Up until December '07, I'd been a regular at AA for facials and then waxing. In both cases the service was good, but there was something missing. I was spending the same as i would at any other day spa in town, yet the atmosphere left a LOT to be desired. Dated pinky/peachy walls, VERY small treatment rooms, it just didn't make you feel pampered. Once i discovered Oasis Day Sap, i decided to move on.
For a bikini wax, Laura did a very good job, but not fabulous. Her lines weren't all that neat, and she isn't as thorough as she could be.
For facials, Tara did was very good, but she grated on my nerves with her know it all attitude as to why a facial and non-prescription products are ALWAYS better than a dermatologist and prescription drugs. For me, that just wasn't the case, and it took me about 8 months to realize that i could get better value for my $70/month. And NEVER let Tara do your eyebrows. Complete waste. I had to re-shape them completely when i got home.
The owner, Lucia, is also a bit abrasive in personality. I'd been going steadily for facials once a month, and there was a sudden price increase she didn't even bother to inform me of. I don't feel as though that is honest.
While you won't be wasting your money here, you won't feel like you got your EVERY pennies worth either. read more
