My family and I have been with Dr Rose for a very long time and have nothing but positive experiences and outcomes under her care. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I recently started coming to this place because my insurance had switched. Mind you, I've only been here three times in the last month for cleaning and fillings. After the first appointment it felt as though there were sarcastic comments made at me but I decided not to divulge into it and let it slide. The second time I came in was for a filling and let me tell you it was PAINFUL. My parents had warned me about this place cause they came there in the past with similar experiences, telling me that the office is known for being cheap and trying to save money by not wanting to give you a good amount of novocaine. My dentists in the past have always taken care of me so I've never known what drilling pain felt like. They also messed up my filling in the second session because it was still sensitive throughout the last few weeks. The last session I came for was my last filling for my right side. I am never nervous when it comes to going to the dentist but ever since the last visit I was slightly traumatized. I had told the doctor that the filling from the previous week was still sensitive and if they could take a look at it. I had also asked them if I could get extra novocaine this time because of the drilling pain from the week before that. She said I could only get it if I start to feel discomfort and to raise my hand but WHY would I want to wait until I feel pain to get novocaine? After they had drilled it in I immediately felt it and shook from the pain as her water cleaner sprayed all over my face because it was broken before they started working on my teeth. After they had finished they decided to look at my other filling they worked on previously and without adding novocaine she had used the polisher knowing that I told her it was sensitive. I jolted back hard from the intense ache after she touched it and they both told me not to move and to raise my left hand if I felt discomfort. HOW was I supposed to raise my hand in that moment when it happened so fast and had already told them I was in pain. They did not care about my well being and didn't want to waste their shot on me. No genuine apology, some sarcastic comments saying "I know I know" and leaving me with a traumatic experience with the pain that replayed in my head over and over again. Here for our baby girls first visit and wifeys annual check up. The whole team was welcoming and took all precautions for the Covid pandemic. We felt really safe and comfortable. Ellen, who was our tech, made our daughter feel comfortable but treated her as a big kid. Nice and clear in explaining the process to my baby. I could tell it eased her and made the experience more enjoyable. As for the wifey, her visit was actually simultaneous with my daughters, she couldn't be more happy with her check up and dental assistant. I'm telling you, the whole staff was awesome! I had been a patient for years but just realized i have been going and referred many people to a BAD dentist office. They are profit only oriented and very discriminating about the rate. I paid $35 for complete cleaning (without coupon) for years and my unemployed friend was charged $75. When I asked them if they would help my friend, they would rather lose my business and all my friends that i referred to them. When my friend being treated like that, my decission was clear not to go to Halili dental ever again. I have insurance currently and will be gladly to go to other dentist that takes care of their patients. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. I have never been so disappointed with any given business. First off, I have been going to this dentist since I was young. It was all I or my family knew so we thought they were a typical dentist. Well I got married a little over 1 year ago and no longer had the same insurance. Unfortunately I was low on money but needed a ton of work done. I had great insurance but it wasn't excepted at the Halili Dental Office. I thought I was in luck when they offered me a discount for a root canal , not great but I would have rather made it work here, then experiment at another dental office. To put an extremely long story short, they did unnecessary xrays to charge my insurance because they were giving me a discounted rate out of pocket. Then they did an open and drain on my tooth before removing my nerve in my tooth (root canal). After going home I had extreme and I mean extreme pain in the tooth where they supposedly removed my nerve. I went into the dentist and told him something was wrong because I cried for two to three days straight after the procedure. He didn't look at my tooth and dismissed me, he told me of course because he took out the nerve is why I was in pain. I asked for antibiotics because he even stated it was infected but he refused me. I was so frustrated and hurting and he would not help me. I had no choice but to check into a random dentist to try and get help. That was one of the biggest blessings in the world. I found a wonderful Dentist who was helpful in every way you can think of. They didn't treat me as if I was some sort of antibiotic feen, I brought my whole entire family there, they all couldn't believe we wasted so much time at Halili. I ended up going back to Halili Dentist to request a copy of my full mouth x rays so I wouldn't have to have a whole new set done (I didn't want all that radiation all over again). That experience with them was horrible once again. I walked in asking for a copy of my x rays, they gave me drama but ended up saying come back in thirty and they would be ready. I came back in over two hours just so I wouldn't have to wait if they weren't done yet. When I came the lady at the front office, changed the story completely and said now I have to pay $15 per x ray. I was so upset because they changed the story on me. I spoke to the manager (who in one time and place , use to be very nice) and but now she became very arrogant and rude. She did not want to listen to me and dismissed me immediately. I was so upset that I just asked for all the paper work that I have ever signed and let them know I would be seeking legal assistance. She called back her manager, while I was telling her I was done and no longer wanted to work it out, I just wanted the paper work I signed but she continued to call. After speaking another language so I would be unable to understand what was being said she hung up the phone. Then all of a sudden the dentist wanted to speak to me. After the long talk with the dentist explaining myself for the millionth time they gave me my x rays. This was a horrible experience and I will never ever return here or let any one I care about go here any more. Also forgot the most important part , that after reading my review to my husband he told me to add. They charged me for the beginning of a root canal, removing my nerve. Well after being forced to seek another dentist because they wouldn't help me with my pain, I found out they never removed my nerve. That is why I was in such EXTREME PAIN. I have a very good threshold for pain, but this pain brought my to tears for days. Never have been so irritate and received absolutely horrible service. Like so many, I hate the dentist, but I seriously dread going to dentists for all the trouble and scams they have put me through. My younger daughter has been going here now for years, though I went to a dentist in Sunnyvale by my work and tried another in Los Gatos and they were horrible. We now moved to South San Jose which is pretty far to Milpitas but never changed my daughter's dentist because she enjoyed coming here and for the first time, no cavities, unlike all her other dentists it was a nightmare with bad news every time. I decided to come here and give it a try, I cannot appreciate the doctor here enough. he doesn't rip his clients off and tells you the procedures and prices off hand before moving forward. Also, staff is pretty friendly, so even though miles have added up to get to this place, it's worth it. read more

Like two other reviewers, I wish I could give ZERO stars. I have been going there with my family for last 2 years but lately it has become a horrible place - I am DONE and strongly recommend to all viewers to stop going to this place. 1. Give appointment and then cancel without letting you know - guess what, in this day and age they are using a paper sheet to set appointments - NO software for appointments - they are bound to have such issues. 2. When they give you appointment you show up at the specific time, you still be sitting there for hours before you are actually called. 3. If you try to complain, the manager or doctors dont want to speak, poor receptionist has to take all heat - I have my sympathies for the desk staff. read more

I have been going to Halili dental since I was a teenager under my parents dental insurance. When I grew up and got my own dental insurance, I did some shopping around for a new dental clinic. I visited and consulted with a few but always felt UN-comfortable. So, I went back to Halili Dental. Really, this group of staff is very friendly, almost like family. One talkative staff. Dr. Aldwin is very comforting to have around during any dental procedures and his assistant Romel. Mary also is incredibly helpful and friendly! Now, I have a family and have decided to stay with Halili for our dental care. They have recommended us to a wonderful Ortho and even Oral Surgeons! For years, I thought Halili was quite reasonable for out-of-pockets payments but last year, it got a little bit expensive. I complained to them about it and asked them why. They patiently explained to me that it was the changed of my dental insurance policy! They do try to cut down cost from your personal Wallet but they can only do so much. I understood. I do recommend Halili Dental. At least give them a try and judge for yourself. One thing that I don't like though is they have their Filipino channel shows on Their wide screen TV all the time! Sometimes, i watch it but I wish they would put CNN or NBA on! read more

My family and I are from Sacramento and we've been receiving dental services from Halili Dental for over a decade. It surprises me when I read some of the dissatisfaction from other people, because my family and I never had any type of bad service from the Halili's. They had been and continues to be very accomodating. I don't think it is fair to bash the Halili's just because you have had issues with your insurance or any type of payment. The services they provide/offered is premium and it keeps getting better. We are 20 plus deep of family members and friends that goes to Halili dental and we are all very satisfied customers. Halili Dental is a fair and friendly place to receive dental services. We do not travel for two hours for nothing...we receive great services from Halili dental. Oh yeah, I consider Dr. Raymond as a friend because he is just that kind of guy: friendly and professional. The staff and doctors are very friendly and professional. They never fail to remind me that it's time for a check-up on a regular basis. There was I time when my entire family did not have dental insurance due to a job layoff and they were more than willing to help me out and offered affordable payment plans for our treatments.
