude." Her staff is very friendly and polite. I enjoyed my visit and will be back in 6 months for another cleaning. Oh btw, I inquired about bad breath and teeth whitening and when I left, Dr Dinh gave me a bag full of freebies. Even the receptionist was surprised at how many items I got. If you are searching for a dentist, give this place a try. The service and care you receive is exceptional. This place is GREAT. Ok, now I've never hated going to the dentist or doctor as a kid. I was never one of those kids scared of the drill. I've always had a pleasant time at the dentist. However, I did recently have a horrible dental experience that you can already read as one of my Yelp reviews. So with that other place being a 1 star (yelp doesn't allow zero, I tried), this place is definitely a 5 star. This is how a dentist should be. Not painful. Also, I don't wait long when I show up for my appointment. One of my biggest hassles when going to the doctor/dentist is the waiting. The time it takes out of my already busy day. I like not having to wait. Why not just change my appointment time to 30 min. later if I need to wait 30 min. But here, I don't have that problem at all. Which is wonderful. The staff is nice and friendly. So is Dr. Dinh. I actually find myself responding to their conversation with me while my mouth is wide open full of dental instruments. The weird thing is that they are able to understand me. They must teach a linguistics course in dental school. This is my dentist now. And I actually refer this place whenever anyone asks me about dentists. Which to be honest isn't that often, but I think I have told about 5 people about it so far. She not only improved my overall dental health , but also she took the fear away. This is what I had done so far, She fixed the gap I had on my front teeth, and I had 2 deep cleanings and 2 wisdom teeth pulled. Not once did I feel the pain, The front desk staff is courteous and very friendly, every trip to her office is like a nice teeth spa, even including the teeth extraction. Aesthetic Dental has been high on yelp searches for years. I know I searched for her at least 5 years ago. It was the case then and it's still the case today. I guess not everyone can win this popularity contest. And patients haven't felt the need to be vocal about why they love their dentist. The entire staff is cheery and happy to come to work. Dr. Dinh shows her appreciation of them constantly and it gets naturally passed onto the patients. Cleaning my teeth isn't easy, but it's done quickly and effectively every time I come. I swear that my sweet tooth ran my life for a time and I needed to have a mess load of cavities filled. Fast forward a few years later and it's become less of an issue. My gums though, that's an on going battle. Remember to floss. Remember to floss. Even after coming home from a party, 1-2 am in the morning. I'm praying that I came to my senses soon enough and won't need dentures when I get old. Dr. Dinh gave me a heads up that people that get dentures, have bone-loss and don't have the jaw to support the skin. So they look older than they really are. Scary! I just came back from the dentist and had the best experience that I had to write about! It was time for me check-up and I went to my dental office. To my surprise, my dentist had just purchased some movie glasses and I spent the whole time enjoying watching Will Smith in Hitch. Too cool! The time just flew by and before I knew it, my appointment was over with not even a hint of pain. Even without the high tech gadgetry of the digital x-rays, computers, and movie/IPOD glasses, Aesthetic Dental can stand alone! First of all, the office is clean and neat. You get a courtesy telephone call the day before to remind you of your appointment time. When you come in, you are brought promptly to the back without any real waiting time. Now that's service! The staff is very friendly and professional. They know everyone by name and they are sure to try to cater to your every dental need. But this place really go above and beyond to give people superb treatments. Blasek and Laurito are caring, responsive and up to date Dentists with the latest information and the newest technologies and equipment. For example, they have cameras the size of a pen to take pictures of a fractured tooth. They and the staff are very friendly and comfortable to be with. They tell you what is being done at all times. The front staff are extremely friendly and assist in all manners of scheduling, billing and administration. The practice uses a text message or email reminder system for upcoming appointments two weeks and 2 days out. (I honestly don't want to tell the whole world how great Dr. Dinh and her staff are because I'll have to wait THAT much longer to get an appointment! I changed my mind and am writing this review now because if it weren't for the positive reviews on Yelp, then I wouldn't have "seen the light") Aesthetic Dental is the bomb diggity and *THE* place to get your choppers cleaned. Each staff member from Aesthetic is friendly, courteous, personable and caring. I have never, EVER felt so taken care of when going to a dentist. Dr. Dinh has a genuine heart for her patients and really wants each of her patients to just take care of their teeth. She took the time to answer ALL of my 12,789,798,324 questions and explained what steps I need to get my teeth in pristine condition. Anita is super real, down to earth and made my x-ray and cleaning process go by super smoothly. Elaine (Nuna) and Carmen in the front are always cheery and very accommodating for appts. My grills stain pretty easily and haven't been looked at by a dentist as meticulous and detail-oriented as Dr. Dinh, who got up in the nitty gritty and crooks and crannies to remove the staining in between the teeth. Some of you folks are raving about their movie goggles, which are pretty cool, but I was having too much fun talking and enjoying the gentle cleaning that I didn't even know what the movie was about! If you want a dentist that is up-to-date with her dentistry skills and whole team that seriously makes you feel like you all were homies since kindergarten...then Aesthetic Dental is the place to go to! read more

The best dentist I've been to. Dr. Dinh is very nice and gentle as she does the cleaning. All the staff members from the receptionist to the assistants are very nice and friendly. They offer those video shades you put on and you can pick from a pretty good sized collection of movies and tv shows to watch during your treatment. Oh, and she offers flavored paste and again there's a wide variety of different flavors. It's little touches like this which show that Dr. Dinh is very meticulous and thoughtful. love this place.. and i know its a dentists office. Thanks to Dr Dinh and her staff I am no longer scared of going to a dentist. Dr dinh is absolutely amazing and fun and her staff is well trained and thorough. I have been going here for several years. They are pretty much on time with appointments.. clean office.. pleasant people. If you are looking for a good Dentist .. look no further !! read more
