Yes, the building and concept are pretty nice. I'm new to the area and looking for a stylist. I worked with a young lady named Virginia over the phone to have a relaxer and color done. She was able to get me in straight away. I sent her pictures of the products that my stylist uses in Hawaii. Relaxer product she was familiar with but the color, but she would have to purchase the. I informed her that my regular stylist schedules my color treatments two weeks before or after the relaxer. Virginia said, using a Demi on the same day would be best. I agreed and never revisited the subject. At the time of the appointment, Virginia left the relaxer on my scalp until my scalp began to be irritated, and used a PERMANENT color on my hair. At the end of the treatments, she asked if I wanted my hair curled and styled. Of course, (is that not the standard.) I was a bit surprised by the question, but I showed her pictures of how I wear my hair. What she did was nothing like the picture I showed her. We did agree on a price of 160.00, again I'm new to the area and thought I was getting a Master Level Stylist. I paid 170.00 because I purchased the second hair color from her. Yes, I thought the service was overpriced, but you dealing with chemicals and it was a short-notice appointment. After leaving, I looked at the box of color that I purchased from her and it said PERMANENT NOT DEMI as we discussed. Yes, I have contacted Virginia and she denies any of our discussions. I stated for the price I paid I expected the quality service of a Master Level stylist. She is nowhere close. I now question if she even has a license. I have another appointment today with another salon for a deep condition. She will try and repair what damage has been done. There is so much more I can say, but this is getting too long. In summary---Don't use Virginia @PHENIX salon she's there for the money. Not the client. read more
