They charged me for the 30-45 min. consultation in addition to my color. The team here is super-friendly but my colorist was new, I think. I ended up going to Salon 730 in F burg and my new colorist showed me all the places in the back of my hair that the colorist at At Last missed. Honestly, I went in with a funky, ombre-hair-color-thing going-on and they fixed it. But it was a bill of about $325. I've NEVER paid that much in my life. After seeing the back of my hair, and paying normal prices elsewhere, I felt totally taken advantage of. Never again. A good experience with a friendly staff but the prices are gouging!

As soon as I pulled my hair out of its bun-mess, she knew the problem. Lori gave me a beautiful face-framing cut that works with my curls. I love it. Why couldn't my guy at home deliver that? My only regret is that I can't fit color into this trip too. Price was completely reasonable for the time and skill; a bargain even. Of course, I may be jaded by DC prices. I decided on a whim to get my hair colored, thankfully melissa allowed me to come in same day. I…read moresent her pictures of what i wanted and told her that my hair was thick+long. I was going to go from natural hair color (brown) to Denim (Washed out blue, ombre). I was told it would be half their normal price since i was a new customer, so it ended up being just over 100$ (normally over 200$) She initially stated it would take 2 hours, which ended up being 4, which i understand. The process was well and good, it was my first time having my hair colored so i do not have much to go on for experience. We got finished, it was not anything like i had asked for, but i am flexible and i still liked the final result even it wasnt anywhere near what i had asked for. Melissa informed me that i needed to wait 2 days before washing and to be sure to use color-safe shampoo and conditioner. I ended up waiting almost 3 days, but this point my blue hair had turned more aqua. I washed it as instructed, and now my hair is a very ugly swamp-green, and is patchy in areas where the hair wasnt bleached at all. The hair line is pure bright vivid blue where the bleach got the most action. I contacted the owner and stated my concern, to which i was told it would cost 225$ to fix correctly, or she could just add more blue for 70$ (which would not fix the issue) I contacted now 4 other salons around the area and was told that the process that was done was no where near what should have happened, and that something that drastically bad in color would have been free for them to fix. I voiced my final concern with the owner to see if she would be willing to fix the issue, to which she promptly told me that i had 'agreed' to color at the end of the 4 hours with her. Even though less than 72 hours later the color completely turned to a nasty green. Needless to say i am very irate, and will be taking all my future business elsewhere, and informing friends to stay clear.
